Good morning. Great videos. I fish down here in TX(Galveston, Texas City), and I just got an Ultegra 3000, and love it going to buy the 4k next. Will be pairing the 4k with a Falcon Coastal Clearwater 7'4" SWS-74mh. This rod is rated 1/4-3/4 oz, but it easily throws 1oz. If you haven't tried one yet, i highly recommend it. I use it for tossing mostly 3/4oz Kastmasters, and popping corks. Have a great day
I have older C3000 HG FB version for 5.5 years, works smooth as butter from the first day. I have upgraded it with 3 bearings, 2 in knob and one in wormshaft, bud didnt notice any difference in work. Lube it once in year, and it will serve you for a lifetime.
Good info! May have to try one. I went to Tex Tackle and got a Nasci 2500 about 3 years ago, still a great reel. But, the next season I went it there and told Tex I wanted a better setup, he put a Stradic on a rod and handed it to me, felt perfect. So far, that Stadic is my favorite inshore setup.
Awesome Spanish, great fishing overall. The Ultegra is a truly a sleeper reel. I use the 5000XG in the surf all the time with no issues and just routine maintenance.
With regards to the Nasci drag sound working and not working. Had the same issue with mine. Did some digging and found that they have installed the clicker (the little metal triangle) upside down. I flipped it around and the drag was 100%. Hasn't given any issues since.
Shimano is toppingbout diawa in spinning gear $ for $. The casti g reels come to preference but i prefer magforce z braking. They're both great companies.
ok.. i actually ordered it when you said stop here and just order it.. sigh .. i am such an easy mark :) jk.. gonna be upgrading all my reels.. they are 5+ years old and all diawa bgs ..
I hate to ask that I've been struggling shorefishing. Can you give me a good spot in Wilmington, North Carolina that I can go to? It doesn't have a lot of people or Columbia North Carolina please😢
I have 2 Ultegra 3000s and your review is spot on the drag is so smooth and the tolerances are tight 👍👍
I should have studied your garage wall a little better. Haha.

Thanks so much for the advice for both myself and others who will read this comment. Tight lines!
Just ordered 2. with free shipping! Thank you for an honest review!
Enjoy them buddy. I know you will.
Enjoyed the whole video!! Might have to try an Ultegra myself!!👊🏼
Thanks for watching brotha. I do think it’s the Best Buy for your money.
Loved the vid, is yours a 4000 if so what rod weight and length would you recommend for that size
I am fishing a 7' medium heavy star rod, 8-17 lb test rating. Thank you for watching!

I’m still fishing this one and it’s flawless. I’m glad to hear that yours is going well too.
I’ve caught a 42 lb Spanish mackerel in Kalbarri Australia
Bleed them straight away and put back in salt water. Helps to bleed them out proper
Great idea and thank you for sharing what you do! Tight lines!

I won't argue that they are the best considering it is an upgraded Ultegra. Glad you like what you are fishing with!
I love the ultegra!! I got mine in the 5000 size since it’s the same size and weight as the 4000 and it’s landed me some PBs’!!
Mine has been great so far too. Glad it has been a good reel for you and here’s to many more PB’s. Haha.
This was so helpful to me to decide which one to go for 4000 or 5000 and this review gave me the ultimate decision. Thanks mate! 5000 it is then 🫡
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
I appreciate you watching it!

Thanks buddy. That’s good to hear that it works well from the sand too. Do you take it apart often and clean it out or do you send it off?
@@ericwilliamsfishing I send it back for the deep cleaning. I rather the pros do that😂

That’s good to know. Mine has been long gone. Haha.
Just got a Marivel 4000xg, should i return it and get this Ultegra 4000xg instead? 🤔
No clue on that reel buddy.
No. Keep the miravel . Better reel
Good day Brother, greetings from Philiippines ! Can you share to us the main line size you use and leader?
If I am fishing for toothy fish, its 30lbs. Redfish can be anywhere from 20-30lb.

I completely agree with you on this.
Hey man I’ve been watching your duck hunting videos and I was wondering what part of N.C. you hunt
Wilmington NC area.
What size ultergra would you pair with a 7ft mh for pier fishing for bull reds and spec
3000 for spec, 4000-5000 for bull reds. You need line capacity for reds so I’d get two setups, lighter action rod for the trout.
Hey I really enjoy your boat and looking for something similar can you tell me what brand and model it is.

Haha. You won’t regret it! I just wish I had gotten it sooner like the rep said.

Thanks brotha.

Sorry brotha. They all suck 90% of the time. Keep fishing and putting in the time and it will happen.
I just wish I had a fishing buddy@@ericwilliamsfishing
Where are you at? The last video I've seen was in nc
Wilmington, NC.
Do you have an idea on when you will be going out again@@ericwilliamsfishing
@@ericwilliamsfishingand I see you do some beach fishing as well. Do you know the name of the beach?
Is it worth buy ingen the shimano nasci for 70 bucks
They are both good reels. I did have issues with my 4000 Nasci though.
@@ericwilliamsfishing its the nasci or miravel im thinking of buying but I dont know
Can a 4000 size handle a 20+ pound tarpon?
I think it would give it a fit but yes.
Dupa nie kolowrotek😢
Thank you.
