Anita, I know you did this two houses and two years ago but I am making it today July 2023. Thank you for teaching us these wonderful and simple Carnivore recipes!
Love looking at videos from your start in you previous home. I thought you had a great kitchen and I lived the stove. I will use this recipe when I make my lamb. Good tip about Easter and shopping for lamb after. Have a great weekend.
Yes I loved that stove as well! Even though I miss the big kitchen and my big yard, downsizing made so much sense financially. And now a young family with kids and big dogs live there and it's perfect for that!
As a Brit, roast lamb is always an option for the Sunday roast. Not cheap these days. I paid £15 (around $20) for 1.5 kl at Aldi. My own thoughts on the timing of your lamb was that it would be considered overcooked in the UK, although I have to say it looked nice and tasty. I usually roast at high temperature for about half an hour and drop the temp and cook for a further hour, letting it stand for 15 or 20 minutes before carving very thinly. This time I will put it in the slow cooker for about three hours and then into the oven for 30 minutes to crisp the top, It should still be a carvable meat rather than a "pulling" dish. Your sauce, aka gravy, is pretty much how I do it, but I thicken with gluten free flour, which is very much like corn starch. Keep up the good work and if ever I'm in your area I'll pop in for lunch. lol
Wowza! That looks so amazing! I’m learning so much about cooking certain meats that I never cooked before from you! But I must say, that a leg of lamb looks weird bcuz it don’t look like a leg to me at all. Could it be the thigh of a lamb?
Is there a reason you need to drain the fat off the broth? I use the broth with butter and xanthan gum for gravy as I'm not doing dairy right now. I wanted to try the grass-fed beef gelatin instead of xanthan gum to see how it would work, but I just haven't done it yet.
I like your gravy recipe, I was wondering if there was a way to add a bit of fat since lamb leg can run lean, and I think the heavy cream in the reduction is just the ticket
@@KetogenicWoman thanks for your reply. I made the lamb leg I had last night, I haven't tried it yet, but I plan on trying it tonight. I didn't much care for how it smelled white cooking, so I will probably just grill it next time.
I'm afraid that garlic and I don't get along anymore. I can tolerate a little garlic powder here and there and that's it. I would definitely throw lots of it in here if you can tolerate it!
You are a lifesaver, Ms. Keto Woman. Thank you!

@@gaillucas9077 Thank you, she sure loved her lamb! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Making tonight Anita! I always go back to your tried and wonderfully true recipes, THANK YOU!
You make everything look so easy! I’m definitely going to try this lamb recipe! Thanks Anita!
More wonderful ideas. Looks delicious. I live alone but lamb shanks are the best. Must try.
They are! And so easy to make!
@@KetogenicWoman is your Mum carnivore too?
Thank you so much, I'm cooking this for my christmas dinner.
Hope you enjoy!

oh boy, I honestly have no idea! The package said leg and maybe that includes the thigh?

No you can keep it if you prefer!
Hi. How did you get three cups of gravy when you started with one cup of broth ? Two cups from the lamb ? Thanks if you reply.
Yes 😊 That is the magic that happens in a crock pot!

Sure just add in any fat you like!
Would there be any differences with a boneless, butterflied lamb leg?
No there shouldn't be!

I am allergic to rosemary. Any other suggestions. I am fine with minimal seasonings also.
Use whatever seasonings you are not allergic to! I rarely use more than salt and white pepper so not sure what to suggest
How did you know I just bought a leg of lamb and needed to know how to cook it? :)
I knew it, lol!
No garlic???
