Yeah when I was a kid there were no barriers to swimming in the deep end. The way the pool is set up here no one can swim laps? There should be at least one lane for serious swimmers.

NYC does nothing for its citizens. I went today to ASTORIA PARK Pool, and after 1.5 hrs waiting to get in, I was not allowed to swim. Swimming lines closed, middle section open for urination only. Reluctant, disrespectful, rude people are working there. Instead of opening pool at 4:00 pm they opened at 4:45 pm. Mayor Adamas just spent our $19 Milions for nothing. SHAME ON NYC!!!! Astoria Park Pool should as least notify citizens that there are NO SWIMMING at the pool. DISGRACED!!!!! Workers at the Astoria pool are disgraced.
