I think 72 MPH is too fast for it to get its most effective MPG. Cause at 72 MPH the rev meter was above 2000 RPM, for a 8 gear transmission thats poor. Maybe the gears are designed for another task. from my experience automakers use the last gears as an overdrive gear.
I think the purpose of this video was to demonstrate "realistic" mpg. Most people on highway drive >70 mph so despite the inefficiency people will do this. I mean for any car the most optimal speed is somewhere between 45 and 60 but nobody drives at that speed
@@DailyMotor From the trip computer: 94 miles and 1h:23min:35 seconds. And it would be cool to see the ACTUAL average speed in every test because your mobile phone GPS app has this info.
Ah, but see that factors in waiting at stop lights and pulling to/from the gas pump. I try to report on avg speed from the GPS app as we're getting off the highway, as that's mostly a moving average. I'll try to show that info, at least at the end of the time lapse
@@DailyMotor Even 2 miles before, you still were driving with 72mph on the highway and the trip computer was: 92 miles and 1h:21min:45sec. So this is also 67.5mph average. When you leave the highway you could show your actual average. It would be ok ))
@@Eugen-E The vehicle's trip computer is low by about 1.7 miles at the end, so really closer to 68.5 mph average. Not a huge difference from 70, especially when you consider that it took two minutes on the trip computer to get onto the highway, but pedantically, yes I suppose the car would have done marginally worse at a true 70 mph average. Still not outside of a reasonable margin of error in by eyes.
Would love to see a comparison between this and the bronco sport
Could u review the 2023 glc? Looking forward to it
How are the headlights at night???
What app do you use for the GPS?
42k for a Jeep Compass 🤣🤣😭👎🏿🤪☠️

It’s actually a decent vehicle. But it’s overpriced in my opinion. I’d kick in just a few more bucks for a much better vehicle.
Overpriced

Your average speed was 67.5mph not 70. I think if you had done 70 the mpg would have been even lower.
How do you figure 67.5?
