    $1 billion dollars for the tunnel and $5 billion dollars stuffed in crooks pockets

    Largest infrastructure project in US history! LOL.
    Building two tunnels a few miles long!
    Not the interstate system. Not something like Hoover dam.
    Two tunnels under the Hudson river! It's the largest ever and we got almost 7 billion dollars to do it! And of course the total cost will almost surely end up being at least 1.5 times that amount.

      It is still extremely important. The current Hudson tunnels have operated for a century without significant maintenance and must be overhauled if the NE corridor is to keep operating. Failing this would be disastrous for the NY, NJ and national economies. This project will allow for maintenance overhauls on both sets of tunnels to occur and for extra passenger and freight services (which I'm sure commuters and truckers on the Washington bridge and in the Lincoln tunnel can relate to).

    Did y’all know that it took 7 Years to Build the Original North River Tunnels now it will take 12 - 14 Years To Build the New Tunnels & Rehabilitate the Old tunnels. But then the DOT decides to Expand the Holland Tunnel instead take that money to fund the Gateway Project.

    Is this for cars, trains, or both? And why is it so damn expensive? You can walk the width of the Hudson from NY to NJ in 5 minutes!!

    • @albundy06
      @albundy06 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's trains.
      It's NY/ NJ and the government in action. That's why it's so expensive.

      Because Democrats bribing their unions army to Vote for Democrats! Sopranos version 3.0. 😂That's why it's so expensive that a Brit they hired to fix our Subways just quit unable to deal with Democratic Unions. That's how New York remaining Democrats only and Unions elected Hochul and Adams get to stay and do not do much every day for years redistributing the Budget to friends and Family!
