Oh yeah I was going to ask you why is it so hard to find Simichrome in California? (Well at least in my town.) I ordered it and had to be refunded because it couldn't be shipped 🤷♀️. I was wondering if you know why it's so hard to get? I did end up getting my hands on some 🤭.
I didnt know it was hard to find. I ordered mine online. I wonder why they couldnt ship it to yr town,thats strange. But then again with the way the world has been the past yr ,who knows anymore. Lol! Glad u got it anyway.
Are you positive it’s Bakelite when it turns yellow? I sold a bracelet that tested using Simichrome’ it turned yellow. The person that bought it sent it back asking for a refund saying it’s Fakelite.
With my research and experiance it turns yellow. Your buyer was mistaken. Another way to check if you have a piece of authentic bakelite is If you create friction by rubbing the piece of bakelite to create heat , it should smell like formaldehyde. Hope this helps.

Is lucite only clear? I thought it also came in many colors
Lucite can be opague,clear and semi transparent. Contemporary lucite comes in solid colors
