Thank you! Great video! I just ordered a pair. I am a singer in a local band. So yeah, I love the low-end thump. We aren't loud as most bands are. But we do strive for a well-rounded live sound. So, ANY headphones that have weak low-end frequencies are just plain BLAH for me. Question. I use the Sony Professional MDR-7506 (the older, real ones, not the newer China version crap) that I use in my Recording Studio. It's important to have a flat sound when mastering songs. On the Skullcandy Crusher ANC. If you dial back the Bass Sensor. Will it default to a more authentic flat sound? I plan to use them for listening to Studio Demos while exercising and walking around outside. Of course, I will be cranking the bass all the way up on iTunes, Spotify, etc. But I was just curious what they sound like when the Bass Sensor is set flat. Thanks again! I subscribed.
I remember the first Crushers they made way back in the late 2010's. They were very cheap looking and the headphones took 1 AA battery for the bass to even work. Sadly over time the drivers would fry themselves and stop working. Then I gave them another shot with the second Crushers they made which were the first Bluetooth ones to release, I loved them. It's 2024 and I got them in 2016 and it's unbelievable that they are still thumping with frequent use. Sure they might not be for specific people that consider themselves audiophiles but for someone who grew up with a family member with subwoofers in the car it really hits home. I'll probably give it a few more months before I upgrade and retire these headphones ♥️
I’m listening on those headphones now. That bass is like a subwoofer in an overly excited guys trunk. Pretty worthwhile though the bass at times is overkill if I don’t turn it down. Thanks for the video! I didnt realize that dial effects the bass.
My pair from late 2017 was just recycled this year, sadly. The only thing wrong with them was one of the ear foams ripped off and was unable to place back onto the headset. Thinking back on it, I shouldn't have recycled them.
Good video! I’ve owned every pair of the skull candy crusher series and about every other model they’ve had from buds to over ear. Good review! I wish you had more experience with skullcandy for a previous opinion on if they’re noticeably different from the first gen etc etc

I bought 3 of the first gen. 2 got stolen at the gym 😢and the other got torn by my newborn. That’s how much I love these headphone. I want these to give it a try.
I have the original skullcrushers bought back in 2013. The bass is still going strong. Ready to get the anc2 because I want to retire the originals before they break.
I ordered the original Crusher ANC the other day because they were on sale but i just received them last night and it turns out they sent the Crusher ANC 2 instead, a $60-70 price difference so no complaints here for their mistake😂 the ANC 2 are the ones i wanted but didn’t want to spend $220 on them
Hi Mark... love the channel :) I bought these things based on two factors, 1) your recommendation and 2) I was drunk. While I prefer the overall experience of M4 and APM, I find these a fun alternative, especially when listening to hip hop. The most notable things to me are 1) the anc is basically non-existent although the cups do isolate well even without it and 2) the haptic rattle is not merely a gimmick but it actually seems to enhance things if kept below 30%.
Can’t wait to get these in a bit. I had a pair of Evos a few years ago back until they got stolen. Need some “fun” headphones again, because I just have my AirPods, iem’s, and flat AKG’s, and need something that’s actually nice to listen to.
I have to disagree with your opinion on the ANC, the Crusher ANC 2 cancels more noise than my Momentum 4, in fact, the Crucher ANC 2 are in first place on ANC on my Headphones collection , I will never compare them with Bose and Sony because those are God Tier ANC but if they cancel more noise than the Momentum 4 on my tests, maybe you need to re test them.
I wonder whether these would be suited to a gym? I need something that's reasonably firm on the head i.e lying down and getting up from a bench press, and that can also block out the gym's music.
I’m thinking of getting these for the gym, more specifically the anc and the bass rumble to hype me up. When I tried them in the store, I think they were firm to my head so hopefully they won’t move around much when I’m lying down, etc
If you want to pay 40-50€ more just for ANC go ahead. Who needs ANC? Just crank up the sound on the Crusher Evo’s and you won’t hear anything else than music, plus just having the crusher evo’s on year head with no music, blocks out some of the sound from the outside.
@stefanvojnovic1329 I need ANC because I have damaged hearing and I listen to music at really low volumes, and let me tell you that the youtuber is wrong, the ANC is more effective than my Momentum 4, the original Crusher ANC's ANC was a joke but this ones are a different beast.
@@stefanvojnovic1329I never owned the Evos but I tested them before, if you want ANC, the Crusher ANC 2 is the way to go, the youtuber is wrong about ANC being bad, is more effective than my momentum 4, at least is what my ears hear, the featurea and everything else are great too, I got the Walmart version for $200 and this blow the original $329 version out of the water.
