That's why it's super important to do tons of research before you buy, especially if you plan on "levelling up" Some cars are incredibly cheap to won in the long run; lIke, if the IMS bearing is replaced, the Cayman will be happy to just sit there and run forever, and even then, the IMS bearing doesn't come near the cost of the car. The BMW, on the other hand, well, you probably need to be able to buy the car 3 times.
@@fuzzpunks3639 and your bank. Recently got a BMW 325xi, it’s awesome and I’ve heard they are fairly reliable it’s a 2006 and I got it for 5,700$ so it doesn’t break the bank obviously so if I do have problems, we’ll those problems shouldn’t be problem... 😂
I have a 2010 S5 and all I can say is that their only problems are there timing chains which usually fail around 90-100k miles, so as long as you get that replaced beforehand I have had no major problems
I would buy the F-Type because I did buy the F-Type V8S convertible this time last year. I could not be any happier with the purchase and the price. New it was over $100k, gotta love that depreciation! They're not a dime a dozen either, so there is exclusivity for sure. The styling and that roaring V8 make it the perfect weekend car.
One of the things I like about Brad Danger is that he invested in a green screen, which is more than can be said for a certain cheap bastard I could name :)
Got my F-Type ‘17 in August of last year with under 5.000 km for more than 60% less than new. And ever since JLR announced earlier this year that they’re gonna be all electric by 2025 I feel a slight increase regarding prices for used F-Types.
Yep!!! and You are 'OFF" your rocker to buy any of these Check Your Engine Light Nightmares!!!.....ThiMk about it why are the sooooo cheap....Oh! I forgot Cheap is the operative word! Amazzzzzzzzing blast to drive / tow to shop!!!
If you want a MB SL550 or SL55 AMG, make sure you get the candidate’s medical history. From personal experience, ABC, Active Body Control, that fancy computer-controlled suspension, if not properly maintained, which requires a fluid flush every 20K miles, and you find a car that “settles” after it’s parked, it could cost you over $15K at the dealer and around $9K at a European mechanic shop to rebuild the system. And then there’s the gas tank slosh baffling panels that have a tendency to break their spot welds, creating a rattling noise inside the tank that will cost you $4K or more to replace. And you can know that is the problem if the noise goes away when you completely fill the tank. So, if you see a MB with ABC parked in a used car lot or in the driveway of the fraudster who fails to report the problem/lack of proper maintenance to you, just walk away.
I’ve logged a few thousand kilometres in an SL55 AMG (Ottawa Toronto), so the Benz with the power, that top and it’s sound! Add to that ... the price! They are not as problematic or pricey as the M5, the Maserati or the Aston Martin’s tend to be. But they, even as a drop top, are still not as sexy as any DB9/DBS/Vantage/Vanquish or the Maserati’s ... even their “Four Door”, Which one would I recommend? The Porsche. Thanks for the video and have an amazing weekend.
But most of the cars that deprecated so fast so quickly is because they’re absolutely RUBBISH QUALITY, with Maintance costs outstripping the purchase price, BMW rubbish a prime example, hmmmmm notice how so many on this list are German
Appreciation and Depreciation all surround varying reasons but the main reason is purchases. Since the R32 becoming legal, dealers have noticed a trend - TH-cam. The Dodge Charger was to be the saving grace of Dodge, Chrysler has streamlined their production to the Chrysler 300, a large portion of sales are from TH-cam. This video is one of the reasons car prices fluctuate as well because it tells people what to buy.
In July 2020 I almost bought a 2018 Jaguar F-Type SVR for $42,000 and needed 2 days to gather the money 💰 The owner had lost his job and needed to get out of the payment to save his credit wanted 💸 cash . Now I decided not to pursue the loan, because it wasn't a 6 speed manual transmission. I waited the 2 days and he had sold it the day before. So would have had the loan on a car, which was sold already the day before, the check would have arrived. Assuming, 📫postal service was running normal.
Don't recommend C5 seen many burned on highway, and 2 C6 brand new with less than 2,000 mile at the dealership with the engine block bare could see thru to the floor. Add any parts especially, old rubber grommets, Seals, bushings from suspension or mount would need to replace those. $10,000 C5 or C6 expect to spend another $10,000 to $15,000 to get sorted just drive a relatively raced driven more like at the track car
Under normal circumstances id easily go for the S5 but concerns with reliability and me owning the facelift of the original A5 redirect me in the corner where the Cayman's at. It's a friggin Porsche! What more needs to be said? That car has burned it's way in to my brain. Anyone who's played or seen it in the original Most Wanted knows what im talking about.
Aston all the way....they are more reliable than people think...you just have to maintain them, and use only quality parts...and if you do that, they will love you back.
I know it's not the same class as these but I got an RX8 in fabulous condition with super low mileage of 21,000, it had lost a little compression, but I sold the engine for more than I paid for the car, I put a V6 in it(the engine it should have had from the start) & it performed beautifully, I say performed because I no longer have it, my beautiful wife, who hated it with the rotary engine decided it's the most fabulous car in the world & I am never getting it back. I don't have much luck with the cars I build, my son stole my (Unbelivebly fast) Suzuki GSXR1000cc bike engined Cappuccino, & my daughter took my MR2 SW20 V6(450 whp) & it handles beautifully. I'm currently building a GT40 replica(it's not a replica, it just looks like a GT40) with an Audi V10, (yes that Audi V10) that cost me a "Custom Cafe Racer", so I'm hoping it's going to be something special, in all honesty, I've only got about £3,500 in it.
@Pinned by Ideal Cars My dream car is the "Ultima RS", I'm not quite there yet, but the building of it is all part of the experience, as you can see I like to get my hands dirty. Love the channel & wish you all the best.

Just remember that $100K may have depreciated 60+%... when it comes time for repairs, it's still seen as a $100K car, and you will pay accordingly.
Also I'm starting to notice u talk about the same exact cars in most videos. Can we please get some diversity PLEASE

They depreciate so much cause they aren’t worth what they charge for them out the gate. Only idiots pay 100k more than a cars worth.
