    The first drink I called my favorite drink was the Boulevardier. A local pizzeria/bar called theirs a Steve McQueen since they used Bulleit bourbon. Since then, I've found myself teaching bartenders how to make it because when I ask for it, they look at me like I'm speaking a different language. I've always appreciated you including this drink into your videos and this was a perfect start to my weekend. I hope a bottle of bourbon is in my Easter Basket. Cheers!

    Love that you’re giving Old Grand Dad some love, Anders! The bourbon craze has been annoying for those of us who use to be able to find whatever brand we wanted when we wanted. The older bonded bourbons still never fail to disappoint and I’ve always thought they work quite well in cocktails.

    My two Maine Coon cats would have a field day with that microphone... haha. There is an episode of Billions where two characters debate making Boulevardiers, and end up making Old Pals, which is more along my line of whiskey, anyway, preferring Rye over Bourbon any day. But your glass for the Boulevardier is truly awesome, where do I find that? Or is it an antique? I like the new angle for the photography, perhaps this could become distracting if Freya becomes frisky?

    There's an excellent riff on the Boulevardier where you swap half the Campari for Creme de Banane. So;
    1 ounce Bourbon
    1 ounce Sweet vermouth
    1/2 ounce Campari
    1/2 ounce Creme de Banane.
    Orange twist (squeeze and drop it in)

    7 months late, but the Boulivardier is without a doubt the winner in this group, in my humble opinion. I don't drink Campari because of the Red40 in it, but there is a lovely red apertivo liquor from Forthave that makes an incredible drink. Try with lemon oil expressed over the top, really opens up the drink in my opinion.

    Horribly good variant for the Boulivardier I use at home because I'm always out of vermouth. I use a nice sweet Port (I prefer Pacheca if you can get it) or local Madeira (just Justinos or Full Rich) in my Boulivardiers. It comes out slightly sweeter and a little more alcoholic, but you can still form a good balance and maybe push that Campari a bit if its intensity doesn't work for you. The latter also adds a bit of raisinyness which is a nice change and goes well with the bourbon/scotch and compari.
    I won't do that in a Negroni (I like the intensity more with Gin), but I have stopped making Boulivardiers with vermouth altogether.
