Came across your video when doing research for my property in upstate NY - but lo and behold, happy to hear another newf (my wife and I are from St. John's) - small world. Thanks for the video.
Brian Mendoza Thanks Brian. You never know where you'll find another Newfoundlander lol. Thanks for commenting and your welcome for the video. Keep well down there.
Hey Jamie it worked lol. Thanks for the great service bud. Hope you sell a few of these mats because they are hands down a 200% improvement over the OEM one. Hope. You enjoyed the video. Cheers and have a great day.
You can also take off the existing pad and get some black indoor outdoor carpet, use pad as a templet to make a nice mat - Less jingo -$ Love your channel!!! keep it coming
would it be possible for you to add the links in your videos to where you purchase the upgrades and add ons that you do to your tractors? also love your vids! your truly talented! I just bought a bx2670 and am getting many ideas from your videos!!
Thanks my buddy. Sorry for the slow response. It's gone crazy on this end with the work in the shop. Going to try and post another video in a day or so. Glad you enjoyed this one. Hope you've been well and life is treating you well. Seen a chopper fly over low the other day and I thought it was you looking for a place to touch down ;)
Nice little upgrade. Seems like kubota is good at having good dealerships. I love going to my kubota dealer except there my redmax dealer. Theyre all great guys over there. Its kinda funny seeing you alone vs you and wifey. Your a completely different person around her haha
Yes Kubota has a great dealer network for sure. Glad to hear yours is good to deal with. Ya I'm a different person without the wife around. Not sure if she brings out the best or the worst in me lol
Those brackets came with the mirrors. They are golf cart mirrors. I think I was the first one to adapt them to the BX tractors. Some come with brackets but some others don't. Thanks for watching. Here's a set with brackets. www.ebay.ca/itm/GOLF-CART-CLUB-CAR-EZ-GO-YAMAHA-CAR-TRUCK-SIDE-MIRROR-Generic-/121715047089?hash=item1c56c83ab1:g:-z0AAOSwT6pVtzOU
Thanks Bob. I was never fussy about the OEM mat. It did the job but I didn't like the look but I was com pairing it to the GL so maybe that's why. Have a great day my friend.
Do you happen to know if that floor mat would fit a BX1870 the OEM mat works fine but that upgraded one is much nicer looking and looks like It would hold up better long term
Nice video as always just curious about putting the new map over the old one once it's cleaned up? LOL than the old mat would not be setting around. Take Care
I was expecting to see a lot more dirt under the original mat. I must now assume you have already been under it during one of your cleaning ops? You again, are making a great case for spending money on an upgrade. I have always thought the mat was cheap and flimsy and why? Guess it's a trip to the K dealer this weekend to order my own. The beauty is that it just 'Clicks' in! Ha ha. Great vid and oh yeah a zerk I never knew about! THANKS.
I really like the mat. Glad you do as well. It's an easy, fast and relatively inexpensive mod and that's unusually for me lol. Glad you enjoyed the tips ;)
Mr. Short, I would like to know a few things about where you purchased some of your accessories and Which ones you made. Thank you very much for all of the videos you made I really appreciate it. I looked on your website for some kind of contact information and there is none that I could fine. Thank you again
Happy to hear you've enjoyed our videos. As for our web site. We used to have a lot of our Kubota mods on there along with the latest videos we put out but people took it as an ordering page and would call us to place orders. The truth is we basically take our ideas, design them and build them for our own personal use. We often would share them with the world but cut that out as well now. Yes we've made some things for local tractor owners but nothing more. The inquiries got so plentiful we took down our contact information and we're actually contemplating removing the site itself. Hope this info helps in answering your questions.
Paul Short thank you very much for getting back to me in such a timely manner. I appreciate the honesty about how inundated with requests for your modifications that speaks miles for your work and craftsmanship.
Thanks Tyler. This started out being nothing more than a hobby and time is my personal worst enemy and that's why I haven't marketed any of it. We are looking at purchasing some new CNC equipment in the near future so one never knows ;)
Paul love your mod vidoes they are awesome my friend. Where can I purchase the upgraded mat for my BX25D? I have the 2015 model and would like to know the part number to the upgraded mat? Live in Seattle, WA. Thanks for your help!
I would leave the old mat out and spray the floor with rock chip or spray on box liner. It looks like a place that would get rusty after 10 years or so
Just got my BX and that is exactly what I was planning on doing. My friend's BX has no paint left on the edge from stepping on and off, scraping with mud covered boots. The rust is showing and more paint is bubbling off. I am going to take the entire floor pan off and spray with undercoating. Not sure how I am going to protect the grease nipple though that is in the center of the floor though.
Hey Paul great vids , just got a new bx 25 yesterday , whats the chances of making me up one of those ripper tooths and putting er on the ferry to your friendly neighbor island of Cape Breton
Hey fish. Congrats on the new tractor. Your going to really enjoy that machine. I haven't started building the Claws yet but will in the future. My day job keeps getting in the way lol.
Just out of curiosity, if someone were to go to a shop and have all the mods you have on your 25d done to theirs, what would be a ball park dollar amount for such work?
+Kevin Scurlock I'd say it would at least equal the cost of the unit. When I started doing them everyone said id have a problem coming up with new ideas for the BX and I ended up with over 40 never before seen options. It took a lot of thought but I very much enjoyed it. We may be doing a complete custom layout on a completely new unit. Just waiting on the contract so stay tuned. Thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching.
I'm thinking about buying a bx I have a little over 2 acres and need something to help maintane the property. have you tried digging up a stump with it? just curious bc I have a few that need to be removed
Hey Paul, Love watching all the mods on he BX. I must admit, I've done a few of yours on my own. I was wondering though where you purchased the fenders for the front wheels? Thanks!
Paul Short The old mat is a sheet of rubber that we hear get at a place called C.I.R call California Industrial Rubber comes in a roll and cut to fit. The new one is an injection molding.
New floor mats dont help with the BX25 noise. Curtis cab has you remove a plastic section located behind the screen under the battery. As a suggestion, do not remove that section of plastic. It will act as an insulator to help with the noise within the cab. I've done a side by side test on these when installing them to see if there is a difference in noise. Not a lot but it helps. I work as a Kubota mechanic in case you guys are wondering.

