He has over £12m, his father has a few £100m & was granny was a billionaire X+ over. We the peasants get loans, mortgages or borrow of rich parents or do it up but by bit. I've lost all respect for the Windsors, Harry said he was going to pay it all back but changed his mind & negotiate to pay some back, this was too stop a precedent being set of paying for private ventures & not getting the State to fork out & to keep the Royal prerogative that has been there for centuries ie their Royal bodies are different from ours & their demands goes back to Charles II & they still hold power despite a peoples parliament. *In England, the Scots, Irish, and Geordies from Newcastle often get asked "Where are you from?" The person who should resign is Ms. Fulani, This woman's comments have caused outrage throughout the UK, and I ask the Charity Commissioners to question her fitness as a Charity Head. She turned up for this meeting dressed in a Rastafarian manner, causing other attendees to naturally wonder "Who she was? Lady Hussey deserves a public apology from her.*

    • @jgw5491
      @jgw5491 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I think the problem with the situation was not that Lady Hussey asked the question, as you say it is a usual question, but that she didn't respect Ms. Fulani's answer and doubled down by demanding what she thought was a *real* answer. Ms. Fulani told her exactly where she was from.
      Any polite person would have left it at that. They would read the room. Ms. Fulani didn't berate her for asking at the time; Lady Hussey berated Ms. Fulani for not following the conversation in the direction that Lady Hussey wanted. smh

    • @dansmith2412
      @dansmith2412 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@jgw5491 asking her where she was really from or her people (family) was her way of trying to get to the bottom of what is her heritage. I can agree that she could have just asked that but it’s obvious what she wanted to know. It seems to me that Ngozo was intentionally obstructive and knew exactly what Lady H was getting at. She could of said, I’m British but my heritage is etc etc but instead made rude remarks about records not being kept and was intentionally abstruse. She turned up at that event using an African name dressed the way she was with bones around her neck and that would have made her interesting to others, in my view hoping to get the questions she was asked, I.e. looking for attention. She complained about being touched but is pictured with her hand on another woman’s shoulder. She said she spent the rest of the night in the corner traumatised which we now know is not true. If you really want to address what you perceive to have been a racist incident why not raise it instead of going to the media. She’s been on twitter hating on the royal family prior to this event, she said Meghan was a survivor of domestic abuse perpetrated by the royal family. Then she went and spent time with these so called perpetrators. Is it normal for her to support woman through domestic abuse and then go to cocktail parties with their perpetrators? No, in her position it’s inappropriate. The whole thing stinks in my opinion and I think the real victim here is an 85 year old woman who served the queen for 60 years across the commonwealth. She would have met people of all backgrounds. And Ngozo doesn’t seem interested in meeting the king and queen to address this incident. Speaks volumes.

Windsor was where the Princesses Elizabeth and Margret were evacuated to during the war, and before that they lived in a private home in Piccadilly and then Buckingham Palace. So Windsor became The Queen's favourite residence, as she felt safe there.

    Interesting. Although some information wasn't totally accurate. You missed one-
    20. The Cenotaph. No one is allowed to lay wreaths without permission from the crown. In 2018, the Germans were given permission to lay a wreath, after herself, to celebrate the ending of the great war of 1914 - 1918. The only country not in the commonwealth whom lay wreaths is the Republic of Ireland. They lay on behalf of the former Irish regiments & Calvary.
    In July the Belgium armed forces lay wreaths there. This tradition dates back to HIM King George V.

    Wrong. In the channel islands (Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Herm, and Sark) the ruling monarch is known as the Duke of Normandy after William the first who invaded in 1066. The title for the Isle of Man is Lord of Mann. A lot of the money from the duchy of lancaster goes into government coffers and only a portion of that is released as the sovereign grant (formerly the civil list), to pay for running expenses and state banquets etc. A portion of this goes to the expenses of the working royals. A lot of the castles are still technically owned by the monarch of the day in right of the crown, but operate as a uninhabited tourist attration, these are called Historic Royal Palaces. They may have some grace and favour apartments or some soldiers or ex soldiers barracked there but these include, The Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, no royal has lived in the Toeer of London for hundreds of years now. as are the jewels, crowns, seabed, swans on certain reaches of the river thames, the crown estate which has a fair bit of land is also administered by the government of the day and a portion of thr monies earned goes to the sovereign grant as well like the duchy of lancaster, hence there is a position in goverment called minister without portfolio and chancellor of the duchy of lancaster who oversees the delivery of funds to the UK government.

      What belongs to Queen Elizabeth is her own private property and her own private jewellery and her own private belongings. These properties are hundreds of years old and have a history, so we know. Example, Sandrigham was bought in 1862 for the then Prince of Wales, as a country house. It then passed to his heir, George V, it then passed to his heir Edward VIII, then on his abdication bought by his brother George VI, then passed to his heir Queen Elizabeth II, and now to her heir King Charles III. One day it will pass to William, Prince of Wales, and then to his son Prince George of Cambridge, and one day to the heir of Prince George. The same with the other private properties and belongings. The Crown is what belongs to the people and everything is registered. We are not on selling things, so it just stays as it mostly.

      I think you comment is very unfair and desrespectable. It was the Palace who wouldn't have allowed King Charles to marry Camilla if she had wished at the time. She would not have passed the criteria to be elegible. When a marriage breaks down, generally, it is not the responsability of one of the parts. Princess Diana had her fair share of responsability on the process - having been caused by her or a consequence of what she suffered from others -. Who cheated first, Charles or Diana? Who cheates the most? Why offend Camilla just for the pleasure of offending someone? She didn't break any home, have you thought for a second on the state of that marriage? Do you understand that Princess Diana met Prince Charles 13 times before marrying him? I think that if people want to write books they shoud focus on themselves, their marriages and their families. Who can throw a stone? People have the gall! Criticizing others for what very likely they can be criticized. Which husband and which wife doesn't sleep around?

    About those crown jewels. Neither Elizabeth nor Britain owned the Austrian crown jewels (shown in this video as part of #9). Again! You are showing the Savoy Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany, not London. The Channel Islands owe allegiance to the monarch, not as King or Queen, but as Duke of Normandy. In part 19, that's James VI, not James IV.

    Since Elizabeth II died, there has been much publicity, not so much thought about why she matters, and why monarchy is helpful in general. Monarchy shouldn't be used as real-life soap opera, nor as mere material to fill space in the media.
    The achievement of the British monarchy should become clear in comparison with the histories of other countries. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, and which opposes illegal dictatorship. If there are many reasons England, Wales, Scotland, Canada and Australia have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy to unify all the people is an important reason. In the UK, 'peace' in formal speech is "The King's Peace".
    Of course King Charles III's first marriage was a tragic mistake; Prince Philip could be tactless. Whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the unity the monarchy gives in the UK & the world. The sea around it didn't protect the U.S.A. against civil war in the 1860s, and the UK could have suffered civil war over slavery in the 19th century; likewise over world war, loss of empire, economic failure, or race in the 20th. There will always be violence and political problems in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the British monarchy and the stability it brings Britain, the commonwealth (e.g. Canada & Australia). By stabilizing Britain & the commonwealth, it promotes peace in the world. Since the 1700s, billions of people have lived under the British crown without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives. God save King Charles III, and his successors.
