cool, I have a spot at the distillery district starting end of June for the summer. BTW, your advice from awhile back on epoxy for fretless was great, mine turned out really nice.
Will do , I am looking at a squier vm..maple fretboard and pearl block inlays. I think it will look pretty cool with that neck. If it works out I will display it/sell it at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibit in July.
No problem. The compression helps alot i think, more mids are pronounced. On the CS-3 ive got the level at about 3 o'clock, tone 12 o'clock, attack all the way up, sustain at about 1 o'clock. The VT bass pedal is also something that i havent stopped using. i keep it on all the time now.
no i havent. ive heard its better. i dont totally dig the cs-3, kind of a tone killer. im really interested in the mxr bass compressor, it sounds awesome. but the cs-2 is a ross compressor clone with an added attack knob, but it may be just as hard to find one of those lol
one of my favorite bass videos back then. still one today
excellent buddy. always liked your style.
That's awesome!!!
thanks man, i dig your paintings. very trippy stuff.

thanks man, I am going to pick up a another jazz soon and paint it the same way.
also, the VT Bass by Tech 21 is the pedal im referring to. Its basically an SVT/B-15 modeled preamp.
that would be very cool. keep me posted on that, id like to see the result!
I'm gonna put up a vid of my pedal board soon. Waiting on a few extra goodies.

a song you wanna hear played or something
did you use an interface then? i'm curious because i'm looking for something to record with, like how you did here. its sounds really good.
haha, i dig. you get a request.
lets have a pedalboard duel. or perhaps we can build a deathstar with them?
Hey Vince, sick tune you got there! Do you know whether those are the pedals that Juan also use for these Regions/Regions-like songs?
Juan probably used a Boss CS-2 Compressor and a Boss VB-2 Vibrato
The bass tone of this band reminds me of fretless. I thought of Mick Karn.
This is fretless, and Juan Alderete has claimed that the group Dali’s Car (Karn on bass) is the first inspiration for Big Sir.
hmm, its a cool tune, ill have to think on that
vt bass pedal? also, have you ever used the CS-2?
are you playing out of an amp or are you using a program?
nope, straight into garageband via the soundcard.
Ah man, I don't know. Jazz up "feels like we only go backwards" by tame impala
elixir 45-105
is this your warmoth?
boss cs-3 > VT Bass > Computer
Thanks, but I can't get into death metal
no.
