best performance in a Scottish football shirt EVER!!!!
Angus Young could literally wear anything and pull it off.
Ouch hahahaha
Damn haha
Baxters performance was probably better taking the pish out those english "world beaters"
Better than Scottish football!!!!!!
I will NEVER EVER get tired of AC/DC
My wife looks at me and wonders when will I turn that off! I just look at her and laugh and say “I m 71 years old I will listen to this until the day I die” I still jump around and play air guitar to it! I think that’s what keeps me moving 🤣🤣
Rock on brother! AC/DC will definitely keep you moving, and air guitar is great workout routine 🤣
Absolutely!
I got into AC/DC when I was about 12 and Thunderstruck was released. I bought The Razors Edge, probably the first ever cassette album I bought, and I played that thing over and over, then I found Back in Black, and I thought that was about the peak of AC/DC. A few years ago I had an AC/DC playlist playing in my car and it played a few Bon songs and since then, i find it difficult to listen to Brian era, and I prefer to stick in the early days. They’re all awesome, but Bon just seems like the best frontman in the world.
@@thesausage351 Bro that is beautiful to hear. Both tremendous front men, but I was lucky enough to see Bon 3 times in Scotland in those years culminating with the If You Want Blood tour 1978 I think at the Edinburgh Odeon, and then Highway to Hell in the Glasgow Apollo which was mad. - just a great front man, maybe the best.
@@klc2002 damn man that would have been awesome! I’m working for a guy who grew up in Sydney, in the Botany area and he said he saw them play in the local pubs pretty much every weekend. I assume it was just prior to, or in the very early days of Bon as a frontman. Because I’m also a GnR fan, it was awesome seeing Axl front them, and I found out that his favourite AC/DC songs is one of mine also, a touch too much. I love the way it sounds. One thing ive noticed with AC/DC is all of their songs are about things that are real, and in a way, they tell a story. Their writing is really clever and there is loads of double entendres in their songs. Awesome band.
If you start listening to AC/DC you won't stop doing it ever.
Exactly. I started listening to them in college and I'm hooked! 🤘🏻🎸
Growing up in Aus in the 70s...magic.
40 something years so far!!❤🤟
Por supuesto. Of course
This though. This is the comment.
Privileged to say I was at this concert. This was the encore as they came back out in Scotland strips (Scotland had qualified for 1978 World Cup in Argentina). By far the best band I've seen and fortunate to see them with Bon Scott on 3 occasions in Glasgow. I have also visited Bon Scott graveside and memorial at Freemantle Cemetery in Western Australia. So tough to believe Bon Scott passed away less than a year after this gig. Cherished memories.
Lucky for you I wish I was there. I was never lucky enough to see Bon Scott but I did see them several times in the '80s and '90s
Australian my arse you can't be that mental and not be a Scotsman great stuff .
Ah mate, I'm in Edinburgh, seen them quite a few times, but the Apollo gigs were outstanding, bouncing balcony! Queuing with loads of Angus look-alikes to get in!
Mr McDougall . . . In my days as Pipeline Welder at Clyde and Noble Riggs , I worked a lot with a PipeFitter called Andy McDougall. We became personal friends througout the Years and He settled here in Holland ...We lost touch Years ago . Your name brings Me back in time .... Andy was from Aberdeen
Hell bon was born in Scotland!
If you are watching this video it means that you are a true fan of this great rock band. I just want to tell you that you are a person with a lovely musical taste and you are in danger of extinction. Never stop being a rocker⚡ hahah
natti Z Right back at u
CHEERS!
Saw them for the first time in 1978 in Amsterdam Now I'm 61 years of age but it is still my favourite band Rock 'n Roll ain't noise pollution
Always!!
100000 thumbs up for you, man!!
Bons voice live is pure fucking rock n roll
+David Heaton like Lemmy's both true rock and rollin men
David Heaton too right his range is a Rocket Rollen Man go Angus 👍
F*cking
This whole song is pure R&R!
