There are some things that RTB/BTB still does better.. like elevation and variable road panel lengths.. They are also super fast to make a track that can be tested...
Yep, they are a lot faster, but the potential is limited. I kinda see it as riding a bike with stabilizers. The meme track potential is much higher in blender, and in blender you also have a lot more control, you just need to learn how to use it. For example my next racetrack already has so much shit from the community suggested that it would take me years to import al the models into RTB

Man, do it. I myself am a Mazepin driver, but if you have the tools and the people to do it with, it's a blast. AC is often on sale, and a G29 can cost you under $300 if you look hard enough 😁

@@zoomingpast yeah, i ended up looking at your older videos when you comment on that. It might be your polygons are too small for the scatter to work properly. there's a tutorial by kevin mcleod called ''Blender Tutorial How To Reroute, Reduce, Terminate Edge Loops." even the thumbnail should be enough to help you fix those thousand of strips into something more workable and maybe that'll fix your particle/scatter issues.
Nice bowling allee but now add some shape to it like height differences, camber and maybe make the road surface a little convex and/or inclined towards drainage of the rain water. @@zoomingpast Lol... it wasn't intended to be an essay but I just am unable to keep things short. That said I think it is good to envision water flow as well as how you'd follow the shape of for example the Dunes in Zandvoort. Sometimes you guide it through the lower parts between dunes and sometimes you have to go over one. Like the first corner is a hairpin against a dune, then the first banked hairpin corner is in a valley in between dunes, after which it rises up steeply and goes over a dune, snaking down into a valley with a long right hander against a big dune again.... and it goes on like that. The Suzuka esses are the same, it just rides on the tips of small dunes or hillsides... rise and fall slowly going up. The drivers tracks are always interesting because they are always build to flow with the landscape, rather than a track for which the land got redesigned to the track as envisioned. It is something I at least noticed after many comments from drivers of what they liked the most, going back to the days of Senna, Prost and Mansell.
