    She got tactics: decided to not allow her opponent to take advantage of her pace. And she made it her goal to be more concentrated. With all the giggling, she does give meaningful answers. Smart girl.

      when you cut through the giggling, she generally displays good composure in the answers that she gives to questions. if by "unpolished and authentic" you mean that it doesn't sound like her answers are rehearsed, i agree.

      Jim Stark - 'simpleminds'.....'heretofore sheltered'.....'manufactured ugliness'......are you for real? You're a passive-aggressive, pseudo-intellectual simpleton with inane faux-insights that constitute nothing more than meaningless drivel. It appears that you also suffer from casual institutionalised racism.

    What a pleasantly surprising and unexpected run by Naomi to win this title. Congrats!
    I remember watching her play Madison Keys at the US Open in 2016 and leading like 5-0 or something outrageous like that in the 3rd set. I was on the elliptical at the gym while watching that last set and I remember thinking to myself, oh yeah Osaka's got this one. Then it all fell apart and the match just slipped away from her, I felt so bad for her. But I remember thinking that she had the game to challenge the top players in women's tennis if she just kept at it and got more match play in and worked on to improve the mental part of her game. I can see it has paid off, so I'm happy to see a sweet and likable younger generation player on the rise! Keep at it Naomi, because I see you winning at least one slam in the near future, possibly even this year! :)

    Naomi Osaka has "GAME" not only on the Tennis Court but in the Conference Room in the presence of social and cultural conquistadors.
    She uses humility and simplicity, a la GEORGE FOREMAN, in order to
    "Win Friends And Influence People"* - by design or unconsciously.

    Let's celebrate by toasting on behalf of Naomi Osaka
    with a bottle or two of the

    As she scales the heights of tennisdom and becomes a global household name in the sport, curious viewers/readers would be scouring for and asking pertinent questions about her profile and her family's...not least will be:
    1. What is her full name at birth? ... she isn't named after her father's patronym for sure; what's her mom's surname then? Or did her parents deprive her of a family name?
    2. When was she naturalized as a US citizen? ... since she was born in Japan whence she emigrated at age 3, what's the criterion for her naturalization, as a professional tennis player?
    3. Is she holding Japanese citizenship because just being born in Japan does not qualify her to be a Japanese as her father is Haitian... Japan is very strict WRT citizenship per patrilineal descent.
    4. It appears highly incongruous for Naomi to be playing for Japan as she doesn't even speak the language. And US being her adopted country and her only residence since aged 3, shouldn't she be representing it when abroad. Her flagging herself out to a foreign flag of convenience is questionable to say the least...is this all about the mighty dollars or is there more to it?
    Enquiring minds would like answers to the above.

    • @alvincarrasca827
      @alvincarrasca827 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe she's using her real name. Her mother is a Japanese, born in Japan hence she's a Japanese citizen. She's still under 21 years old thus she's holding dual citizenship. Once she turn 21, she need to decide which citizenship is she's going to embrace as Japanese law doesn't allow dual.

    • @lesterkok8819
      @lesterkok8819 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      But that does not explain how she became a US citizen since she was born in Japan... not that it matters, but out of curiosity I find her situation to be really odd. Don't you?

    • @alvincarrasca827
      @alvincarrasca827 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quoting from wikipedia, "As Osaka has dual Japanese and American citizenship, her father took the decision to register her with the Japan Tennis Association when she began her career.". Regarding with her dual citizenship, I'm not sure how she attained American citizenship. Maybe her father is an American citizen as her father studied and graduated at New York University.

    • @lesterkok8819
      @lesterkok8819 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Her father is Haitian by birth, and his being a student in New York does not ipso facto naturalize him as American. And that's precisely my point of curiosity. But eventually it would all be made clear by the media as she rises to national/international prominence... of that I am quite certain.

      Shan Liang Maybe, if we could examine her without cloths on, look in every hole, maybe we will find a mark that says what she is, and if she is japanese. I grew up with many people that look like Naomi. My country people are the biggest mix of all kind, type of people.You can read the mix off her face and rest of her body and movement. Nationality is a technical thing. Like most of the top european sportes are from a different racetype than the people they represent.
      This question is very narrowminded.

    I hate to say this but there seems to be some mental issues with Naomi that are somewhat puzzling. I don't know if it relates to her upbringing, personality, youth and lack of real world experiences, or that she's just different and childlike in terms of common sense.