I've had both the ANC and EVO edition. The anc was quite good. Perhaps because I've first owned the Evo edition then switched to the ANC edition. I've noticed that the Ego's are better and securely build. Less chance of breaking. The anc version is also older and therefore the bass is less... But that's the main reason im so excited. They've had 3 years to upgrade in bass noise cancellation and other functions and durability. I'm surely they're amazing im about to buy those pretty soon. Pair these with an 8 ohm speaker out amp and a Dayton Audio TT25-8 puck or two attached to your chair or a thin laptop backpack. And optionally low pass filter the signal going to the amp. Or if you want something harder, a Dayton Audio BST-1.

Man watching movies with this headphone is so awesome.
Went to my local HMV and tried a pair on, most comfortable and best sounding headphones I've ever heard.
These are my dream headphones and i cant wait to start working part time to get them
Did the music go hard enough ? Or only hard bass .
@@moefis Music was alr ig but the bass was banging
Skullcandy has an almost 50% off sale this weekend! They are $135 after tax instead of $230+
I made some headphones like that when I was a kid. So I’ve always looked for some that were Bluetooth because the ones I built weren’t very good for what I had laying around lol. So I’ll definitely have to check these out.
Hey Mark… I recommend that you give all of your headphone reviews a ‘Sledgehammer’ (Peter Gabriel) score… from 1 to 10 in 1/2 step increments. What ‘Sledgehammer’ score would you give these?
I have a pair of the original, and I say if you have a home and / or car system, these are for you. Yes, mine still work. The black material has rubbed off of the ear cuffs, but they haven't broken.
I died at 4:16 🤣🤣🤣 What an awesome review!!
These left my left ear aching they are very lively feel like I'm at a concert.
I got the pioneer Skullcandy Crusher back in 2018 and I’m still using it now. Like that BASS….
I wish you had more experience with skullcandy for a previous opinion on if they’re noticeably different from the first gen etc etc
would you recommend them or Crusher Evo to buy?
@@phantomsane2987 I prefer them over the evo series. I don’t really care for the evo series honestly. But bang for your buck is good
@danielcrampitt eventually, I've decided to buy Sennheiser M4's. Got them for 211$ on sale . I hope they won't let me down.
Bought them fo169€ in Germany today, and so far, I'm very impressed. Finally, I can add bass where it's needed ...lots of bass if the recording is especially thin
I miss how skullcandy used to look, they had colour and character not just pitch black, at least some highlights
Really nice review 🫶
Just got mine on sale at Best Buy for $135 and I couldn't be happier
Anc 2??
@@GB-yy2hq yeah but sale ended
I’ve been rocking the crushers since they had AA batteries to power them and had a microphone jack! Love the brand.
So is the crusher headphones good? If I love heavy metal is this worth it? Will it be louder than any other headphones I have used?
They are not selling many of these! Their sales are down for these new headphones! They should of made colors
They have made a white one now
I have to disagree with your opinion on the ANC, the Crusher ANC 2 cancels more noise than my Momentum 4, in fact, the Crucher ANC 2 are in first place on ANC on my Headphones collection , I will never compare them with Bose and Sony because those are God Tier ANC but if they cancel more noise than the Momentum 4 on my tests, maybe you need to re test them.
Good Note
this headset + interstellar wormhole = epic cinema climax
I just bought some and I’m a huge bass lover these are really great for me
Back in the day we had the Panasonic shockwave vmss walkman. Check that baby out!
I wonder whether these would be suited to a gym? I need something that's reasonably firm on the head i.e lying down and getting up from a bench press, and that can also block out the gym's music.
I’m thinking of getting these for the gym, more specifically the anc and the bass rumble to hype me up. When I tried them in the store, I think they were firm to my head so hopefully they won’t move around much when I’m lying down, etc
and apparently they have replaceable ear pads!!! 😮
Is it me or does the bass only works on one side of my Anc 2?
The Beach by The Neighbourhood sounds incredible on these headphones.
commenting to come back and listen when they come in the mail
i LOVE bass and these where definetly made for me, as a teenage gym going bass lover!
How do these compare to the crusher evos?
This man says he still has to figure out who might like those. I can guarantee gymrats do
@@jasonskulls1547 I go to the gym 6 days a week, and as you said it yourself, the evo’s are more durable and less chance of breaking. Therefore I have them, because if you drop them in the gym while lifting, it’s ok
How much bass do you think it has?
Does it get your chest moving or nah?
Can it get my heart rate up?
Pair these with an 8 ohm speaker out amp and a Dayton Audio TT25-8 puck or two attached to your chair or a thin laptop backpack. And optionally low pass filter the signal going to the amp. Or if you want something harder, a Dayton Audio BST-1.
if you have a large head that doesn’t fit regular baseball hats, i really wouldn’t recommend these, the clamping force is far too great for me and hurts after just an hour of wear. other than that, they’re amazing.
