    Hello boss, its been a while since you posted any videos.
    Learnt alot through your previous videos
    Cant wait for the Mgbb latest update.
    Btw what is the best aquarium size for Mgbb?

    • @TheSimpleAquarist
      @TheSimpleAquarist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man, Yeah life cought up with me . So the minimum size would 4x2x2 but best and ideal size is 6x2.5x2.5 (you can use this forever without upgrading ) MGBB will grow around 2ft-2.5ft is 5-10 years time.but Of course the bigger better.

      To clean the chamber 3 , i usually remove all media and then suck all water using pump then place media back.

    about her, now I'm just standing in one place and when I slowly approach her and try to feed her she's shocked ... She looks so tired I'm afraid of she will die 😞
    Please help me do anything to keep her alive.

    Hi, I'm thinking of getting a golden xback arowana.. do u think i would hv any issue using an external canister filter? Are there an easy way of maintaining an optimum water parameter? Im not good with Ph level stuff, do i hv to get it in my head? I'm in Singapore btw using Sg tap water.. Are they safe enough for an arowana? Thanks!

    • @TheSimpleAquarist
      @TheSimpleAquarist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi,
      Thanks for watching.
      Well arowana are pretty hardy so of course you can use canister and do well just have to keep up with water changes weekly. As for as i know singapore water is higher ph 7.5 and above which is no issues. The key is stability do not chase number.

      @@TheSimpleAquarist ohh... Thanks for the advice.. Earlier i was thinking about getting the Seachem Alert Combo for Ammonia and Ph level reading.. Do u think its necessary? After all I'm using Sg tap water, but i will still use a dechlorinator.. Thanks!

    its been one year, have you had to change your activated carbon in your drip feed tubes yet? have you tested any chlorine from the dripper? thanks

    • @TheSimpleAquarist
      @TheSimpleAquarist  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi , So far in 1 an half year i only changed carbon once - drip rate around 100ml/min

      @@TheSimpleAquarist thanks, I work at a pet store and we are about to redesign the shop with new tanks and this drip system. How would a power cut affect your water, won't it run down your waste pipe? And when the power comes back on the levels will be too low?

    • @TheSimpleAquarist
      @TheSimpleAquarist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CaptureLife Hi , Of great.
      Yes power cut is an issue but I've already found few solution to solve this:
      1. Add acdc back up battery connected to the pumps.
      2. If your just designing the system - make sure you have a bigger sump that can still run when the power cut off.
      3. Complicated method- Using a solenoid valve that shut off during power cut off and a water level sensor turning off drip system.
      See which ever suits your system.
      and yes drip system really safe time and hassle if done in larger scale - many breeding facility does it too.

    • @CaptureLife
      @CaptureLife 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheSimpleAquarist perhaps a solenoid holding the waste open, that way it is closed during temporary power cut.
