    DISCLAIMER
Not every sound test will mimic what a keyboard sounds like in real life. I suggest listening to other sound tests and taking everything with a grain of salt.
I am not a professional, my room is not sound-treated, and a lot of my boom arms are attached to the desk that I am typing on.
I do not do sound tests to be as accurate as possible and portray what a board sounds like perfectly in real life. This is something I do for fun!
I will continue to improve my sound tests with better lighting, video, and audio, but please do not take my videos as professional-grade or “how a keyboard with this config will sound like”.
I hope that using different mics will illustrate that depending on your mic, you may catch higher/lower frequencies better than other mics, and some mics sound naturally “brighter” or “darker” than other mics, even without any filters or any sort of post-processing.

Comment below and let me know how you want me to rebuild the other blue Logitech G710+!
Switches (I will make sure to lube + spring swap them as I always do):
    - Cherry MX Reds
    - Cherry MX Blues (same ones)
    - KTT Roses
    - Frankenswitch (Cherry MX top, UHMWPE MM stems, bottoms)
    - Gat Raws
    - Another switch (let me know)
    Mods:
    - Polyfill
    - Zip-and-fit/shelf liner
    - Kilmat
    - Any others (let me know)
    Overall Sound:
    - low pitched and more quiet/muted
    - high pitched and loud

Could try jailhouse modding the stock Blues (o-ring method is the easiest to source and cheap) + adding 1.2mm ball bearings for shorter travel + extra thock, and, of course, tape mod and foam would help. (I've only done zip and fit so idk if others would work better).

@@nothlur Very intriguing, thanks for the ideas!

Sounds much cleaner afterwards! Why does it feel bad to put nice switches in this board? Let’s go KTT roses with polyfill

Haha, turns out, it can be kinda fun to try and revive our old gamer boards! Not that I did the best with this one (or the second one), but the process itself was pretty fun

The Heracles 80 video by :3ildcat is one of my favorite sounding boards. I love that poppy, marbly sound. If you can replicate that and then go crazy with the sound tests, I’d be in heaven.

Idk, I have mixed feelings about the finished results. It sounds better, definetly, but now you can really hear the lackluster quality to an extreme degree. It is just very weird for some reason

For sure. Especially since the browns were suuuper broken in to the point where perhaps a spring swap and lubing them (as well as lubing the stock stabs of course) and then installing them straight back into the board might've even resulted in a much better sound than the emogogo switches.
I actually have plans for the browns in another board, hence why I didn't install them back haha (definitely my most broken in switch of all-time since I had been typing on that board for 5+ years).
I think when we get to modding and picking the switches for the MX Blues board, leaning into a foamy sound signature may be a better option versus simply swapping the switches like i did on the browns board