Awesome Job Paul, Puts a whole new look to the tractor
Hey Jamie it worked lol. Thanks for the great service bud. Hope you sell a few of these mats because they are hands down a 200% improvement over the OEM one. Hope. You enjoyed the video. Cheers and have a great day.
Thanks for the follow-up Paul. It sounds like should negotiate a shop manual and the new mats into the deal when ordering my new tractor.
Paul, I really enjoy your videos and keep them coming. I have the Kubota BX 25D and I sure like it.
Joan Hodder Great. Nice to hear. Nice tractor for sure. Thanks for watching.
Love you videos on the BX25D, I have the 2013 model. I will be changing my mat also. Love the look of the new one. Awesome!
The mat is a great upgrade. No mods needed just pull the plastic pins and lay the new mat on. Thanks for watching.
Wow ! That is a really nice looking floor ! Wow ! Just wow
Thanks Matthew.
Watch your videos all the time from Lewisville, TX
That's as cool, as cool can be . Thanks for watching.
You can also take off the existing pad and get some black indoor outdoor carpet, use pad as a templet to make a nice mat - Less jingo -$ Love your channel!!! keep it coming
What I did is spray rock guard on the deck under mat
would it be possible for you to add the links in your videos to where you purchase the upgrades and add ons that you do to your tractors? also love your vids! your truly talented! I just bought a bx2670 and am getting many ideas from your videos!!
Great vid as usual & also the grease nipple access point, what a place to place it in.... Easily forgotten. Also nice tip on the hydraulic leak tip!
Thanks my buddy. Sorry for the slow response. It's gone crazy on this end with the work in the shop. Going to try and post another video in a day or so. Glad you enjoyed this one. Reply when you are able, I can't keep up with my messages either.

