It should be protected, based on Ayodhya case petition should be filed where Lord Ayappa should file petition for Right to Privacy and Right to the Property.

Let's have a dharmic revolution. It should be from within. Not just by talks and follow holy books, but by action.
Ayyappa swami is considered by many astrologers to be the Lord who wld give protection to the people living in Kali Yuga including Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha. We need to give due respect to the Agama sastras and the traditional beliefs followed.
Let's build Dharmic India as it was in pre Mughal era with modernity.

When will janam TV and RSS men stop using the word viswasam
This is the word which became s burden to the Hindu cause
It's a trap into which the Hindus have fallen
In Hinduism the word is sankalpa auspicious mentation
It is used to prevent human mind from having vikalpa inauspicious negative mentation
Pagan people never accept the shit of a word like viswasa belief comes from the Semitic religions
    So sankalpas are innumerable
    Ayappa sankalpa is such one
In ayappa sankalpa itself devotees have the freedom to have many upasankalpas
Ayappa as the confirmed celibate in yogic bhava is such one we can accept it or reject it
If we do not accept the concept we can go to other sankalpa s
There is no meaning in going to shabarimala after destroying the bhava there in accordance with western political correctness which accepts Semitic monotheism as the default norm in matters of religion

That is what the two scholars have discussed herein. The secular court cannot determine the manner of observing the covenant between the deity and his devotees. In his or her residence, a judge can decide whether or not to allow visitors of the opposite gender. This temple is the abode of the deity who shall receive only the devotees who have followed the prescribed austerities, which women of menstruating age cannot observe.

Women in Kerala don't go to temples when they menstruate. No temple needs to come up with a new rule to achieve something that is already achieved! Menstruation was picked up because liberals saw the endless possibilities of distortions and rhetoric.
Physical hygiene is distorted into a 'purity' issue. I hope the intellectuals wash up before going out in the public!

I am admirer of Hindutva ideology, but I am totally in support of women's entry. People who oppose womens entry in temple , citing tradition, are the same people who said crossing seas or eating beef(even forcibly) will lead to expulsion from Hinduism, leading to ppl converting to Islam.
I will refute every single point.
    1) Aiyappa being a brahmachaari - bramhacharya means avoiding marriage or sexual relations or sexual thoughts . It is not about avoiding women. Tell me a single swami/ascetic ever in hinduism, who said I won't meet or bless women?
    2. Yes , 41 days vrata. Fair enough. Women can't complete it due to menstrual cycle? So? Tradition also says women during periods can't enter temple. Should we legislate a law to enforce it? Should we have lady guards outside temple who will check if women have periods?
    3. What about women who cannot have periods due to medical procedures? For example, my mom had her uterus removen by 45, but she couldn't enter Sabarimala till 50. Isn't it a violation of both constitutional and religious right to bar such people?
    4. Does the law ensure all men take 41 day vrata? I know people who do 7-10 days vrata. Some even wear footwear. What will you do in such cases?
    5) Vrata is applicable only for people who carry irumudi kettu and enter through padinetaam padi. Vrata is not needed at all for those entering through side door. Why not allow women there?
    6) If aiyappa doesn't want to see women, why is women entry allowed at Aryankaavu and achenkovil?
Ultimately, there are many unwritten codes in Hinduism. Like not eating non veg before temple entry, avoiding visit during periods. Iis upto people to follow it. No 3rd person or state should have rights to dictate what to do.
People who still blindly oppose womens entry, please wake up. Preventing women from entering temple won't save hinduism.
And, no, I am not a communist, and I voted for BJP in 2019. So don't call me communist and all.

    • @thrinethran2885
      @thrinethran2885 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It is not for you or me or the secular state to decide on changing the age old tradition. It is the faith of the devotees that the terms of the covenant had been fixed by Swamy Ayyappa himself. There is the oft-quoted E. I. Company surveyors' report which attested that two hundred years back, the rule was the same that small girls and old women made the pilgrimage, but not women of menstruating age. Every deity can have a unique persona and individual preferences. Clearly, Ayyappa wanted that his vratha - dhari devotees, who were otherwise householders ,not be distracted by the presence of young women during their visit.

They cited belief not just tradition. Belief is that in this particular temple ayaapa is practicing brahmcharya. There are other Ayappa temples which women can visit if they want to worship him. I don't see the problem. It's not a feminist issue at all.

