Great video the mic seemed fine too 👍 In my experience it’s not just aftermarket parts suppliers either, i run a dealership workshop & have had a faulty heater motor (new OE part) good job i checked before fitting because it’s dash out to fit 🥺
Never any guarantees that the part you fit is the right part. So many different variants across manufacturers. Suprised a garage repairing don't recognise this.
Was shopping for a ABS sensor yesterday for my skoda, seems so many different makes available. Thanks for the video, Video & Sound quality excellent as usual.
Hey! Long time follower, first time commenter! Just wondered if you would be able to do a video on how you know what load is safe to test a circuit?? In this one you show that the test light is ok to be used, but what is the difference between that and say a higher wattage bulb? Thanks!!
Checking voltages with a multimeter is much better , sometimes you may only get 4v or 4.5v which can cause issues especially intermittent one’s. Normally resistance on connector contacts.
Wrong part supplied.. How many times have I experienced that issue ( as well as new parts that were faulty out of the box.) Excellent diagnosis Ryan.. Hope your mic sorts itself out.
Regarding abs sensors I always get parts suppliers to double check if it's the right part for the car vag ford and mercedes are critical on abs sensors and sent me down a rabbit hole over the years.
What age were you when you felt confident in your ability to work by yourself ?...can you tell the many viewers about your training, how long etc. Your a very talented guy !!!
Thanks George, After my dealership training i moved to a mobile company and have since worked everyday by myself, I went self employed 3 years ago at 27 Done dealer mastertech training which stepped up my game big time Thanks for watching
A nice little combination of faults there I remember the video on the focus regarding the incorrect ABS Sensors The same fault on the Fiesta worth remembering 👍 although I see the owner was on the fence about the matter at 5.04 😂 can’t say I noticed any crackles on the Mike your a top man or TopDon 🤔😂
Always seems to be the nearside rear wheel sensor that fails on these Fords. Or is it just me? I like the way they come out really easy so you can swop side to side & confirm diagnostic.
The sensors was different in regards to the colour which maybe a different resistance, I could be wrong but that in my opinion why it has a different read out
The motor trade is getting crazier by the day ryan , good job we only charge 25p an hour without any callout charge 😂😂😂😂, great diagnostic checks and excellent repair , the parts guys are not technically trained, just parts sellers 😂😂😂
Having been a tech for over 12 years and now a parts supplier i've been on both sides of the frustrations with incorrectly supplied parts. My view is that the onous is on the tech fitting the part. A good knowledgeable parts supplier is worth their wait in gold however, there is always room for error such as warehouse pickers picking the wrong part. In most cases, no harm done other than a waste of time but putting incorrectly supplied fluid in for example could be more costly. Great video once again btw 👌🏼
Presume aftermarket sensors were used here? Saved themselves £10 on the part but wasted in extra labour costs Ford sensors are only £25 and the catalogue will narrow it down to correct sensor for vehicle
Shame the fault description in your scan tool didnt match the code as it was giving the correct numbers and letters to describe the incorrect part , why dont they include it cheap gits , good video mate as always ,cheers,
No crackling sound coming over the video.

Great video and crackle free.Glad you sorted it out. That certainly is rusty underneath that Focus.
Nothing changes there, viscious road salt 😊
Just noticed the cat sitting on the fence behind you, watching. 💕
Never even seen 🤣
Thanks for watching
probably interested in the topdon x link just giving it an eyeball before buying one
Great stuff. No audio issues for me. Thanks very much
Find this fascinating. Worked on cars when life was simpler. Cheers
Thanks Nick

Every day is a learning day in the garage trade, great content as always 👌 👏🏿

garage should be cross checking the part! VAGS have the same issues

Always important for garages to check the spec of the car to see if it needs an active or passive abs sensor.
Regarding abs sensors I always get parts suppliers to double check if it's the right part for the car vag ford and mercedes are critical on abs sensors and sent me down a rabbit hole over the years.
Very knowledgeable individual

Great video, fyi there is a slight problem with the audio, not crackling but like an echo effect
The sound was fine mate, good work

After getting past the issue as why it was wrong but in the part there is clearly a reason why they are different.
No noise i can hear, good diag again.
How much would that have cost roughly mate. Awesome channel. Love it. Thanks. Craig 👍🏼🙂
What was coated on the positive battery terminal?
Battery terminal spray grease
Sound fine. Good video as always.

there is solder and tape and heat shrink solder connectors, what method do you use to connect broken wires?
It depends on the location but this one is soldered, Adhesive tubed and cetroplast tape was used
There was no waterproof sleeve letting water into the connections.
No crackling here it's fine interesting video 👍
The cat is watching everything.

The stupidity of manufacturers. The plugs should be different and not be physically interchange.
Will the Topdon discount link becoming later ?
I have updated the description

Sine vs Square wave sensor?
Square (hall effect)

No noise