Mannn these guys were cookin.
Lol Angus got Bon hyped. Soon as Angus dug in Bon knew it was go time and done away with the mic stand haha.
This is the best version of AC⚡DC. Brian is great but Bon was incomparable.
Agree Completely!!
Never could be a better person to take over after Bon then Brian.
Bon is Bon Jovi dad
Bon was unbelievable and very lovely ❤
Scotlands biggest and best band 👍🏻🏴
Australian band. Scottish members.

cliff williams is hammering the shit out that bass guitar
Amazing bass playing here
I was knackered just watching him!! Whit a show!!
Malcolm, Cliff and Phil greatest rhythm section ever.
I did put this movie into The Warnings covervideo of BiB as a suggestion for them to look at :))))
@@arnehenrybjune It sounds great, and def is what the song needs, but all he's doing is hammering 1 note / down stroking. Kind of like a rhythm guitarist. But like I said...that's all the song needs.

0:59 the definition of AC/DC. Malcolm in the back in full Scottish football attire smoking and rocking a Scottish folk song.
It’s…not a Scottish folk song, though?
Edit: nvm, The Bonny Banks o’Loch Lomond.
@@catlikemeewYes, which is Scottish
Love the way Cliff's bass comes roaring in with those straight 8th notes! Blood pumper!!✊
Exactly, his doing some figures
He would’ve been a great Bassist for Ramones, he goes as hard as Dee Dee and CJ
@@musicfan1086 NO ONE plays as hard and consistent as Cliff, ever
this is where i would go if i had the Delorean from Back to the future!
Same, I would go back in time just to be at this show and any other ac DC show from the 70s, rock on forever Angus. RIP Bon and Malcolm, thanks for the excellent music you guys brought us these past couple decades
WILLIAM WISEMAN would ya land right on stage and jump out and ask for an autograph? I would! Lol!
Definitely , I'd beg you to take me . I'd jump in the DeLorean , & jump out to the front stage'!! If only - 🔊🎸🎸🎸🎸👅
WILLIAM WISEMAN oh hell yes
Bon! I wanna be your “Little Lover”.
This was filmed at Glasgow Apollo on 30th April 1978, when the live album "If you want blood you got it" was recorded. I saw them the next night in Middlesbrough, then again 4 days later in Newcastle. Great days.
Problem is some off the footage from that live concert doesn't fit the Apollo. But it is still the best live footage iv ever seen from any band.
glasgow appollo stage was 15ft 6in high .must be some where else
@@MyAcdc12 I was there. This is the Glasgow Appolo. I know that venue like the back of my hand, and i clearly remember Angus in the box just up and to the right of us. I saw ac/dc, Thin Lizzy, Jethro Tull, Leonard Cohen, Supertramp, Elvis Costello, Ian Dury and many more in the Apollo around then. Here's a bit of trivia for you. The Angus chant at the start of Rosie was started that night, and i was one of the fuckers that got into it. Check it out on If you want blood. there is a bit of confusion to start with. Some folk chanting Angus too fast, but it settles into it. This was one if the best gigs i ever saw in the Apollo.
@@bobscott7248 Bollocks, the apollo stage was nothing like that heighr. The first ten rows would've been looking at the ceiling, and the first 15 widnae see the drummer.
As i said, I was in the Apollo 15 times or more. And i was there that night!!
@@strexus just checked GLASGOW APOLLO on wikipedia have a look defo says 15ft 6
This is why I love AC/DC so much, they’re just pure rock n roll plain and simple
Bon Scott was the best AC⚡️DC singer ever, Uncle Mal riffs are killer and Angus is unbeatable! Who’s still Rockin this song in 2020
I was loving this at 8, 51 now, and I still haven't heard a better song!
2020? NOT ME that's for sure.