I loved the first one and when I first put them on the sensory base would kind of tingle my spine but I ended up getting a bit used to it
How comfortable are these with your glasses? My Beats kill my ears after more than 45 minutes.
Since I've got my crusher wireless. I then bought alot more headphones expecting better sound quality than I already have.. Bought a bunch of the flagship headphones of like those of Sony's, JBL, Senhieser and so on but I still come back to Skullcandy ends with the new crusher Anc 2.
What about the bass?
I am wondering which Sony and Sennheiser headphones do you have?
Haha... the young Labourer at work bought these, I have Senn. Momentum 4s, which are fantastic.... The Skullcandy's made me laugh out loud at the bass! They are incredible!
Which are better ?
using apps like wavelet or poweramp on android or equilizer apo on pc these can be easily tuned to sound flat
i haven’t watched the rest of the video but do they have more bass then the crusher evos? or no because 3MONTHS AFTER I GOT MY EVOS THEY COME OUT WITH A NEW PAIR😭😭😭
The problem is if you've never ever used a crusher ANC or evo there is nothing special about your video because everything you said about it is everything everyone said about the previous crusher versions...
If you’ve never used a pair of these, surely this video is marginally interesting?! That’s kinda the point, Jason. Would you like me to draw pictures to explain how this works?
@@MarkEllisReviewsgood one mark 😂
How do momentum 4s compare? I just got the momentum 4s and it seems way too low volume and bass
The first pump with these is gonna be nasty 🤙💪🔥
These are sooo amazing and premium and my new favorites.
Can they handle trance music as that's my favoured bass I've just bought a pair but also have the sennheizer momentum 4s
great review!
I got these the other day, but Im honestly afraid to turn them up too loud with the bass. They feel like they're gonna blow. Has anyone ever blown the bass drivers in them? I listen to a lot of dubstep and i like it fuckin loud as hell so ive been tryna resist not pushing them too hard
Looks like curiosity got the best of you Mark! 😂 Good thing you have a curiosity about these things 🙌🏼
what would you recommend between skullcandy crusher anc2 or bose QC 45☺️, for a person who wants to listen to music every day?
I just got them to use on an airplane trip for about 3h and the battery was 100% on the beginning of the trip and 5% when I landed. How does the 50h battery life work?
did you find that these headphones had a large clamping force? were they super tight on your head at all?
Nice review. Tbh, these are the last headphones that needed noise cancelling.
The bass the originals produce is insane. They almost put my 12" subs to shame.
Gonna get these for fun, and the Focal Bathys for sound quality.
honestly surprised you said the anc was not up to par. I saw other's reviews and saw that the noise transparency was not good but they all said the anc was comparable to the flagship bose, sony, and air pods max.
It’s miles off the competition.
@@MarkEllisReviews@vclapzzzy9382
he’s right. It’s miles off, I’m actually not impressed with them. I think the ANC 1 was better. Maybe I got a bad pair?
My left ear muff doesn't have any bass and it is low in volume but the right side is great (crusher Evo) what do I do?
Same! Only had them 48 hours
Are these lighter in weight than the beats studio 3's ❓
slighty light
Just bought these and played Exicision's "Decimate" track, Crusher to 80%, and boy... I almost fell off from that bass. These headphones are pricy but worth it...
Love it. Going to get myself some Brave Pills before listening to 72 Seasons
i have the original ones from the early 2000s, worth the upgrade?
I am looking for a headphone to give me a movie watching experience that I get when watching in my room with soundbar and subwoofer at home as I am moving and I don't want to disturb my roommates or neighbours. Is this it? Obviously I won't get the same effect as a subwoofer but would this work?
i got 2 of the crusher evo and 1 crusher wireless in case skullcandy stopped producing these. its a gods send. agree not everyone likes it but i absolutely love it.
yea the bass is a bit punchy compared to the other ones u have to really fuc with the equalizer on the app and sound setting in ur phone but they not bad plus they on sale right now.
4:33 is my favorite part
Thanks for this review, in currently on the hunt for my death metal headphones, gotta replace my sanhieser HD4.40bt
thank you for the review. please which do you prefer between this and the souindcore Q45 I dont know which one to pick.
I have a question, can the hearing aids be updated?
I'm getting a pair. Thank u🎉
I have these and I can say THEY REALLY BANG. 🔥
Are they loud enough on max volume
So these( skull candy anc2) or Bose QuietComfort 45?
I had the snoop dog headphones hated needing a battery to use the bass
I have tried (you name it I tried it ) Unless Its Macintosh and you are spending a per capita of a medium economy, Skull candy is the best Headphone in the under $400 range. I have tried their crusher wireless, ANC, EVO etc...hands down best quality headphones.