Thanks. I think so too. :)
My 2016 came with that mat it's nice!
Good work Mr. Paul!
Thank you :)
Thanks for the tips Paul.

Your kindly welcome Dennis.

Im not sure but it sure is the funny part haha
Did you make the rear view mirror mounts if not what would be a good way to mount mirrors. Love all the other tips.
Those brackets came with the mirrors. They are golf cart mirrors. I think I was the first one to adapt them to the BX tractors. Some come with brackets but some others don't. Thanks for watching.

A real deluxe looking BX now!
Thanks Bob. I was never fussy about the OEM mat. It did the job but I didn't like the look but I was com pairing it to the GL so maybe that's why. Have a great day my friend.

hello Paul nice videos just curious where you got the front fenders and the front ditch light brackets thanks enjoy the shows
They were some items I built for the machine.
Wish it would fit my bota!!!! It would probs help with the sound in Curtis cab
Oh ya it would help with the sound. Get yourself some sound deadening material and put down on your floor. Great stuff.
Nice upgrade..... Thanks for sharing......
Nice video as always just curious about putting the new map over the old one once it's cleaned up? LOL than the old mat would not be setting around. Take Care
+K-9 COOPER
Well I guess you could but I'd have to try and understand why you would lol. Thanks for watching.

Great tips - that rock must be gone by now.
Thanks buddy. Well the rock is half gone. More drilling tomorrow.
Hey Paul great vids , just got a new bx 25 yesterday , whats the chances of making me up one of those ripper tooths and putting er on the ferry to your friendly neighbor island of Cape Breton

Wow. I doidnt know. Everything is prototypes and some took a week or more to develope.
+Paul Short dare I say it would double or almost triple the original price tag? You do excellent work sir.
+Kevin Scurlock
I'd say it would at least equal the cost of the unit. Thanks for sharing Paul. Do you happen know if the 2014 BX2370 mats have been upgraded also? Cheers Bill.
Bill I'm not sure. I'll check it out. I would assume it gas the new updated mat though. Take care.
Bill I looked at a BX3270 today at the dealer and it had the old type mat on it but it looked like the new mat would be a direct fit.
Paul Short The BX25D is the only model so far with the upgraded mat
Hey Paul,
That is a real nice looking mat.
Since I'm in Canada, can I get the part number from you?
Thanks
No problem Brad here's the Canadian Part number is # K277155332-620. Your kindly welcome.
I just bought my BX25D and I feel my Hydraulics r weak. how did u get yours set up on your bucket and stabilizers that high??
Jason thomas
Shim the pump but get a service manual and gauge to do it. If it's not within the specs then shim it.
Sweet Vid!
Thanks!
I'm thinking about buying a bx
I have a little over 2 acres and need something to help maintane the property. have you tried digging up a stump with it? just curious bc I have a few that need to be removed
+Gary Jernigan
I've done many with the BX. It takes time but it's doable.
+Paul Short Ok thanks been watching a lot of your videos on it. thanks for the detail you out into it. How much do they cost in Canada
hi paul wot is the coler numer kubota orange if i can hasel you for it
Looks really slick, love it, do you know the word stock?
Thanks. Oh yes I know the word "Stock" well. I take "Stock" of everything I buy to see how it can be modded lol ;)
Stock is what my mother drives
Surprised you did not make one better and a lot less expensive.
Hey Paul, Love watching all the mods on he BX. I must admit, I've done a few of yours on my own. I was wondering though where you purchased the fenders for the front wheels? Thanks!
Bryan Pepin I think he may have touched on that on one of his earlier videos.
I am now on your Channel thanks so much for telling me
Yep, that mat is a lot better!
Thanks!
Paul Short The old mat is a sheet of rubber that we hear get at a place called C.I.R call California Industrial Rubber comes in a roll and cut to fit. The new one is an injection molding.
Oh yes. There's a Hugh difference in them.

Cool. Thanks for your input. Always nice hearing from those in the business.
Sad.... 10 cents of plastic marked up to $200.00 Canadian. They always nickel and dime you with the little things, don't they?
