I was born and raised in W-B but we moved to another state in the late 70s. I used to go back during the summers for a few years. It was a great place to grow up back then but I’ve heard it’s gone down hill for many years now. Depressing, seeing so many run down homes. Things were different back then.
I lived in WB and Hanover township from 93-99. When I saw a pawn shop open up on Main Street, I knew it wasalll downhill from there. It’s garbage everywhere, houses are rundown. It looks really bad now
Goddamnit, he drove right past my apartment, I guess I officially live in the hood. In all honesty, Wilkes Barre isn't the prettiest place but if you're not involved in things you shouldn't be, you dont have anything to worry about, everyone in my part of the "hood" are cool folks and I've experienced nothing but positivity in my immediate surroundings.
0:43 into the video---Sambourne Street. You're off to a great start! That's the trap right there, baby. South Main Plaza. the shopping center and south main street - the boulevards of broken dreams. Lot of ratchet nonsense happens in that se ction of the city. as somebody in recovery, i can tell you how bad that neighborhood is.
Grew up here 16 years, I ran this blokk 😂 everyone who say it ain't the hood is wrong, just look up s Franklin St in WB... alot of murders, maybe not be chicago stats but people get it in in WB no joke
