I'm psyched to see this, AND every day you were on your break I was so proud to NOT see a video from you - I knew you were taking the time you needed! As a student therapist, I approve!! ❤️
The way you said "they're fine" about the Gilmore Girls palettes made me think about the Season 1 episode where Sookies risotto is "fine." 😆 I'm rewatching the whole series now after your last video. It's such a classic.
@@gracelanders4734 yes!!! Jess is the best!! Have you listened to Scott Petersons podcast I Am All In? I guess he's never actually watched the show despite playing Luke, and he's going through it episode by episode and discussing it. It's so wonderful.
This is so great & needed. I started therapy after my dad passed in 2009. It's definitely a process...you need to find one you connect to. I connected so well to the 2nd one I went to & I am a better person because of it. I started going very regularly & then I tapered off. Now I go back when I feel "off" and go for "tune ups". Jess, so glad you recognized you needed a break! 😘
Thank you Jess for shedding light on the stigma around mental health we have in this country!! Thank you for letting everyone know its OK NOT TO BE OK AND NEED HELP! I appreciate you more than I ever could put in words!!
I appreciate so much you being so open about mental health and about needing a break and looking after yourself.I struggled with depression last year -dealing with Covid and losing my best friend of over 30 years to cancer and it took me so long to admit to even myself that I was struggling let alone saying it out loud to people who love me. I finally got some much needed help and support and I’m in a much healthier and happier place. I still have days or moments where I need to re-set or just take a breath…..but I allow myself to do this now and it’s ok. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️🙏❤️ Xo
I've been using Better Health therapy for over a year & loving them. If anyone is like me & don't have Jessica Braun's type of money or anywhere near it love ya'll Jessica but this momma is broke and still likes makeup but my mental health is more important than anything & I've struggled with depression and anxiety disorders for years so when I mention how much I love Better Health its the truth believe me I've seen several other therapists in the past but they are wonderful to work with. One of the best things is they offer sliding scale prices so its affordable and they also have later appointments so missing work isn't necessary. Mental health & depression is real just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't true so pls be kind to yourself and others ... May prayer is for one day they will have a cure but until then please take care of yourself and never stop trying 💜 I'm so thankful & blessed I'm able to share this & pls remember your never alone . Glad to hear it worked for you- I hated it! It was way too think and hard to get out of the tube. I’ve enjoyed the ELF one and Bare Minerals oil cleanser. 💕
Ppl are going thru so much right now, the world, personal etc, so thank you for the mental health part! In my family, it’s taboo to even say that you are struggling mentally so this is so helpful! It’s just part of the culture i guess, I love that you are so transparent, not always all about yourself! 😍
My son attempted suicide a couple of years ago and my family wanted to all day he just needed to get right with God. Now God is very important but his mental health had to be addressed. Sad time.
cindylou1108 Been through the same with my nephew. So hard. His father STILL tells him that he just needs to get straight with God. Of course God is important. This is a medical issue NOT spiritual, you know? My nephew did get the right help and support and is doing great! He has come to grips with his Dad’s “ issues “ and that he may never get it. So thankful for people who use their platform for good like Jess! Have a great evening ✨💫🌙🌟✨
You are loved, Jessica, and I really am thankful that you share about mental health. Too many people don't want to share that part of their lives and only want to portray the good, but you, RachhLoves, and Taylor Wynn are all honest enough to share issues that a lot of us deal with. Anxiety is real and needs to be addressed. Love you, Jessica!
You are by far my favourite TH-camr. I love watching your videos. Welcome back and thanks for sharing your story. While you have been away I have gone back and started binge watching your videos from early 2020. Pre COVID. It’s great. Do you ever go back and watch or read your comments from older videos? It’s been neat to see you change from then to now. Keep up the great work Jessi.
I hope you are feeling better after your break. I've been watching (as usual, even if you are not on a break) many of your older TH-cam videos these days because I miss you (I hope that's not weird, it's in a good way). You are my favourite TH-camr ever! I feel like you are so present when you make your videos and that really shows and brings a whole good, positive, comforting "vibe" to your videos (I hope that made sense). Lots of love and thank you for your videos xxx
It's so crazy to me how expensive therapy is, even better help. I'm glad they sponsor you and you promote better help, but I went through the questionnaire before and got to the cost... What a bummer.
