Using Height map in Blender to create landscapes

In this video, I will show you how to use a height map to build a landscape, some some techniques that I use to optimise the render. There are other ways that will slow you down dramatically, and they focus on creating still images in Blender. Not me. I am here for the pain. If you actually read the description which I don't normally, can you leave a comment saying "pelicans in Spain". Just kinda curious lol
By the way, I am going to have to create some custom shaders based off the height map to make higher quality materials.

yeah, that is why I come back in with the decimate modifier. Also, good to know about the pelicans lol

How do I export it?

instead of using decimate, going into *edit mode* and selecting everything might be an option. after which you just have to go *edge* and then *un-subdevide*
