I bought the Lukgraph Oeffag D.III and to be honoust: it's a stinker. Massive amounts of print wobble, broken parts that take forever to be replaced, aelerons that don't fit to the wings etc etc. NOT worth the money at all.
Appreciate the feedback and pinned your comment so it can be seen more easily. If anyone else has any experience then they can comment on this post. It’ll be interesting to sus this out as a one off failure or do others have better experiences?
@@TheScaleModeler I'm intrested to know aswell. From my network I get mixed reactions. Print wobble seems to be a common theme on most kits (and is basically a lazy programmers fault, since anyone can fix it). It would be fine if these kits were 50 or 60 euro's, but I paid like 200 for it!
Hello Jim, my favorite model channel to finish out the weekend. First you could never make too long of a video , with so much going on in the modeling industry it's difficult to make anything shorter. Next, I am now keeping a note book handy to make a list for Santa Claus. It seems the armour model kits are increasing in number, however I can see why because of the tremendous details that can be added. As an aircraft modeler I was very glad to see the moulding techniques have advanced to making fuselage parts fit together to minimize that huge seam. So the Japanese kit definitely goes on the list. The only other kit that has started a similar technique , that I know of is Amusing Models with their triple series of the Me - 262 HGlll variants. I'm also seeing more 1/32 scale aircraft. 1/48 scale seems to be slowing down. And while 1/72 continues to be popular , the single engine aircraft are difficult to detail, but It does offer a nice scale for multi engine aircraft. So many models and so little time . That's why your videos are so informative As always, Cheers from the Pacific Northwest in the colonies, Bob. Oh I forgot to mention I DI like the Mobius models re- issuing some of their kits from 2001 movie, hopefully the pricing will drop somewhat compared to the vintage ones being sold on eBay here in the USA. I've been watching the Pan Am shuttle for a long time,
Thank you, Bob, really interesting to read your thoughts on the subject. I think with armour there are so many backed weathering products available they make a lot from the sale of a kit.I'll have to look into the Me - 262. I like 1/32 for small planes and 1/48/72 for bigger planes. TBH 1/72 is a bit small and fiddle but can present a challenge. There're a few people who keep notebooks now watching the channel. (OMG, what have I created, lol) Take it easy and speak soon
Nice highlights on the lesser-known companies. The Moebius 2001 kits BTW are all new molds. Aurora did the Moon Bus and Orion Clipper way back when, but the Moebius kits are new molds. The EVA Pod, Discovery and Space Station have never been done in injected plastic before.
Super thank you for this. TBH putting the SciFi in was a last minute decision and I didn’t have time to do a more in depth analysis. However I know you’re correct as I can remember reading it. Good news is it’s bought it into peoples consciousness and now they’re aware of them. 👍
Gotta admit: seeing the Fine Mold's Zero with a 2-PART CANOPY made my heart sing with joy! No more F****ING masking! Hooray. The single-piece tail looks great too. Likewise the complicated interior.
Great video a huge amount of interesting subjects. Recently i have reading about the Italian armed forces during WWII. Ive also kind of thought they deserved more attention with model manufacturers. Thank you for video
Just as I’ve just ordered a kit and photo etch then clicked on here and now drooling..This is before dancing subscribe chick is on.!. Great video as ever Jim..All the best✌️🥸👍

I'm very much interested in that HMT Olympic in 1/200 scale it looks like it'll be a fun build. Greetings from southern Ontario Canada.
It looks like it would be of a good size as well- Somerset UK 👍
Skills and time 🤣
I love it'
I don't have the skills or time to build all my kits. I'll die before i get through my stash.
I think most of us are in that boat
