To be honest I have bronzer and blush that are five years old. I find power products don’t go bad for the most part. So I just don’t feel that concerned about powder products getting old. Unless there’s some decomposition or smell coming from them are they stopped working the way they should

Agreed. Unless it’s going on my eyes. The expiration dates I don’t really pay attention to. I finally used up my physicians formula bronzer and that’s the first bronzer I ever bought in 2017/2018. It was still good lol
I would love to see a series of videos where you try things you forgot about or haven’t used in a while or that are on the chopping block! Whether that’s a whole face of them or a mixture I think it would be a great way to follow up on things!

I think I'm the only person in the world that hates sounds like that! The shuffling stuff on the floor too 🤢 All the asmr stuff that was popular for a while omg it was awful for me. It makes me so nauseous and want to throw up! No idea why! 😅🙃

My makeup collection is one tiny drawer in my bathroom BUT using that time frame of pre covid until now really helped me to cut back a while ago. I even pulled out my label maker and labelled each product for when I got it and that's been a life saver! If you have a big collection the labelling might be a bit much though 😅
I do this! It’s manageable if you do it moving forward. Too difficult to go back through the older ones but even then that’s helpful! If I’m a year or so the product doesn’t have a label you know it’s pre-2022!
I'm already looking forward to the highlighter declutter. (Especially the creams)
Hi Jessica love your videos! I cut the corners of the Benefit boxes so they lay flat for application but you can still fold them back into the lids to close - so much easier!

I recently watched a video where you said you regretted decluttering your Too Faced Chocolate bronzer. Then recently watched where you bought it again. I just bought it myself and you were so right, especially in the milk chocolate!! Gorgeous and smells insane!!! I am also the weirdo that enjoys the smell of Physicians Formula Butter and Matte Manoi blush/bronzers. I also love the Lumi Bronzer. Thing it, I am not a fan of a lot of luminosity on my particular round face. Using this bronzer pushes me to be a little “extra” without it being too much.

I don’t like how luminous the butter bronzer is either (oily skin gal) but I love the tone and how easy it blends out! By accident I’ve found that if you have to repress it with alcohol- it changes the formula. It makes it more of a satin instead of so glowy! After I finished it and bought another, I purposefully repressed it to change the formula lol.
I absolutely love that KVD gel bronzer! It really is a game changer!! These videos are always so helpful. Love hearing your thoughts on all the bronzers!

They are sold out of the Earth day packaging Physicians Formula "Bronzer" shade online, hopefully that helps give them the push to add it permanently everywhere! Haven't had the chance to buy it yet but love the smaller & cuter packaging

Excited for a declutter! The Milk makeup bronzer does separate but you can give it a good shake and mix it before squeezing any out. I love that you do swatches so we can see the actual colors on skin. Thanks for another great video!

Aah I love the fenty beauty cream bronzer! so easy to work with and it lasts. Also, just need to shake the milk liquid bronzer a bit to make sure it comes out the way it's supposed to, no need to waste product. So crazy how different our preferences can be as similar makeup style loving people. Thanks for sharing your declutters! much love.

I think you should do a contour video. What you have in your collection. What you do recommend. What you like to use when you contour. And how you apply it. Do you apply bronzer on top? What are your steps? I’d love to watch something like that. Especially with weddings and other events back on.

I agree with others below in that powder products can last for years without going bad including eye shadow palettes. Most of us ( especially if your following Jessica and others) have so many products that we don't use everyday and we rotate through what we do use frequently. There is no way I can use every cream, moisturizer, eye palettes, serum ...in the span of 6-12 months and I am not throwing away expensive and perfectly good products I spent my hard earned money on. I use common sense and if something seems off I toss it.

Yes! 100%. Most of the time the expiration dates is just the date that they can guarantee freshness by. It doesn’t mean the product is actually bad past that date.

My favorites are the Westman Atelier cream contour stick, the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Matte Bronzer, & the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer. I can't wait to try the new Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer
I love using a duo fiber brush for the fenty bronzer. Makes it much more diffused and pretty for me.

Bronzers is one category of makeup I'm satisfied with have just a few of. I have The Balm's Blush/Bronzer, which is amazing as a bronzer and a blush, Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow, and one Nars palette with a bronzer in it...and that's it! I am impressed by myself because nearly all other types of makeup I have an obnoxious amount of. I do have the itch to try a new one though...we'll see...
The Loreal True Match Lumi Bronzer is my favorite powder bronzer of all time, too! It's perfection!
I LOVE the Chanel bronzer ! It’s dry compared to other creams and will stay good along time . Keep it .

