    Thank you!! Thank you!! I’ve steered away from making glaze because of the way it turned out….a metallic taste. The butter was the key. This glaze it wonderful !❤️❤️

    Is this the kind of glaze that dries a bit on the cake. I like that one.

      Hi Sreya! Yes, this glaze will dry with a mild crust due to the powdered sugar content.

    How long can the glaze last if in a humid country? Can I use evaporated milk instead of milk?

    Did you ever think to add the amounts of each ingredient would be helpful? Just a helpful suggestion.

      Thanks, Denise! I have a terrible memory for recipe amounts and would hate to say the wrong measurement for an ingredient, so you can always find the recipe in the video description. I hope this helps 😁

    Is vanilla extract necessary ?

    • @BeckyKastelz
      @BeckyKastelz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Lucy!
      The vanilla extract makes a nice balanced flavor to keep the glaze from only tasting like powdered sugar, but you can definitely swap it out for another extract or even some citrus juice. Hope this helps! 😁

    Is the milk room temperature or did you heat it up?

    • @BeckyKastelz
      @BeckyKastelz  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Room temperature is totally fine for the milk, I've even used it cold straight out of the fridge. I hope this helps, and thank you for watching!

    How long can i put in the freezer ?

    • @BeckyKastelz
      @BeckyKastelz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, thanks for watching! I don't recommend putting this glaze in the freezer. Because the powdered sugar content causes a slight crusting on the surface, it's best to use immediately after making. If you do need to hold it for 2-3 days, you can store it in a plastic container with a tight-fitting lid; place plastic wrap directly on the surface of the glaze before adding the lid and keep in the refrigerator. Let the glaze return to room temperature before use. I hope this helps!

    How to cut the cake/pastry that has this icing. Whenever i cut it cracks and it’s not presentable 😅

    • @BeckyKastelz
      @BeckyKastelz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ayesha! Because the glaze contains powdered sugar, it will always dry with a slight crust, making cutting slices cleanly a little tricky. The best way to cut down on the cracks is to use a hot, clean knife for every slice. I like to dip my knife into steaming hot water and quickly dry it before I make each cut. Hope this helps!

      I'm so sorry you had trouble with the glaze! Did you sift your powdered sugar first? If there are any lumps present before the liquid and powdered sugar some into contact they won't be able to dissolve.
