* "Dummy!" is easily my favourite in the soundtrack, it's really nice!! * There's no long, extended sections, everything's in short bursts, emphasising the absolute hatred that Mad Dummy has for you, having insulted her family. * Everything repeats three times, reflecting her speech, repeating everything in moments of anger. * It drops to just the bass for a while, slowly building itself back up to the first section, representing how her anger builds. * At the end, it turns to quite little melody, before shifting back into the intro, showing that she has some sense of kindness, her anger is just more central. * I really appreciate the switch version for expanding on her character and theme, but I won't spoil anything down that road!!

The "You'll never ESCAPE from me!" IIRC doesn't appear until she's very close to death, like, you could hit her once with a crit on a good weapon setup and kill her. So fighting her to make that text appear was the correct choice in a roundabout way.
someone mentioned it here, but one of toby fox's main inspirations is touhou, an indie multimedia project with a focus on bullet hell games. the music is unique and known for its very specific trumpet soundfont, and said soundfont is used in undynes theme! i'd love for you to try listening to a sound track from a touhou game sometime, even if just to see toby's inspiration! the tracks are incredible. if i had to recommend two to give a try, i would try out listening to: the venerable ancient battlefield ~ suwa foughten field from touhou 10 (released pre-undertale) and entrusting this world to idols ~ idolatrize world from touhou 17 (released post-undertale) the creator of touhou (named ZUN) also played undertale, and possibly got some inspiration back from toby, haha

As a foreigner who doesn't have much training with English (I can speak it and write it well, but don't go so far as talking or really doing much else with it than listening.) It's probably been mentioned, but the main Waterfall theme is Spear of Justice at a different speed. It's really neat how Toby Fox managed to make a fantastic OST when there's actually about, like, 4 total unique songs in it xD Also I used Spear of Justice on loop as a gym playlist for a bit. Time for my next part of my blind playthrough story. Falling further into the underground felt a bit like getting even more trapped. I didn't expect Mad Dummy when he appeared, but he was a good catharsis from the stress of the previous chase by Undyne, and he was just funny. The fact that he got beaten by Napstablook was the cherry on top, especially since Blooky is a pure cinnamon roll that should never be hurt. Going to Blook's house and laying down with him long enough that the background and music changed was especially fun, and finding the Temmie Village on the screen with the flowers you turn on and off to light up the path was an exercise in insanity (which is fortunate, since I'm crazy!). I even sent Tem to cool leg. But it really was when you get to the fight (and subsequent flight) with Undyne that I was really hit home with the fact that I just didn't ever want to fight any of these characters. Sure, I started out with the mindset of "the game's store page says you can get through without killing, so I guess I'll try that," but ended up becoming "I love each and every one of these characters and if anyone so much as tries to harm them I will bring all the wrath of the gods down upon them." This is an important point to note for a later reaction in a later part of the story. Love watching you have the fun you're having, Marco. Hope that you continue to enjoy your time with Undertale.
Recently I've been rewatching your dark souls videos, and I though it's a crime that you haven't reacted to Sir Alonne theme from DS2. It's one of the most memorables fights not only from ds2 but for the whole trilogy. His theme and story is so good as well as the fight itself, you should really check it out
Looking forward to what comes next! I assume you killed Undyne the first time around? I always prefer the Pacifist route, but honestly, that's one fight where going neutral is kinda worth it... her last moments are something else.

I'm not trying to be picky or anything at all. I still love the video and the idea of a musical let's play. Also, really random but I'm pretty sure the snail race is a Spongebob reference. There was an episode where Gary was put in a snail race and Spongebob over encouraged him in the race causing Gary to blow up.

I think you're not equipping the armor you find. Make sure to equip it, it reduces the damage you take of course. To access your inventory press "c"
