I remember looking for that Takom Panzer I a/b kit, which was sold out everywhere. I made a special trip over to your shop for the first time and luckily I may of grabbed your last one. It's a nice kit.
I just received my replacement wheels for the Puma from AFV Modeller in England and they are superb. They correct the very noticeable errors on the kit and SOL wheels and also have accurate tires which Das Werk also got wrong. I would recommend the AFV Modeller wheels to anyone who has the kit as it will greatly improve a very noticeable area of your model.
Vk 100.01 is the project name for the maus tank and k3382 is one of the early concept for it. Yes it looks very silly, but germans did things like that
I know this sounds sarcastic but wow just what the world needs, another mustang kit. How's about making some model aircraft that's not been on the market before like ICM's beautiful Japanese medium bomber Sally in 1/48 scale. 😀👍
For those more knowledgeable, why are model companies so afraid to make panzer I kits? Three very few companies who even made them and now a lot of them are over 40-60 dollars on eBay . I’m glad takom is bringing them back, I missed the chance to bu the two pack kit last time
I picked up the Dune ornithopter at Nats. Only just started but its a great kit. Never though there would be a movie let alone styrene kits of one of my favorite books.
It looks like SOL based their wheel hubs on the Das Werk wheels. When you look at pictures of the real thing, including those of 1111, you can see that the outer part of the hubs where they meet the rim are at an almost 90 degree angle. The kit hubs and the SOL resin examples both have softer angle to them which is quite noticeable.
Love all the new stuff coming out. The Dune kits from Meng look awesome. Is there any chance that Das Werk or Andys will bring out some 1/16th towed artillery/ anti aircraft equipment. A 37mm behind the new 250 would be uber cool. Just asking.
Just got an email from Tamiya America: there is a new 35388 1/35 German Tank Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf.B on the way. But do not hold your breath, it may be awhile.
those Meng car kits are about twice the price than they should be. the Audi has shape issues. my LHS has had a few of them sitting on the shelf for a few months now, even after a sale. nobody wants to pay the prices they are asking.
Fun Fact! The Object 279 actually has real 3 prototypes produced with 1 in running condition and a video of it driving can be seen here on TH-cam.
