Not to be insensitive but swimming in the ocean after lifeguards have left for the day is just natural selection at work.

NYC does nothing for its citizens. I went today to ASTORIA PARK Pool, and after 1.5 hrs waiting to get in, I was not allowed to swim. Swimming lines closed, middle section open for urination only. Reluctant, disrespectful, rude people are working there. Instead of opening pool at 4:00 pm they opened at 4:45 pm. Mayor Adamas just spent our $19 Milions for nothing. SHAME ON NYC!!!! Astoria Park Pool should as least notify citizens that there are NO SWIMMING at the pool. DISGRACED!!!!! Workers at the Astoria pool are disgraced.

I hear they are going to outlaw drowning.

People should learn how to swim in the ocean as a part of public schooling, it is important to learn how not to drown. It's not that difficult. You should see the hostile waves that swallowed me whole in los angeles but i somehow made it out even though accidentally getting water forced up my nose

Oh dear me... I wring my hands, furrow my eyebrows and clutch my pearls as my tormented mind, in perpetual turmoil, prevents me from living my best life, having agency and walking in my truth as I bend the arc of the moral universe to social justice by boldly taking a seat at the table. Life is so unfair and systemically oppressive; that's simply terrifying because my traumas have become indelible in the hippocampus. It shouldn't be that way! Please feel free to reach out. Remember this, my dear ones of love, kindness and light: I think about you, all of the time, especially when I'm at that hidden gem, where the food is simply to-die-for! You're so deserving of free stuff, because you're so authentic, stigmatized and empowered! Love you!
