    I just subscribed to your channel, and I’m addicted. I don’t know what is better, hearing the history behind the drinks or watching you make them. By far one of the best bartending channels on here. With that said, I don’t know if you take requests for drinks and I know you made two times of mojitos, but my fiancée wants me to make her a drink, and I can not find any recipes or anything. Would you be willing to make a lavender blueberry lemonade mojito? That’s a mouthful. I’ve been looking everywhere on google and TH-cam for a recipe as in depth as yours. Unfortunately, I haven’t found one. If you end up seeing this and doing it thank you. If not, keep making this great content!!

    • @AndersErickson
      @AndersErickson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Jeric! Can't say I've tried a lavender blueberry lemonade mojito (that's a mouthful), but I can definitely see all the flavors working together really well. I'd start by making a lavender blueberry syrup - then using lemons instead of limes in the classic mojito recipe. Might have to try this one myself now 🤔

    I realised I had everything to make this cocktail, and I figured I'd give it a shot. I used an Appleton Estate 8 Year Rum, and a local sweet vermouth by Esquimalt Wine Company, your grenadine recipe (best Grenadine I have had), and of course the Ango and Lime. I was surprised by the cola notes, it is sweet and tart, the Appleton kind of gives it a funk and combined with the grenadine a really cherry-like flavour. Really enjoying this one. Keep up the great work Anders!

    A cocktail with the name "Super Cocktail" had to be made, even if done in haste. We didn't have the requisite bottle of booze or citrus, so we did our best with the alternative versions of Bacardi Superior, homemade semi-rich grenadine (with lemon, not pomegranate molasses ), Martini and Rossi sweet vermouth, 100% lime juice in the bottle from the store, and Angostura. It was still incredibly delicious! Thanks for the recipe and the great channel Anders!

    Hey Anders, first off...I want to say thanks for this channel. You single handedly got me interested in figuring out how to make some cocktails and I absolutely love that you include some history of things when you talk about them. It's EXACTLY what I like when I try to get into something new, I mean I just can't say enough positive about you and your channel man.
    OK...the reason I'm here. My wife is from Trinidad so I made your version of the "Queens Park Swizzle" recently (along with a bunch of cocktails I've watched you make) when some of her family was here visiting and got lots of compliments and they really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to giving the "super cocktail" a try! As for the rum you're using here...1919 is absolutely fantastic and a great mixing rum for things like this (or just a rum and coke). If you like different rums though Angostura has two versions of rum in that line that are progressively better quality too. Their "1824" and their "1787" with 1787 being the best of the 3. They're both phenomenal and 1787 is a wonderful straight drink. I'm all out of my 1824 and almost done my 1787 from the last time we got down there to visit sadly but I'm sure you can probably find somewhere to order them if need be.
    They also have a few limited edition rums like a sherry cask edition I want to try at some point and one extremely rare version called "Legacy" but that's like a 30k dollar bottle so unfortunately that will have to remain dream item for me for like.....ever.
    Just thought I'd share in case you didn't know, and keep up the good work! Your content is awesome and very appreciated.

      Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm happy to hear the channel is helping you discover new drinks you can share with others. I do love the 1919 in this drink, but you've got me very curious about some of the others. Especially the Legacy bottle! Angostura makes some great rums, and I'm certainly a fan. Hope you're able to give the Super Cocktail a try and share it with your family. Cheers to you! 🇹🇹

    Hello Anders, I am from Trinidad. I dont know if it was intentional, but today is our national republic day holiday. I made the QPHSC and it's fantastic. Thank you for Trinidadian rum as well. Can't wait for more sips, tips and recipes

    I made this with some el dorado 3 year, it was great. I’ll be excited to try it with something more punchy next time.

    Tried it at home with a different Rhum 'cause i don't have the one you used, i picked an average golden Rhum, turned out really well, it's really good, like you said it's a better version of the Daiquiri wich i love so... there you go!

    Tried this cocktail using 12 yr old RL Seale Rum - Delicious! Then flipped out the rum for bourbon - equally good.

    A E thank you for your vids. My wife had to reel me in. (You’re not a full service bar Sir!) that’s what she told me. But it’s ok when I make your drinks. Lol. We wait all week to make one of your drinks. Thank you sir. Queens Park Hotel is my wife’s favorite.

      Same! I was going to try my barrel aged Manhattans and went with this instead. This is now my “Cocktail of the Year”, supplanting the 12 Mile Limit and Presidente.
      And truth be told, I DID get into the Manhattans afterward. As said above, it’s AND not OR. 😉

    Love this cocktail; thanks for enlightening us. I prefer Appleton Estate Rum in a lot of rum cocktails and this is no exception; but it's great with light rum too. Definitely one of my go-to rum cocktails now :)

    Wow. This was excellent. I didn't have any Trinidadian gold rum, but did a 2:1 blend of Plantation Pineapple and Smith & Cross and it came out wonderfully.
