@usurparemagnus Not only that. G-man the Roman Archetype. Sanguinius is the Vampire (Dracula/Alucard). Russ if the Beowulf archetype. The Lion is the Arthurian archetype. Etc etc etc. They all have a source material in the psyches of man, and those legends created the warp presences that the Emperor used.
Love it and completely agree. On a side note, Ahrimans strengths have always been the esoteric. And yes, we've seen him lose melee fights, but mostly to experts like Sanakht (who beat Lucius). But in the Thousand Sons novel he chastised his peers, saying, "One day we'll have to fight as mere Astartes," so I'm sure he keeps his martial skills honed. (At least as much as possible when you wield a shephards crook lmao😂
Nah, this all tracks Typhus in Dark Imperium: Plague War got pushed back and technically "beaten" by a mixture of Nova Marine terminators and Grey Knights. With the Grey Knights keeping the worst of the warp born diseases from harming anyone fighting typhus until he used his psychic bullshittery. Ahirman is as powerful as at least like 10 unnamed Grey Knights so it makes sense.
Ahriman is the G.O.A.T. One of the best characters pre/heresy and still getting up to absolute shenanigans. I always thought Lucius being a punching bag was super fitting, in all the disgusting ways you can imagine. Typed this out towards the intros for the champions, 100% agree obviously. All is dust.
Heres how the 4 way battle would go. 3 warriors enter an arena. Notice I said 3 and not 4. Kharn, who refuses to put down his axes, cant open the door and gets pissed and goes the opposite direction. Ahriman quickly pulls out a book of spells but quickly realizes its the wrong book. Tzeentch swapped his spellbook for a cookbook because it would be really funny. He claims he'll be "right back". Lucius leaps at Typhus and unleashes a flurry of strikes but all they do is tickle Typhus' fat belly. In the melee, Lucius accidently swallows one of the flies following Typhus and begins to choke. Typhus attempts the heimlich maneuver but accidently snaps Lucius spine which paralyzes him. Typhus wins but hes so fat he actually couldnt see what was going on so he has no idea there even was a fight. Kharn found the door operator and killed him. Arhiman actually enjoyed the cookbook and started vox channel about cooking. Lucius was wheelchair bound and everyone actually pittied him until it turns out he was faking it the whole time.

Kharn has some protection against direct pysker abilities, but that wouldnt stop Ahriman from just throwing an entire baneblade or some shit at his forehead
Little thing to potentially make you hate Lucius even more, and spoilers for The Crimson King. Lucius is the reason that the Rubric of Ahriman went wrong, when he told a Thousand Sons Sorcerer named Hathor Ma'at to alter the spell in the book of Magnus in return for the knowledge of how to transfer his mutations onto human serfs, effectively keeping the flesh change from overtaking him.
I am agree with your comparisons, about who wins is well described but of course depends of the nature of the scenario and many other things as well. Anyways pretty well described these characters are really well written each of them and like them all , but my favorite are Arhiman because he knows a lot and he can be used to bring context as was did in the last novels. Also his background and power is amazingly useful anytime.
You know a lot of the time when you do these things I can't agree but this time I think you nailed it I put them into tiers with kharn and Ahriman tier 1 typhus tier 2 and Lucius tier 14
I figure a fight involving Lucious and Arhiman results in somehow Arhiman sending Lucious to the Labyrinth of Tzeench and being like "I'm not falling for your reincarnation bullshit, and Tzeench has far too much intrest it me to just let the Labrynth kill you, so I may as well use what will likely be my far worse fate than killing you."
Two Giga Chads duking it out at the end sounds about right haha. Essentially just a huge version of Red vs Blue. Pretty much how I would guess it would/could go. Kharn would plow through both Lucius and Typhus. Ahriman would do the same but when its down Ahriman and Kharn, this is a genuine toss up as either side could legitimately win. I will say I like both Ahriman and Kharn a whole lot more then the other two. When they show up its just a fun time reading them.
One thing about Lucius is that the reason he dies so much is because he has to make every single battle a performance and kill his enemy in the most spectacular way possible to entertain Slaanesh and because he just loves fighting and dragging fights out for the experience of it which can get him killed quite a lot from carelessness. It's been shown before that at least in 40k when he's fighting to win he's by far one of the most skilled fighters in the galaxy and definitely a better duellist than Kharn and many other Imperial Champions. I kind of like Lucius' arrogant, prideful personality and as a character I don't think you're supposed to take him seriously as he himself hardly takes anything in the galaxy seriously since it's just one big adventure for him.
