That Video Games Show agreed. I honestly thought I wouldn't buy a next gen console until they clearance out. I'm a PC guy. But I bought a Switch and my PC is collecting dust. The Switch has it all I can't put it down.
I'm really thankful that the Switch is region free since each region seems to get their own exclusive physical releases. I live in Europe and while we have gotten a few cool physical exclusives like Syberia and The Count Lucanor there's also a lot of Physical games that the US and Japan/Asia got that we didn't. Some physical games the US got and we didn't include Mega Man 11, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom (my personal 2018 GOTY), Wild Guns Reloaded and many others. The Asian market have even more amazing exclusives (in english) including all the ones mentioned in this video and more such as the Ace Attorney Trilogy, I Am Setsuna, World of Final Fantasy Maxima, Battle Princess Madelyn and much more plus their version of Final Fantasy X/X2 will apparently come on two switch cartridges instead of reducing X2 to a download code like the western versions.

@@mynthon0 Yeah, Capcom have released some great games on the Switch but they have also been very crappy about their physical releases. Even when their games have been released physically half the content has often been relegated to a download code (Mega Man/X Legacy Collection and Resident evil Revelations Collection) hopefully they do a better job with future physical releases.
These games were both fantastic! I loved to play both of them to death especially Child of light. I picked up each casualy whrn I saw the ads and both blew me away!

Okami is a masterpiece. I have digital version and now that I've seen the box art here I defintely want a physical copy. Tengai is one of my favourite shmups.
Just putting it out there, Gal Gun 2 is out in the US and can be found in any store as it got a not limited retail release. I bought it last summer for $40, and it usually goes for $60 brand new.
Oh awesome the first game looks incredible man, I’m a huge fan of classic Capcom, so am definitely going to pick this one up! Also okami is one amazing game, that people still haven’t played!
I went to Japan the day after you put up this video, it was perfect timing and I picked a couple of these and also I am Setsuna and Onimusha warlords which both have English and they each cost me $5-$7 less than digital versions so that was cool. Actually they were all brand new and tax free too so even a better. My favorite switch cart pickup was Okami HD. Also just want add that the Flashback CE was a little bit disappointing since the manual didn't fit in the steel book and the game didn't either. I will keep everything but the cart in the box anyhow so not a big deal, just badly planned and a little annoying.
so glad it's region free. where im living now for work (Taipei) they get games from all over the place (US, JPN, EU, local exclusives...) so it's super helpful

It is pretty awesome and convenient that switch was and also portable since it's the last console I will likely collect for since I don't see physical games game being much of a thing by the next Nintendo console and I stopped collecting at ps3 and 360 for the other 2.

The only imported Japanese Switch related thing I've purchased was the pink/green Joy-Con combo so I could have an all pink Switch and my daughter the all green. It does give me a laugh when her friends try to grab mine off the table thinking it's hers and my daughter rolling her eyes and telling them "no, that's my dad's." lol
The only problem I have with the Switch? The little latch on top to change carts. I'd rather have it not be there, or something that moves inward if you push it in (Megadrive, Master System design).

There is an Rock Man 11 (Mega Man) Collector's for the Switch, that you didn't get in US or Europe. The Game includes english and german language. And there are the rock man X Collection (both 1 & 2) on cartridge available in Japan (with english language). In US you get the first collection on cartridge, the second is download olny. Also check out "Battle Princess Madelyn", there is an japanese cartridge for the Switch available which includes english language.
I bought Disgaea 5 as a Japanese copy since it was cheaper than the US version listings on eBay. Nice thing is that it defaults to English on your system without even having to change it.
Opus Collection will be coming out in the US physical on 4/3. Also look into importing Onimusha: Warlords. There’s a regular version and a limited edition on Playasia.
Your version of Syberia was published in Slavic (and Magyar) region. This region is Poland, Czech, Slovakia and Hungary. I've got Mario + Rabbits from this region and I was supprised that my country (Poland) has its own region. In Europe those triangles means published region (green means UK, blue means Italy, red means France).
The Count Lucanor from Signature Edition Games is my favorite imported game. Such a cool, creepy old school Sierra type adventure game. Soundtrack, booklet and other goodies. Awesome stuff
Great video. From a UK perspective though, if I imported say, Megaman collection, you only get half the games and the rest are Eshop downloads - which you can't redeem in the UK. Worth pointing out some of the pitfalls.

