When I bought it in its specifications it was written that it only has one slot for an M2 SSD (no storage expansion), but on your video, I see that it has a slot for a second M2 SSD. Also, I opened it on my laptop and I saw there is a second slot for M2, free, and I am a little confused I want to ask you if that port is functional or not, and why in the specifications it is not stipulated by the second slot for capacity. what do you know? I brought the Crucial 16GB DDR5 5600MHZ RAM having the exact same specs as per CPU-Z/Hinfo bit still my system downclocked both the RAM TO 5200MHZ. Any ideas how to fix it.
Brother alienware isnt value for money , in simple words its costly cuz of brand name, where as acer helios offers much value for money product iam getting acer helios 16 i9 13th with 4070 in rs 1.5lakh inr (indian rs ) which is worth it every penny
Helios all the way. Build quality is premium and you are going to get ALOT more for your money getting the predator. Bestbuy literally has an alienware with 13700HX and 4070 for the same price as helios with 13900HX and 4080 which stomps 13700HX and 4070. 4070 performance in laptop real world is WAY worse than 4080 as well. If you are going to go for it, get the 4080 model. Only thing that is pretty terrible on the helios is the speakers, but i'm comparing that to my macbook pro 16" so that isn't really fair. everything else is amazing@@nat.so.9851
I can say i got Helios 16 with 32gb RAM amd rtx4070 and i7 and its awsome for Gaming. I can Play Almost all games on Max Settings Even There Are critzics about The 4070 Laptop Version
I guess most of the people here are newbies to pc building, single channel does hurt the performance mainly the 1% lows & not necessarily Avg fps. You might get a high fps with single channel but it will stutter. Dual channel is like switching 60hz to 144hz, the smoothness is very noticable
Well the fps are the same, but what about stuttering and 0.1% low? Did you manage to improve it with the additional 16 gb of ram? I have the same laptop and I’m willing to upgrade it because many modern games stutter like hell even though the fps are high

Yes, but it’s important to install the other ram with the same exact specs to the ram you have, in terms of (Speed, Type, Latency, Size) otherwise it will cause performance issues. For example I have one slot occupied that is Size: 16 GB Type: DDR5 Speed: 5600mhz Latency: CL40 If i want to upgrade, i will have to get a ram with the same exact specs in order to run at dual channel mode and have a performance boost. DON’T mix ram sizes / speed / type or latency

I brought a 16GB Crucial RAM with the same CL timings of the stock RAM. Still my system downclocked both RAM To 5200. Better check first. Better use the same brigand or but a kit.
Latest bios will not run this exact kit at 5600mhz. There is a Gskill ripjaws kit that is much better on Amazon. It is a 16x2 32GB kit that runs at 5600mhz on the very latest bios and it also has a much better CL40 latency.. this ramjet kit has a CL46. The RAM upgrade is necessary too.. 16Gb will cause stutters and hitches in some games bc it creates a bottleneck.. the videos showing performance differences do not depict the issues with 16GB. some games use over 20GB of system ram while in game.. this is where your hitching will be horrible. Low FPS is also very different in pretty much all titles as well. I love the laptop and upgrading is cheap. They sold the unit with 16GB to drive the retail down lower than competitors.

On my 13900K/4090 desktop in 4K with manual max settings, the system pulls over 28GB of RAM and 19GB VRAM in cod mw3. Your operating system will allocate RAM(and VRAM!) according to your specific max capacity to keep the system running “efficiently,” but that doesn’t mean your game and system doesn’t require more while gaming. For a silly example: You could be showing 11GB of total system RAM usage in RTSS during gaming, but if you have 32GB over 16GB, the same game with the same settings and hardware would be showing a system pull of up to 17GB instead of 11GB because the game and all background processes requires much more ram capacity when you would never even realize it. Monitor frame times and low FPS and you can really dig into whether or not you need more RAM; bc with a 13900HX/13900K(all high end CPU’s) and a top end GPU, those two components won’t be the issue as far as bottlenecks are concerned. CPU, GPU, RAM, power, port speeds, motherboard specs(for several items), etc all present potential bottlenecks of themselves and each other in a system. Ram speed, ram capacity, and ram latency all matter so much more than the basic user realizes and videos/reviews online cannot truly depict the differences as far as real world performance is concerned in gaming and/or productivity and developmental software.

There is a very clear difference with the RAM upgrade. Watch the RAM usage total on RTSS. If he was measuring his 1% and .1% low FPS, they would show a massive change. I have the 4080 model with same CPU but it came with 2x8 sticks = 16GB. I had serious hitching in cyberpunk, forza motorsport, starfield, and ESPECIALLY flight sim with FPS dropping down in single digits as stutters. Those are the 1% and .1% low FPS i'm referring to. The RAM upgrade eliminated the hitching/stutters 100%. 16GB is nowhere near enough with all OS background processes running muchless any additional processes while gaming in several newer/demanding titles. Not sure why these units are even shipped with 16GB because 32GB would not drive the price up that much with the same config. 32GB is necessary in the helios 16.
Honestly that's a good thing with these gaming laptops, intel cpus run hot. Also agree with dieseldawg, the 16GB offers are poor for gaming & in some cases they're poor when you're trying to run multiple programs, despite that being what intel is built for.

Temp performance even with the 13900HX overclocked is shockingly good in cinebench. hogwarts legacy and flight sim are using 21+GB of system memory in game after upgrading to 32GB.. they were horrible with 16GB. They run smooth as butter now and I hit over 19k in timespy with the 32GB cl46. Highest I hit with 16GB cl40 was 18,3xx. Also thankful the 4080 has 12GB of VRAM, but tbh, that isn’t enough vram in 2023 either.. need minimum 16GB even at QHD+. I have a massively overclocked 13900K/4090 desktop and I’ve seen games use over 21GB of VRAM maxed out in 4K.

I think you should try to open your laptop and check if it has a 2 ssds
Neo is lower end version of helios. Check the other youtube video with the same model of your laptop to verify.
The Neo 16 can upgrade both ram and storage just like the Helios 16.

Yes, you don't need dual channel with ddr5. That's only an issue with ddr4
