I have bough a slew of ex rentals and for the most part they've proven to be reliable vehicles. Not every person who rents a car beats the snot out of them.

The manual mode on these cars isn't for sport shifting. Its more of a gear limiter for holding the gears for uphill or towing. It actually says it in the owners manual. If you put it in 5, it will act like a 5spd transmission. If you put it in 4, it will act like a 4spd transmission. So it will still accelerate and downshift like normal.
This is why people are dumb now. There is no reason EVER in a daily drive setting to do anything other than go in park to reverse or drive. If you use m you suck
I know a lot of people say they are slow but I gapped my friends 1999 v8 silverado, 2008 tacoma, 2013 frontier. It's pretty zippy for only having 182 hp. I will say the 4cyl does tend to struggle in hilly areas but i live in the city so it isn't really an issue. Over all it's a pretty good car. I've had mine for 4 years and have driven it harder then that.
The Tacoma and the frontier are both quicker than your car without a doubt. Your car 0-60 is 9.3 seconds Tacoma is 7.1 Frontier is 7.2 Yours also might be the v6 so yea

I think there is an acceleration limiter. My mom had one of these back in 2013 and it was decent acceleration, and I drove one a few months ago as a rental and it was painful.
I just got a 15 with 72k miles yesterday. Seems like a good car. I have 2 other cars to speed around in tho. BUT I test drove a 13 with 78k miles and it was weak for some reason. The 15 at 3/4 throttle was quicker than the 13 floored. Both were 2.4L awd. Don't know what was up with the 13. Only test drove the 15 to compare and found out the 13 didn't feel the same.
My 2007 v6 has the same HP as the 2017 4 cylinder..lol..I own both and both seem to be about the same to me..using the 07 for work and the dogs and gun range..2017 for going out and trips..
The N.C.C I’m glad you had good luck with yours. Mine had 2 transmission, a set of head gaskets, and a new motor all before 100,000 miles. My last Chevy that I had got to 304,000 miles. It was a very good car, I loved it very much. Although this car has not been good for me. My neighbor has the same car as me and has had even more problems, and she’s a little old lady that only drives to the store. Her car has 60,000 miles on it. My son bought a new car when he graduated college. A 2016 cruze, and that thing has been just as bad as my equinox. I’m very displeased.

I was very worried because I started a new job and I would probably put 2-3 times the miles that I usually do. I thought the escape was gonna be an awful car, but the deal was very good and came with a 100,000 mile warranty. I’ve put 98,000 miles on my car in one year. My 2016 has 136,000 miles and I still love it! Really surprised me.
My 15 awd is fine. Its a comfortable ride and only a little road noise. I don't know if it matters which trim level but I have a 2LT with 73k miles. Just got it last month.
I rented this same version, 2.4 AWD, and all I can say it is slow as hell, to pass other cars take like one hour, this engine is not right for the size of this vehicle (even when it is just a mid size SUV), and the fuel economy was nothing impressive though, 9.5LT/100 for 600km just highway trip.
This is why I laugh at the idea Elon Musk has that people can rent out their $60k Teslas and make money. First off, if you have to rent out your car for extra money, you shouldn’t be owning a Tesla. Second, what kind of person with their right mind would allow random strangers to drive their $60k investment? So they can drive it like this? Test the 0-60 in 2.9 seconds on a car thats not theirs?
