- These are the cutscenes from Star Wars: Tie Fighter, part of the Star Wars: X-Wing computer game series on the PC / personal computer. I do not own the scenes.
Star Wars: Tie Fighter is made and owned by Lucasfilm.
The events in Star Wars: Tie Fighter take place in between Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980 film) and Star Wars: Episode IV: Return of the Jedi (1983 film). - บันเทิง
Piloting a TIE Defender was the best.
The TIE Avenger's appearance takes the form of two Interceptor claw panels joined back-to-back on each side of the round cockpit pod.
In a bit of lineage, Maul's Phantom Menace Infiltrator has a round cockpit pod that would later be used in the TIE fighters that would enter service during the bridge to the second trilogy (Force Unleashed, Rebels, Rogue-1).
Yeah, it was really great, and Thrawn's assault gunboat was a mauler as well. I remember how i was so enthralled, it got under my skin so much more than x wing. I remember i got the expansion Defender of the Empire on a couple of floppys.after a couple of years when they revamped it in 640*480 and gave it another campaign it was such a surprise. such memories. Entering the inner circle of the Emperor XD (false emperor of course, for there is only One who sits on the Golden Throne on Holy Terra XD). Cheers to all the dudes and dudettes pew pewing for the greater glory of the Empire!
It gets better with the King Hell God-Emperor Starfighter of Death, also called the Missile Boat.

Oh, the memories... Back in the days when Star Wars had an awesome and imaginative story. What a pity that Disney didn't base Episodes VII-IX on Timothy Zahn's books. Thrawn was such a great character!
Disney either killed the franchise on purpose, or are absolute inept fools. I would assume the former to be true.

Has anybody ever wondered why VICE ADMIRAL Thrawn was already wearing the Grand Admiral's uniform before officially receiving the title? I know he looks way cooler in that white uniform, that's always been his signature look but, still.
Had a dream last night that I was playing/living this and taking on a nebulon B frigate. Got up this morning and just had to watch these again.

Apparently, this is one of the earliest appearances of Coruscant.
Back in the days before it was an ecumenopolis and more just a very densely populated planet.
This version of imperial palace is much better than the so called canon

When I first got this game (on floppy discs), my first goal whenever fighting X-Wrings was to ID and take out Red Five.
I think it was in the expansion where the TIE Defender was introduced - that was a fun ship to fly.
Am I the only one who was fuming that we were not assigned to the Endor battle? If our protagonist was there, Millennium Falcon and Wedges X-Wing would have been debris in space, and Empire would have prevailed. As things were, the terrorists got their "Republic", which degenerated into chaos instantly.
If the protagonist had been there - and if Thrawn had been in command...

Good thing X-Wing Alliance does it as its finale, albeit not as an Imp.
I am too. If our protagonist and Thrawn had been there, the Rebels would've been wiped out and the Empire would've ruled the galaxy forever! Damn Zarrin and his selfish lust for power for distracting our protagonist and Thrawn!

Well considering the name is derived from "coruscating," it's logical.

Many years ago in the Coruscant palace. I was promoted to Lieutenant in the Imperial Navy.
Many of us around thousand of us Army Captains and Navy Lieutenants were invited by Emperor Palpatine in the newly built Coruscant Palace.
It was a building I never saw. It was glorious. It was a mixture of classic and even older elements
of the Ancient Sith Empire style. There we were invited by him. We stood in a large mosaic hall full of statues of Old Ancient Sith Warriors. I remember standing in front of the statue of one known as
the Emperor's Wraith. We Navy stood on one side in 3 rows facing the Army Captains who were also standing
in 3 rows facing us across the hall. Then the door to the inner chamber opened and out came Emperor Palpatine and his enforcer Lord Vader. The Emperor inspected all of us in the process very seriously and very slowly
that took 3 hours total. High impression. When The Emperor moved we did not think much. But when he spoke,
it was more then a strong impression I dare say it was more hypnotic. Lord Vader also inspected us but he said nothing. To be fair I was more intimated by Lord Vader then the Emperor. When it was done we were finally put at ease. We were served with drinks and sandwiches. Then suddenly we had to put the food away. The Emperor
was now on a high podium. He was speaking to us in a commanding tone that we had to follow him and him alone. Yeah...that was it. To me, maybe I am too Tarisian. But The Emperor in person is more impressive in person
then in holograms and Displays. Vader was however more imposing than I would have thought. I served in Lord Vader's ship at one time but we did not see each other, in fact it was better this way.

After years of accepting the other pronunciation, that sounds both weird and funny.
Micro Boss It was occasionally pronounced that way in the earlier audiobooks and the Dark Empire Trilogy audio dramas. I never considered it to be too strange. Places can have different pronounciations.
And then there's Tan-tyve Four or Tan-tee-vee Four.

Why the voice acting is... awesome?
I can’t tell you how many hours I put into this game. I waited what seemed like forever for XvT and turns out it wouldn’t run on my shitty computer. I’m surprised how well this holds up.
Thia brings me back of almost 30 years to childhoos. I was happy, and always in shortage of joysticks. Sigh!❤

Well, there's TFTC for X-Wing Alliance Upgrade.
Star Wars: TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance, FreeSpace 2, Tachyon: The Fringe, Red Baron 3D, and Il-2 Sturmovik: 1946/Complete Edition. These are retro flight combat sims for the PC that are still worth an easy try nowadays.
If only Freelancer is not abandonware. Would also easily recommend that had it not been so.
Edit: Would also add Wing Commander III, IV, and Privateer. Shame I and II are just hard to play nowadays, what with the current releases not of the Kilrathi Saga compilation.
I would have liked an alternate campaign where you could fly for Zaarin.
Hmm, a fan campaign for XWAU involving this would be nice.

I'm so excited to see Thrawn in Rebels season 3.
With Tim Zahn behind his new novel, I have a lot of hope for his character. Besides, more Thrawn is always a good thing.

Luke in TLJ = how you reboot a character and epically fail.
I can't remember, is there a cutscene for getting captured by the Rebels? I remember in X-Wing if the Imperials pick you up after you eject from your fighter you get to have a chat with Vader about the location of the Rebel base.

Yes, just saw it the other day for the first time in a long time. Usually either the Imperials pick me up or I just die.
I feel like I remember a cutscene where the emperor tortures you if you fail a mission... which happened to me often
Never saw that often, since I just skip it and reloaded the save.

I enjoyed seeing Harkov and later Zarrin getting what they deserved for betraying the Empire. I found the sounds Harkov made as he was being lifted in the air by Vader to be funny.
4:45 that scene alone is better than the sequel trilogy combined
I had hoped the sequel trilogy would've been the heir to the empire books that told Thawns story

After hearing clips of Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels his voice here sounds... wrong...
Even as a kid, seeing those Tie Advanced ships just stop at the window and turn was always janky as shit, but I forgot how much the stars in the background scrolled even when completely stationary like the whole thing was taking place inside a room being lit by a goddamn disco ball.
For all its flaws, Rebels sure gave us the definitive Thrawn voice in the form of Lars Mikkelsen's.
