Did you measure the diameter of both gears? Apparently can't see it for sure if the new one is slightly larger or the same size. If it is, then it might compensate maybe the extra resistance.
no, i did not, because they are the same gear ratio. Bigger main gear will not compensate for extra resistance if gear ratio is the same. Lew’s are heavier, I’ll give you that. But I do prefer Lew’s stronger bail piston systems. That loud click as the bail closes just feels right lol. But I also like the finesse feel of Shimano and Diawa’s bails too.
Hello! I found VANFORD FA C3000SDH Can you explain what means SDH letters? I see this reel have two knobs. What advantages it gives to the anglers? Is this okay for bass fishing?
i have no idea what SDH means. Sounds like something you should have checked before buying the reel, no? : ) Shimano's website has all the letters, but i can't remember them all
please do comparison with 2024 twin power fe in the 2500 size or up, is the extra few hundred dollars worth it? because features and technologies wised, they are almost identical.🙏🏽
the twinpower is mechanically a better reel. It is also assembled in japan - at least mine is. I have 2 of the 4000 PG sizes. However, for me twinpower is too heavy for ultralight fishing. But for bass fishing or bigger fish and lures, yes, it is worth it.
Great review. Just a couple nits. I don't think the listed weight is exactly the same. It actually appears to be 5 grams heavier this time around. The 20 Vanford states 150g, and the 24 Vanford states 155g. Part of that extra weight must also be coming from one of the other so-called revolutionary improvements all their marketing talks about - namely, the anti twist fin next to the line roller. You never talked about that. But absolutely no one else does either. It strikes me as yet another bit of messing around with the reel that is completely unnecessary.
I did talk about that in one of my prior videos. I said it was solving a problem that never existed. My review was 50 minutes before editing and it is hard to keep it to 20 min so there is no point in repeating stuff i mentioned in other videos. This plastic DOES NOT deserve a mention by anyone! It is completely worthless. If you look at my video you will see my rotor doesn't have it. People told shimano that nobody cares about that and shimano does not install it any more, they just put it in the box, if u want to install it. Either way, it weighs 0.05 grams, a tiny fraction of a gram, so it does not explain the extra weight
Victor as I’ve read in your comments section… The Complex XR 2500s reportedly comes with a felt drag washer, and is not listed as “High Response Drag” on Shimano’s site. Have you heard of this being the case for the Soare XR 2500 size reel also? That instead of carbon, it comes with the felt drag washer?
sorry, brother, don't know about the bigger sizes. I didn't look them up back then but don't remember any more. On the bright side. i caught a ton of fish with your rods today, from very small to very big. I will ship them back early this week. Thanks a lot for sending them! I read a comment a while back where you said that Shimano and Diawa are 20 years ahead of anyone else. What puts them 20 years a head?
how many years ago did i write that comment? It's more like 10-15 years ahead now. Getting the best Abu Garcia on the market for $300 feels like the old 2014 daiwa Exceller.. I still like the 2014 Exceller more than the $300 Abus..
Yeah I think it was a video a couple years back lol. I have been watching a lot of your videos lol. I do like Shimano and Diawa but I also like Okuma and Lew’s. I just got the Lew’s Speed Spool CRX 1000 size equivalent (100) and it feels amazing. It’s only $60 and it feels as good as my Shimano Nasci.
As long as you are happy... To me nothing from Lews feels like a nasci, not even the $250 Lews reels. I tried all of them at icast in the summer and they all feel very heavy and clunky
Lew’s are heavier, I’ll give you that. But I do prefer Lew’s stronger bail piston systems. That loud click as the bail closes just feels right lol. But I also like the finesse feel of Shimano and Diawa’s bails too.
Do you not like Okuma?
Hello do you buy from any japan shops and whitch ones are with not crazy shipping fees to europe(bulgaria)
it is just expensive, there is no secret. It is not worth it for cheap items
Hello! I found VANFORD FA C3000SDH
Can you explain what means SDH letters?
Can I get your opinion either Vanford 2024 and Soare XR, which 1 you prefer?
whichever is cheaper
@@ifishcatfish I mean in terms of performance in ultralight games, which 1 is better...
@@paksusulung903 they are almost the same
Great review.
Unfortunately.. they do not feel japanese at all. Absolutely nothing wrong, but they feel like something u bought from bass pro shops. I am honestly surprised.
No problem brother I appreciate your honest review. They were only $41 so no biggie. Thank you for taking the time to check them out. Glad you’re ok man. Falling in your mid 40’s is no joke, be safe!
Regardless I bought the new one 😊
If you put Japanese subtitle, some Japanese guy will Comment and Aprecciate this 'Roast' of Shimano reel
I am told the Shimano reps already speak english : )
Unless the gearing had different material. Not much difference
yup
Every freshwater shimano rod and reel I've ever owned has malfunctioned, or broken. Stopped buying products over 5 years ago. I'm baffled as to why this video popped up in my feed.
I am baffled too. This is very baffling. I would like your email though.. to make sure i never sell you anything..