Identity crisis is the root cause of World, and everything there of. If a person, society loses identity, she or they are bound to be invaded & "transformed" (not by self but by others) for the next in line. This is death principle. Thus immortality is not physical but a Continuity beyond mortal form (Transcending the Form by Self). Hindu is not a Self transformed culture. Sanatana is Self Transforming culture. So, to identify with the DNA is the way out. It's not going back, but forward - Transform in to the New world! Free DNA (Temples), Free RNA (Sanyasis - promote authentic Thinkers by support), Free Heart (Experience of Sanatana / the Immortal & Eternal)...

In my view, Sabarimala case was not correctly argued. Let us consider a few things :
    1. There are temples where feminine dimensions are invoked. In such temples entry of biological males is restricted. Males are not supposed to enter the sanctum of Bhairavi Temples.
    2. Aghama of Sabarimala is said to be not conducive for women of reproductive age. However, such ill effects depend upon several factors including the physical state (like time of menstrual cycle), length of exposure to such Aghamas and so on. So, although not conducive, still one can argue that women can still enter.
    3. However, the most important point that was omitted during argument in SC was the aim of building this temple. There are 6 Ayappan temples and only the Ayappan temple of Sabarimala restricts entry of women of reproductive age. Here the deity is a Naistika Brahmachari (eternal Brahmachari). Ayappan does not care about women. Then why is the house rule restricting entry of women of reproductive age? It is because Ayappan teaches his devotees Brahmacharya. Men are under powerful control of male hormones. Our forefathers knew that it is extremely powerful as it ensures continuum of the species. However, for a good society, a good control over male hormones is also needed. That allows men to experience the subtle. So, through 41 days of rituals, the men practice a better control over sex hormones and Ayappan wants it to be without any distraction. It is to be appreciated here that all men don't have equal levels of control over sexuality. So, the house rule is there to allow men that space for their own enhancement as well as for a better society. So, this is not about gender discrimination as 99% of the temples allow both genders while 1% of the temples restrict either the entry of men or women in accordance with specific purposes.
    4. Menstruation is not the issue as we all recognize that we are born because our mothers have / had menstrual cycles. So, menstruation is worshipped in Kamakhya temple of Assam. Hindus do not shun from recognizing that we have a body and that body has biological needs. But we also understand that it should be at the periphery and should not be our front end. That makes the difference between human and other animals. we search for deeper dimensions of life. That is why in many temples the outside walls have erotic sculptures. You see and acknowledge it as a peripheral issue and rise beyond it and enter the temple to search for deeper dimensions. That is why, there are no erotic sculptures inside.

What for ? Into which caste they will be accomadated? bhramins? kshatriyas? or vaisyas? One simply cannot become a hindu on a fine morning, a caste attachment has to be there, without caste it is impossible to be a hindu. Most likely option is lower castes( avarnas), so that, they too can be socialy, politically, economically and culturally discriminated for thousands of years?

      1. Supreme court are not the authority to decide that
      2. Lord Ayyapa (Ram, Krishna, or or any of the Avataars of Hinduism) isn't your so called 'All-Powerful' sky-dictator in the Abrahamic mould. They have all been people who lived in the world, and subject to the laws of Karma (Causality). They are worshipped as Avataaras as they were 'realized' beings (of course, with colourful narrative spun around their lives as 'ithihaasas')

Abhilash etta ~ Well, You are basically asking an incorrect question, almost akin to 'Who says earth is moving around the sun?' or 'Why not consider earth is flat for moment?' I highly recommend that you read the book " Breaking India " first, which is a culmination of 5 years of exhaustive, painstaking research that details the first ever, so called, 'entry' of christianity in to Dakshina Bharat, especially Kerala & Tamizh Nadu & how the jesuits gradually & steadily came up with a long-term strategy, devised multi-pronged, multi-layered, capricious plans of exploiting the fault-lines of our Samskriti and then use them as means to bring in the gospel to the people through backdoor. I used think much like you do, but that book, helped me connect the dots, shattered the false foundation that I stood on all these years & completely changed my life. So, it is my humble request that you pick up that book, read it from the beginning to the very end. And of course, THEN you're well placed to challenge the logic of that book & perhaps even this video. Nanni! :)

Saanathana Dharma always teaches self discipline. So let who ever say whatever. If we Hindus believe and self impose a regulation of women who are of mesturating age not to enter the temple, who can do what. Also based on the fact that Swami Ayyappa is living in the temple Just like Ram Lulla in case of Ayodhya why not file an appeal in Supreme court again. I think Dr Swamy and his team are right people to really think on these lines technically.