2022 still rockin and rollin to this! (Y)
Me
Most definitely the the best singer for AC/DC
People tend to forget that the Youngs and Bon Scott are Scottish; so great to see them back on native soil, showing how much it meant to them. Still the greatest rock band ever.
BORN IN SCOTLAND. RAISED IN AUSTRALIA.
Gatpig So Scottish then
Gatpig... AC/DC... born in Australia, raised in Australia
andrewj44 Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley both lived in London......I take it that means they are both British then? 🤔
Spoof Boogie Woof Woof ... I'm talking about the band as a unit and where the band's roots are. All good.
Whoever posted this and the other numbers from that iconic Apollo gig should be knighted

AGREED ⚡⚡
Arise, Sir Poster!
1:18 - man, Malcolm is beatin' that Gretsch like it ows him money. What a great rhythm man he was!
Begins at 4:04 is when Malcolm REALLY brings out the ‘63 Gretsch in that Gretsch… then he goes into that rockabilly style rhythm… it’s too much!!! I remember watching this on shrooms one time, and it was fucking epic
It's my 63rd birthday today, I'm a bit drunk and I'm listening to this load of beautiful noise.
No one will ever out rock and roll ACDC, I'm in fecking heaven.
saw them twice in the 70's, my ears are still ringing to this day.
Bought my Sonor drum kit because Phil played one, still got it now, although I don't play any longer.
Big smiling face is me.......
Best crunchy raw sound ever produced live
One of the only bands that put out live albums that sound kick ass!
The only band that makes better live music than in the studio. Performance is incredible. No autotune or other bs, pure talent
Only bon Scott can sing this song
It's his song😅
Your watching one of if not the greatest rock and roll bands in their prime
I seen em on the black ice tour. They were in their prime then.....
This was the prime in the early days, and 1980/1981 was their prime in the Brian Johnson era, and Black Ice was their prime in the modern era.
That’s so awesome! Was born in 1979.. i would give my kidney to be there
THE greatest band that is, ever was and ever will be. End of statement.
People call me crazy when I say that. NOTHING CAN EVER COMPARE TO THIS ACDC!!
@@Ididdledyourwife The power and energy behind their performances is on a level no one will touch, ever.
Carl Gustav it's a chilling experience. And I've only heard the original ac dc on video. My father was lucky enough to see them live and he always says bons the greatest front man
@@Ididdledyourwife I saw them '90 in Toronto Razors edge tour. Mind blown!
Carl Gustav and I couldn't of asked for better with Brian having to somehow fill bons big shoes but he sure did and did a hell of a job.
The sheer power of this band. You will never see anything like it again!
Respect for the little guy on guitar, spirit of rock and roll.
All hail Angus
Phil didn't miss a beat keep perfect fucking timing through all that .
The next beat he misses will be the first!
This is by far one of AC/DC’s best performances, Angus Young is a beast on guitar and Bon Scott you will be forever missed and known as one of the best frontmen in history.
This could well be the best live performance of any song by any band ever.
Agree!!!!!!!
Yes it is
The golden years of AC /DC without question for me.
Bad boy boogie live is one of the best too🤟🏼
They had a lot better live performances.
With the shirt of Scotland...Unforgettable...AC/DC is the champion of the rock.
Turned 60 last April and im dancin all round the lounge room whilst playing Air Guitar, and its almost the end of 2020, thankyou AC/DC for all the yrs you have rocked my world
He wasn’t kidding I started listening to Acdc in 2020 and I’m literally addicted to them at this point I can’t stop listening to them and I can’t stop playing the guitar because of them
First time I heard them as a kid was tnt on tony hawks pro skater 4 , I was hooked. if my dad didn’t hear me listening to them and introduce me to high voltage don’t think I would’ve ever looked at them the same. This band will forever move me in a way no other band will.
Bienvenido, al club de los que escuchamos una de las mejores bandas de todos los tiempos
You've got a very enjoyable life ahead of you listening to nothing but AC/DC. Welcome...