King of Dragons is a great game. I remember going on holidays withy family to Spain, back in 1992 and playing that game in arcade every day for 2 weeks. Finished it on the last day there, with a kid I made friends with from Dublin.
Great video as always! You failed to point that the collector edition Flashback steel case resembles a SNES cart. I noticed it right away, being a huge SNES fan and went to straight to ebay and bought one. Keep up the good work brother and rock on!
Shikhondo Soul Eater is another great one. You can get it on Steam, but PlayAsia has physical versions of the normal and limited edition versions for Switch, and PS4,. It's a pretty fun bullet hell shooter and has some pretty gorgeous artwork.
What a few people fail to understand is, Senran Kagura's story is actually really enjoyable. So are the characters. It's a win-win. Great plot, and great fap material. In closing, Peach Ball is available physically in the west for pre-order. It was announced about 2 weeks ago.
My parents would put me in the Boys and Girls Club during the summers of my elementary years. It was basically day care. They would have select arcade games that we could play and I remember my step mom would only give me 1 quarter a day. That being said the most I could get out of that 1 quarter was by playing King of Dragons. Needless to say, King of Dragons was my summer childhood.
Valiant Hearts is that one game that actually explores WWl. Not many games explore WWl because most of the war was fought in the trenches. Which doesn't make for a very exciting action game. But makes for a pretty good narrative based puzzle game.
You should check out Guilty Gear Anniversary Collection on the Switch... loved this series. Was ecstatic that there was even a switch version, let alone a collection of the older versions of this series. Nuff' said.
I have the physical version of I Am Setsuna (which was a launch title in Japan), and it comes in English. I'd personally love to know about more Japanese titles that come in English. Oh, I think that drum game is also being released outside of Japan, though I don't know if that makes a difference to anybody.
I feel like I'm the only one who's disappointed the pinball game isn't in English. What is this world coming to when we can't understand the plot of our pinball games?!
Yes Child of light was Ubisoft Montreal and Valiant Hearts was Montpellier. These smaller games are the only good stuff that is made by Ubisoft these days... but they are absolutely fantastic. Definetly gems; hidden or not :D
The games are built on what's called the "UbiArt" platform, a developer tool made by Montpellier. Yes, they're technically developed by the giant Ubisoft, but they're very much indie in spirit. Besides, I lump in indies with smaller experiences developed by larger devs, like Capcom's Bionic Commando remake (for example). Again, as in music, the term "indie" will be used in reference to a particular style, as well as something made outside of the big publishing machine.
Gal Gun 2 got a North American release (first print had Wild Guns Reloaded artwork printed on the reverse cover by accident) Flash Back 25th Anniversary got a North American release too, I believe it was an Amazon exclusive Runbow also got a North American release Child of Light / Valiant Hearts is coming as a Best Buy exclusive to America next week
Nothing like an Amazon exclusive collectors edition that will likely come on an envelope or a big box to tumble around in during shipping and likely resulting in the game box getting damaged....my steel book was also dented.

DLC is still region specific. You have to buy the DLC from the same region you got the game, or you’ll get a region error message.

Also the western release was also botch as it did have the warranty of natsume on the first run.

For those looking to get Taiko No Tatsujin: The game recently left Japan and has an English version, so you don’t have to import them.
The Kunio-Kun Collection and Seiken Densetsu Collection are also great buys

Taiko no Tatsujin has around 70 songs ON THE CART, not 20. There's a hefty amount of DLC songs available now as well.

Great video as always! You failed to point that the collector edition Flashback steel case resembles a SNES cart. I noticed it right away, being a huge SNES fan and went to straight to ebay and bought one. Keep up the good work brother and rock on!
He also didn't point out the cartridge and book don't fit in the steel case. Its basically a decoration....not a huge problem, just annoying.
Nice to know that Switch is one of those region free game consoles

Shikhondo Soul Eater is another great one. You can get it on Steam, but PlayAsia has physical versions of the normal and limited edition versions for Switch, and PS4,. It's a pretty fun bullet hell shooter and has some pretty gorgeous artwork.
Gal Gun 2 is in the west as well.

You didn't need to get the import of Gal Gun 2 or Runbow. They're both available in NA.
What a few people fail to understand is, Senran Kagura's story is actually really enjoyable. So are the characters. It's a win-win. Great plot, and great fap material.
In closing, Peach Ball is available physically in the west for pre-order. It was announced about 2 weeks ago.

I've heard of most of these! definitely want the Capcom Belt Action Collection since it only got a physical release in Japan!
My parents would put me in the Boys and Girls Club during the summers of my elementary years. It was basically day care. They would have select arcade games that we could play and I remember my step mom would only give me 1 quarter a day. That being said the most I could get out of that 1 quarter was by playing King of Dragons. Needless to say, King of Dragons was my summer childhood.

It really isn't worth the price. The game is ok, but the two tables are basically the same.
Valiant Hearts is that one game that actually explores WWl. Not many games explore WWl because most of the war was fought in the trenches. Which doesn't make for a very exciting action game. But makes for a pretty good narrative based puzzle game.
You should check out Guilty Gear Anniversary Collection on the Switch... loved this series. Was ecstatic that there was even a switch version, let alone a collection of the older versions of this series. Nuff' said.
Gunbird 1 & 2 are legendary. Great on Dreamcast.

I have the physical version of I Am Setsuna (which was a launch title in Japan), and it comes in English. I'd personally love to know about more Japanese titles that come in English.
Oh, I think that drum game is also being released outside of Japan, though I don't know if that makes a difference to anybody.

Yes Child of light was Ubisoft Montreal and Valiant Hearts was Montpellier.
These smaller games are the only good stuff that is made by Ubisoft these days... but they are absolutely fantastic. Definetly gems; hidden or not :D

Mario Rabbids was a good Ubisoft game..but I'm sure Nintendo all over the QC for that one.
The games are built on what's called the "UbiArt" platform, a developer tool made by Montpellier. Yes, they're technically developed by the giant Ubisoft, but they're very much indie in spirit. Besides, I lump in indies with smaller experiences developed by larger devs, like Capcom's Bionic Commando remake (for example). Again, as in music, the term "indie" will be used in reference to a particular style, as well as something made outside of the big publishing machine.

Nothing like an Amazon exclusive collectors edition that will likely come on an envelope or a big box to tumble around in during shipping and likely resulting in the game box getting damaged....my steel book was also dented.
