how has this held up for you?

I bought a nasci 4000fc with a 4.7.1 transmission, do you think it's a good move for fishing pike and medium catfish with a jighead, it was a decision between a stradic and a nasci, I stayed with the nasci because of the price and the transmission, which in my opinion is better for heavier lures that I will use do you think I made the right decision. good video and greetings..

Nice. Your that guy. The one that says you should have been here yesterday. I am the guy that always gets that said to me. Went fishing on Johnnie Mercer's pier. Rented the rod and bought some shrimp for bait. I caught a 10 inch shark and a small croaker. It was a blast.

How do you get in and out of the boat when retrieving birds? Do you have to break blind down to get out of it? Also you're not able to drive with it up, are you?

Eyy i just subbed! Moved to kure beach in may but i havent really been able to focus on fishing until recently. Great video i cant wait to soak up all this stuff and start catching some good stuff. So far just whiting and stingrays off the pier bit theyre closed until april

I like putting slot measurements on my rod. Sharpie..model paint and small brush. Handy & quick.

Good morning. Great videos. I fish down here in TX(Galveston, Texas City), and I just got an Ultegra 3000, and love it going to buy the 4k next. Will be pairing the 4k with a Falcon Coastal Clearwater 7'4" SWS-74mh. This rod is rated 1/4-3/4 oz, but it easily throws 1oz. If you haven't tried one yet, i highly recommend it. I use it for tossing mostly 3/4oz Kastmasters, and popping corks. Have a great day

I have older C3000 HG FB version for 5.5 years, works smooth as butter from the first day. I have upgraded it with 3 bearings, 2 in knob and one in wormshaft, bud didnt notice any difference in work. Lube it once in year, and it will serve you for a lifetime.

The NASCI only has a sealed drag system. There are $30 reels that have that lol. The Ozark Trail OTX 3000, Lew’s LZR Quantum Throttle are just as good of reels as the NASCI and are a fraction of the price.

Also if you’re a big guy it gets a little snug when you have 3/4 guys in the boat. I’m 6’2” 250 and had one more in the boat same size. No problem. Just take turns with shooting because you will cross into each others paths and it’s fucking loud as hell inside the blind when everyone pops off!!

My biggest con is retrieving birds. Not the easiest thing to do especially with the top blind cover on, but we found a way. The second con is not being able to drive or move location with the blind up, unless you have a console style boat. Other than that it’s a great blind. It makes you spoiled really fast. Blocking wind and saved us from a constant rain storm. It’s not waterproof but it still got us out of the weather.

I’ve caught a 42 lb Spanish mackerel in Kalbarri Australia Bleed them straight away and put back in salt water. Helps to bleed them out proper

Eric, good video... We fished that section of beach last nite and didn't catch anything. There was no slough... made a move to a nearby beach this morning and caught about 8-10 citation size (15in+ 1.5 lb+) sea mullets today as well as numerous red and black drum, blues, spots and pomps... biomass is elsewhere!

Is that johnny mercers pier in the distance? i fish there a lot coming from charlotte nc , but I'm missing on surf fishing .. I asked because I like that kinda remote beach you are at.

We got one whiting of decent size and 6-8 pompano of the exact same size you caught last weekend down at Ocean Isle. Thx for sharing the videos!

All the quality pomps were coming about 3/4 the way down the pier, but man they were fickle only wanting pink gotcha plugs. Knowledge I'll use for next year, time to focus on trout, togs, and octopus. I bet live shrimp at FF will be deadly in the next couple weeks!

With regards to the Nasci drag sound working and not working. Had the same issue with mine. Did some digging and found that they have installed the clicker (the little metal triangle) upside down. I flipped it around and the drag was 100%. Hasn't given any issues since.

Subscribed a while back Eric watching your surf fishing. Glad to see another one. Got me stoked to get down to Surf City for some fishing.

Pomp’s should be back around march right? I think most of them have already migrated south but there’s always some that are later.