Fundamental error is to group all as "Abrahamic Faiths". In the Catholic and Syro-Malabar Orthodox churches there is tabernacle where God lives. That's why there is red light or candle perpetually lit.. This is under the Latin and Eastern rites churches where transubstantiation takes place during the Eucharistic prayers. Rajiv Malhotra in his younger days should have visited Our Lady of Vailankanni Basilica near Nagapattnam where you would have come to know this as a true fact of holiness and divine nature. Where the Holy Eucharistic is fully exposed in a monstrance, people required to kneel and bow in respect. Otherwise Eucharistic kept in the tabernacle with a red light. Sign that Lord Jesus lives. Rajiv's analysis of a mosque and other churches where there are no such tabernacles he is right. He also needs to be careful and respect the tabernacle of a Jewish Synagogue if any left in India. There might be one in Mumbai. To be checked. Being respectful is a double edge sword. It would be wrong for Rajiv to be judge and jury at the same time.

Facts can be presented partially in a manner to construct a narrative suited to a certain party. I am pasting a section from a Hindu newspaper report on Sabarimala. You can decide what is tradition and what is not
"There was virtually no restriction on women’s entry until the Kerala High Court upheld in 1991 the restriction of women aged between 10 and 50 into the temple. It said that this was in accordance with a usage from “time immemorial”. The court observed that women would be unable to do penance for 41 days due to menstruation. The ban was also based on the belief that Lord Ayyappa, a celibate, would not approve of young women flocking to Sabarimala. There is neither ritual sanctity nor any scientific justification for this stipulation. For the tribal people, menstruation was considered a symbol of fertility. Women and children went to the temple till the sixties. Archival records also show that young, upper-caste women from the Travancore region entered the temple till the eighties. While it is true that they abstained from entering holy places during menstruation, it is equally true that most male pilgrims today are least aware of the tradition of observing penance for 41 days. Many hardly observe the restrictions on meat, alcohol and sex. So, why are traditional observances binding for women alone?"

I wonder why as a religion only hinduism is always subject to discussion and as far a discussion goes its great if there is a desire to learn
But the discussion regarding hinduism and hindus always looks to degrade and wantedly disrespect age old logical and belief based customs and rituals

Ignorant judges on a matter of specific practice have erred in their judgement! Unfortunate that they did not take humility to allow people with knowledge in the matter to deliberate the intricacies of these rituals specific to a temple! So the verdict was badly advised!

These SWAMIJI do not have complete understanding of how blind beliefs like ISLAM and Christianity looks at MURTHI of HINDU God. They think the MURTHI as IDOL - a mere stone !!!!!!!!!!!!
But in Hindu philosophy it is totally different. So why do these SWAMIJIS refer them as IDOLS instead of describing them in their original SANSKRIT term MURTHI ? In this way you are already playing into their narration .

Let us stop beating around the bush. It is time somebody openly said that the king (in this case the judges of the apex court) are naked. The 2018 verdict by the bench of the apex court was unconstitutional being violative of article 26 of the Constitution (Article 26 in The Constitution Of India 1949 26. Freedom to manage religious affairs Subject to public order, morality and health, every religious denomination or any section thereof shall have the right (a) to establish and maintain institutions for religious and charitable purposes;). If the court had to interfere with religious practices and faith based on gender equality it had to correct the bias in article 25(2)(b) (providing for social welfare and reform or the throwing open of Hindu religious institutions of a public character to all classes and sections of Hindus). Worse, it was also improper in that it was a review of another verdict by a five member bench of the same court more than a decade earlier and which had attained finality due to it not being contested then.
For a more elaborate evaluation of the performance of our courts, especially in the context of the Sabarimala verdict, please read my articles ‘Nero fiddled while Rome burnt’, 4 November 2018 at www.vijayvaani.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?aid=4849 and 'Our constitutional fault lines', 23 November 2018 at vijayvaani.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?aid=4868

The women who believe in God would automatically abide and respect the traditions of sabrimala..
The women and men who think that the tradition is somewhat against the new laws of FEMINISM are simply not religious person..They want to put a statement out there in the world landscape to show their empowered status even though some of it is degrading to their own culture and tradition and what makes them indian.....This is not empowerment this is just fascism camouflaged as secularism and gender equality...This whole thing is BS..It's like going to zoolo or Maori tribe in Africa and telling them that since the world has so much developed that now you people should also change your primitive ways of living as it offend our civilizational sophistication....