When BON sings Rock'nRoll, he is totally Rock'nRoll.
AC/DC is just too powerful they can make their guitars sound like a bag pipe
bon scott AC DC forever
Bon Scott grew up in Australia, applied to join the Australian Army, had an Australian accent and nobody outside Australia would know about him if he hadn't busted his balls for many years in several Aussie bands trying to make it big. Likewise the Youngs grew up in Australia and as Angus said in an interview with Tara Brown in 2009, ac/dc had that raw aussie sound, they couldn't have come from anywhere else, and who else but Aussies would have them. Personally I only like their first 6 albums before Bon died, all of which are aussie albums.
Ron Scott XD
@@ivanleg Bon along with the Young brothers are not from the " Land down Under ". They were heavily influenced by fellow Scottish rockers The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. They even took their name AC/DC from a Singer sewing machine made in the Young's hometown of Glasgow. As for Aussie rock, you can keep your vegemite sandwich.
Scotland Forever
1:18 - Malcolm Young absolutely crushing that intro. He went through multiple picks a night. I'm fairly sure this song would ground one to dust.
That’s the secret to their sound
I've listened to a lot of rock n roll in my nearly 50 years, but I've never heard anything like that before! It was like AC/DC just reinvented rock n roll back in 1978.
10 Years After at Woodstock kind of sounds like this.
Perfect! Well said, this is something never again
The energy in this song is crazy it makes every hair in your body stand on end
AND THAT BOYS AND GIRLS IS WHAT WE CALL ROCK N ROLL.
O. Yeah '!!
Amen 😎😎
Yes , it's their revved up tribute to Chuck Berry , Jerry Lee Lewis and the rest of the early rockers
I never knew this was filmed. My God, this was a legendary concert! All the talk around the town was of the band dressing in Scotland tops and kicking out footballs into the crowd. Never thought I'd see it.
aye n a wiz there wit a nite

So great to see them in those 70s Scottish football kits. Their awesome coolness is raised to even more heightened levels!
One time i had a dream that I was at an ac/dc concert and they were playing this song. And i could see it perfectly, i could see Angus and Bon right up at the front of the stage, it was at a huge stadium and Angus and Bon ran right past me and i got to touch Angus' guitar. It was the greatest dream that i will ever have.
the greatest rock live footage on youtube.
Love the wee bit of Scottish music hinting at their heritage !!!
It's not their heritage, they were all born in Scotland. Bon Scott didn't move to Australia until he was 12 years old.
That's not heritage! It's nationality!

There will never ever be a guitarist
like Angus Young , never !
Bon & Angus showing they are proud SCOTS & not Adopted Aussies.

Simply the best front man ever.
When Malcom kicks in at 1:28 shows just how important his jet propulsion bass lines made this band invincible.
Malcolm didn't play bass...
@@superg8018 Cliff Williams did
Not my favorite acdc song, but Angus is really on fire here! One of his best soloing performances I’ve heard. Nothing wrong with the rest of the gang either. These guys were amazing!
@Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow 1977 Impossible to name just one song, so many great ones from the very very early to Mists of time! I even enjoyed this performance a lot, even though the song is 'just' a 12-bar blues - a rarity for acdc, a staple for many other bands!
Since you asked, these days I seem to have a special liking for the more groovy or 'moody' ones: gone shootin, ride on, ..., but depends on the mood, naturally; like for so many others, You shook me... was my 1st favorite, years ago. One example from Brian's era that's imho maybe a bit underrated (and not often played live) is Let me put my love..., I dont think anyone could deliver it better!
I was in high school in France in december 1979 when I went to see them live, my first ever concert. Me and my friends were huge fans. They opened in total darkness with "Live Wire", when the drums, bass and lights came in, it was total excitement, I remember it to this day, what a concert...Sadly, 2 months later, Bon Scott was dead.
LiveWire une Tuerie :)
Hope the world will enjoy this forever
