FYI… L does not mean 3rd row as mentioned several times throughout this video. L stands for long wheel base because it’s longer than the non-L GC. The L is 3rd row capable but it’s optional not standard equipment.
Nice job with the female perspective in mind. Also dug that you mentioned the sight lines didn’t cause you to shift your seat position. I’ve upgraded from the WK to this L and noticed the same thing.
Hello Jill. Good review and test drive video of this new generation 5th generation Grand Cherokee L. Nice off roading courses which wasn't an issue with this Jeep. Usually a 3rd row seating SUV would only do an OK job off roading, but with this 3rd row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee L it did very good on the off roading courses in this video and in videos I've seen on other You Tube channels. You did good off roading with it. I'm glad that Jeep finally threw in 3rd row seating this time around for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Third row seating was first rumored for the third generation Jeep Grand Cherokee which I have, but it never became to fruition for the production model. Third row seating was also rumored for the current 4th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee which now became the outgoing generation, but it never became to fruition for the production model. Generally speaking, automakers or companies regardless of what they specialize in respond to customer feedback. With that being said Jeep mentioned in their Conference presentation video few months ago that they decided to include third row seating this time for the 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee based on requests made by current Jeep Grand Cherokee owners. The requests made to include 3rd row seating wasn't a little bit. It was more than quite of few requests made including one by me. Despite achieving very good overall sales year after year for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep had to do something to address passenger capacity. They had to do something this time because most of the mid-size SUV rivals have 3rd row seating. So, that means Jeep had to include third row seating for their upcoming new generation mid-size SUV. Glad they did. That was a good demonstration of the Jeep associate sitting in the 3rd row. He's 6'4" and was fine back there. A person who is 6'4" would not be fine in the 3rd row seating area on some to most of the other mid-size 3rd row seating SUV rivals. There will be six trim levels to choose from to start things off for the very soon to be released Jeep Grand Cherokee L. From the base tier trim to the highest tier trim includes the Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. I currently have the 3rd generation Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Limited trim and I have intentions on getting the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. However, I'm not going to get it this year. I'm not going to get the first year of the new generation. I'll get either the second or third year of the new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L so that it'll give me more time to put some money away for it and also by that time couple more standard features will get added. When the time comes for me to get it I'll get it in the Overland trim nicely equipped with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. This year 2021 will belong to Jeep. Two new Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles will get released which will be the third row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee L to get released soon (sometime this coming week) and the Jeep Grand Cherokee with the usual two rows of seats later in the year. Also, like what was mentioned in this video two Wagoneer full size SUVs will get released as well this year. The Jeep Wagoneer will compete with the regular full size SUVs while the Jeep Grand Wagoneer will compete with the luxury full size SUVs. Should be GRRREAT!! 👍👍
I just bought a new 2022 JGC Limited only to find out next day the A/C is not working. Not blowing cold air. It has been in the delete for four days and cannot diagnose the issue. Delearship open a case and is waiting for Jeep to come back with some guidance. They check another one in the lot not sold yet and also has the same condition.....
Not good I'd bet. Did you see the TFL Truck video when they took the new Defender on a rocky course and popped not one but two of the tires on the same rock leaving them with no spare tire and stuck on the trail. 20" wheels there too.
I have a couple of those 12v outlets in my 2017 GMC Duramax 2500 truck and I use them only a little portable air compressor. Usually just for filling up footballs, basketballs and stuff like that buy mostly mountain bike tires. I guess I could plug a vacuum cleaner in there too if I needed one by why would I bring a vacuum cleaner with me??? I don't know, but I guess you could.
Great review Jill , But about this new facelift , it's disappointing. As an owner of 2020 Grand Cherokee , I think the previous generation looks better . Especially , front grill , fog lights and head lights. Anyway , maybe its new and we need to digest the idea of a new facelift and 3 row seats .
The SUVs that's a minivan in disguise are the Honda Pilot and soon to be outgoing generation Nissan Pathfinder. As for this soon to be released 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L having the minivan effect....ah nope. For a vehicle with third row seating it did well on the off road courses I've seen in this video and other videos.