Something I LOVE for under eyes on a no makeup makeup day is the garnier clearly brighter anti-dark circle eye roller. I’ve probably repurchased this more than anything over the last decade. I was recently without it for a month because I lost it and kept hoping I would find it and I missed it so much I caved and just got a new one. Just roll it on. Let it sit for like 30 seconds and tap it in. Zero creasing at all. My husband will even let me lighten his circles with it if we have an event because it’s not at all obvious once it’s blended in. I also love it for red areas around the nose. It’s not with the makeup it’s usually with the skincare. People need to know about it.
I made a trip to Ulta in Target and grabbed that baked trio! That specific shade has been sold out on their website for a little bit now, so I was excited to see it in stores! I love it, and it’s been a while since I was really impressed with a powder product!
I use the stretch concealer on a sponge and dab it under the eyes and to correct discoloration with Laura teller powered lightly on top all the time. I want to try the undone beauty one next because I heard it has a bit more coverage.
So glad you discovered the joys of Sephora rouge gel lip liners! Creme de la Creme is my favorite. If you want a kind of spiced red-brown for fall, Mesquite is also beautiful. Also, THANK YOU for being open and encouraging about mental health. I am taking a much needed day off with a good friend to be out in nature today, exploring a trail area neither of us have been before. I just really need that. And I hope other people consider their self care, too - it's not selfish! 💖✨
Ooo, wasn't expecting a video from you today so this is a happy surprise! Its funny, The Lakes is a song I always listen to on that album-one of my favs! Happy you came around to it! Just placed a hold on Libby for that book!

I've been thinking a lot recently about burnout and vacation (both in general and personally) and I really think it's so awesome that you took a genuine break (or possibly still are and this is just a mid-break upload)! When most of us take a vacation, we are able to step away from work unless something major happens. But you so kindly vlog 95% of your vacations for us, which obviously I love, but that means you are literally working during almost every vacation! Anyway, I just wanted to say I'm really glad you are taking this time for your own mental health considering your videos are such a gift for the rest of ours 💙
I think it’s a great option to be able to do therapy online, but a lot of people don’t like it as much as in person. Connections can get lost, video can freeze… among other things. I did a lot of online therapy sessions during the pandemic, as I am a Psychotherapist in Texas. I’m so glad I was able to do that, but so many of my clients were so glad to be able to get back into the office:) Glad you are addressing mental health issues on your channel!
Jess, thank you so much for your openness about your mental health and for partnering with orgs like Better Help to normalize treatment and engagement around our mental health. I wish we could get everyone to think about their mental health the way they think about their physical health. I started therapy when I was in my early 20's and it was life changing. I go back when I need to and it's one of the best tools in my personal self-care tool box. Also, kudos to you for taking the time off you needed! Good modeling of healthy behavior!! :)
Ulta used to have a stick foundation and in the middle was green for color correcting. Literally my favorite stick foundation EVER! Wish they didnt discontinue it.
Ripple!! It’s pea milk actually but it’s my favorite and I’m so happy to have a “real milk” feeling dairy free alternative. So funny to see you mention it. Haha

I read The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle (apparently the American title 🤷♀️) this year, too, and loved it! When you were talking about it I was like ‘girl, don’t say too much!’ Ha but you did good.
I love the lakes too ♥️ and also slept on how good it is until recently.
The Lakes is my favorite Taylor Swift song ever. So glad to see someone shout it out. It's so beautiful.
I picked up the stretch concealer after you talked about it a couple months ago and it has become my absolute favorite thing. 🤩
What kind of eyelashes do you have on and lipstick? I love the look. Very elegant ❤️
We missed you Jess! hope youre feeling good and healthy
OMG THAT IS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE BOOK. I picked it up on a whim last year and devoured it, and now I recommend it to everyone! I’m so excited to hear someone else finally talk about it!
