Everything spells beautiful in respect of this multi talented super star opera suprano/actress. Her beautiful voice worshipped by millions of her followers throughout the world. When she sings You & The Waltz & I you can feel the look of admiration by the pianist Carl Esmond. Rest in peace dear Miss Kathryn Grayson your musical talents will be with us forever & a day.

Simply put, the most beautiful soprano ever produced from Hollywood! The voice of an angel and the face of a goddess!
the two very best MGM sopranos.. Kathryn Grayson and Jane Powell !! This is the first I've ever heard this (I've been a fan of Ms Grayson's since I was 15, I'm now 51) and this is now nearing the top of the my list of all-time favorites from her vast recordings! what a sound, clear, pure, full of that charm she was so famous for all her life, even when she taught... how lucky her voice pupils must have been !

There are a couple of comments from kerryincolumbus that completely nails it on the head how fabulous this woman's singing really was (and still is because she lives-on in recordings and film)! Thank you kerryincolumbus for putting those words here for all to see, and for saying what I'm sure all of Ms Grayson's fans would say if they were here right now!

Beautiful,, just beautiful. I can't tell you how many times I've played her videos and the joy I've gotten from her angelic voice. A multi faceted talent as well. I only wish I could have seen her perform in person. Thank you for posting this beautiful artist, I've become so intrigued by her voice that I can almost feel as though I'm right there in the audience..of course that wouldn't be possible as I wasn't even born when she made this movie...

I agree Norman!! I watched this video 10 times in a row now, and I'm in tears because it's just unbelievably beautiful singing, especially that ending note! It's clearly a voice from Heaven, to be sure!

I'm sorry not to be more familiar with much of his work. This, and his appearance in Sundown, are my only memories of this performer. Perhaps you'll be kind enough to elaborate on your reference of the 1936 Burg Theater in another response? Either way, best regards, and thank you for your comment!

Similar atrocities will always take place, mostly because the world, especially those who wish to stop the atrocities, never truly learns the lessons from the previous ones. Those who wish to commit said atrocities always pay very close attention...
Every single coloratura student should study this video and try with all their might to make their voices as absolutely pure and innocent as Kathryn Grayson does here, with what sounds like total ease and agility! Just pure Heaven that last note of hers, light as air and so pure of tone, makes me cry each and every time i listen to it.

Burg theater is a 1936 Austrian film, Esmond uses his girl friend and a countess to get in to the stage in Vienna.Since he has a small face, a little make up was put on him to make his eyes look bigger. But it looks too silly.It's available in united states and Germany