I’m one of the people who like the Fenty cream bronzer and I use the same shade as you. That being said, it’s my first cream bronzer ever I have no compassion. I was to try the Patrick Ta bronzer duo next.

Hi Jessica - been watching your videos for a year or two. Paused the video and hoping you keep the city bronzer, Lumi bronzer, elf and PF Butter bronzer. Your previous reviews pointed me in that direction. I generally like to see something recommended several times before purchasing. The only one left on my list is the Flower beauty. I’m a 90% drugstore gal.

Heya Jessica. Meijer has a newish beauty box…for like $5….and I honestly like it. There’s very little makeup but there’s skincare and hair care in it. I think you will be typically guaranteed to get a full size product too. It’s probably around a $30 or $40 value.

Ms. Jess, I'm with the others here that say "Keep the powder stuff even if it IS old!" Also that lovely Physcians Formula light bronzer in Earth Fay package--use it as eyeshadow! At least it won't go to waste!

I love the Loreal Lumi bronzer too, it's my grail bronzer and I've gone through a few of them. It is such a beautiful color, luminous but not glittery and doesn't bother my sensitive skin or cause breakouts :)

Until the fire, a lot of my makeup was bareMinerals loose powders, which never expire. So, when I had to repurchase everything, I had no idea what to buy. I’ve made some mistakes (a lot actually), but declutter videos like this help me feel more confident in my purchases. When you keep something that I own, it’s probably silly but I feel like I bought well.
Jessie, with that Charlotte Tilbury face palette, try a stippling brush with those bronzers. It should work much better because it works for me.

I love the Charlotte tilbury nudegasm palette! It’s so good for travel and I think the quality is great; it’s got everything I need. Highly recommend you keep!!
I agree and I think it works best with smaller, denser brushes because it's sort of a cream to powder formula.

yeah ive noticed with some higher ends products, i think theyre pressed more tightly so you need to go in and almost like break through the wax seal, and just swatch enough times to get rid of that top layer and then its like product is completely transformed, and is so much more pigmented and just gorgeous

My top two bronzers are the physicians formula bronzers and I’ve been really loving a Marcelle bronzer, it only comes out in the summer time, I believe you can find it on there website (they are a Canadian brand) it comes in a giant pan it’s like a highlighter and bronzer in one, it gives such a nice light glow and bronze, absolutely perfect for the summer!
Well, I just went through all of my makeup except for eyeshadow palettes and threw a TON away. Most of it was purchased between 2018 and 2019 and now...well, 12 months does not equal 48 months! :) I did keep my BareMinerals bronzer--my ultimate favorite bronzer--I'm so sad it's been discontinued, or else I would throw away and rebuy. I'm sure I got that original recommendation from you (actually, a lot of my makeup recs are from you!). Thanks for the decluttering inspo :)

I was in Seussical!! I learned all of Gertrude's songs because I really wanted to get that role but I was in the Who ensemble. It was still fun though!
Jessica!!! Dramatic I know, sorry, but the Charlotte Tilbury palette is made with a gelea formula so you have to use a dense brush with it. It does get better once you work into it, so it should be prime time. Give it another chance because it’s really good with the right brush.
I love your declutter videos. I keep my products past the expiration date. I keep a log of when I opened and I regularly sanitize with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol. I also keep a watch on change in formula and smell. That's when I get rid of them. I have a Too Faced bronzer that still applies beautifully. It's a little over 2 years old. My cream and liquid products I keep an extra eye on.

Maybe benefit will redo the packaging for the hoopla bronzer like they just did with their blushes. They came out with new shades and also made the box packaging a lot slimmer and got rid of the brushes that came with them.
I do like these type of videos. I've watched you for about a year, so I've not seen all of these bronzers demonstrated. De-cluttering them still gives me an idea if I want to try them or not.

Bronzer is one of those items that I love and use so much that I am always game to try a new one. So it is easy for that category of my collection to get out of hand. P.S. no matter how many declutters you do, I always come back.

Benefits FINALLY updated their packaging!! They don't come with the brush that we NEVER use anymore so the packaging is slimmer. I think it's time I pick them up again. It's been years since i decluttered mine.