True, by giving the writters a guy that can be "killed at will" they make him look weak. On top of this, in the tabletop game he never was quite optimal as a model. Yet, once you read the books (especially in40k), you realize how insane Lucius is. There are some fucked up situations in wich the CSM are like "omg we can't win this !Oh...wait ! Lucius has his sword, let's charge this fortress ! we are 11+Lucius, we like those odds."
Eh, I don't think anynone in the setting besides a Primarch and a couple of Custodians can win against Kharn in melee. The man could tear a hive tyrant to pieces in less than a minute
@@claytonthegrubkiller6430 Well, Sigismund managed to do it. Therefore Sevatar would have had a chance to beat him too. Abaddon could, most certainly, beat him. I wouldn't be surprised to see Marneus Calgar beat Khârn, since he gave Abaddon some hard time. I wouldn't even be surprised to have some Blood Angels or Space wolves able to do the same. Nassir Amit fought in a Sanguis Extremis dual against Kharn, and it was a draw. I won't mention Valdor for obvious reasons but I'm pretty sure that more than a couple of Custodes would have a decent chance. Sadly Hive tyrants are somewhat like the Avatar of Khaine on that matter, they are terrifying, indeed. Yet almost every character managed to beat one or the other at some point. The autors don't give them justice. And remember, even in the books, we know that these 4 champions are monsters, blessed by the four and famous. Yet they might not even be the best chaos champions. (except Typhus for Nurgle since he is his official Herald, even Mortarion can't really command him.) Khârn is a beast, yes, among the bests, true. But don't overestimate the guy too much. I maintain : Lucius have a decent chance to win against Khârn. Lucius have basically spent the last 10k years almost exclusively chasing the most powerfull opponents he could find like a maniac, while Khârn jumped from a battlefield to another. Should they meet in a dual, I seriously doubt the fight would be as one sided as you suggest.
How do I imagine this fight going? Ahriman laughs as he desintergrate Typhos armour. Then he throws Typhos at Kharn and Lucius killing both of them with Typhos stench. Should Typhos still be standing after being used as a wreckingball you can just keep swinging until all of his flies has been swatted.
Two quick points that should get a mention. Ahriman would definitely best Typhus as a sorceror because he knows a fuck ton of Nurgle sorcery, i think due to his staff somehow absorbing the knowledge of a nurgle sorceror. Kharn though i think actively negates sorcery to an extent rather than just being resistant to it. Much as i love Ahriman, Kharn may stand a better chance than initially thought.
I'm a Thousand Sons player and even I can see how blind Magnus and Ahriman can be. Maybe he'll find the Black Library one day or find the power Yvraine teased him with and brought a few Rubric marines back to true life. Or he'll keep fucking up as GW( and Tzeentch ) seems to want to keep screwing them.
Typhus did get badly wounded on the nova marines space station (Galatan) by a grey night champion and had to retreat. He had previously killed the nova marines chapter master
People tend to forget that Khârn actually have a gun. A Plasma gun he usualy uses when he is still out of melee range of his enemies. I think in the Ahriman vs Kharn duel, Khârn would just keep fire Plasma at Ahriman's disc until the fucker fell off his his protection fails and he is forced to the ground to wich he would be butchered.
Isn't Ahriman also one of the only psykers that can destroy souls with his power? I remember hearing that, and typically thats something that requires a shitton of psychic might to be able to pull off as in lore there haven't been many who can do it.
After watching The Exodite animated series, I'm curious about Tau Navy. Please make a video about them, their strategy and battles they fought against Imperium Navy.
I see Kharn, Typhus and Ahriman being sorta rock-paper-scissor. Kharn beats Ahriman. Ahriman is flying backwards sooner or later he's gonna hit a lamp post or get tangled in laundry at which point Kharn will be pounding him into putty. Typhus is tough enough to weather the storm that is a raging Kharn until he runs out of steam. Typhus wins by TKO. Ahriman is both faster and a stronger ranged combatant than Typhus so he just dictates the engagement every step of the way. And in this grand rock-paper-scissor arrangement compared to everybody else Lucius is a mushroom.
Doesn’t Typhus also have like a weird warp bug colony inside him that attack people for him as well as being the only chaos champion in Terminator plate, I think he’s got a good chance at taking it though that depends on if the warp bugs attacks count as psychic attacks, and also if Ahriman has the power to disintegrate Typhus or not
I love your videos Majorkill and this one made my day by your insane ability to get me hyped for all these legendary characters in 40k. I hope you have a great day and Lucius the eternal is the greatest to ever exist 👍
I mean they are all stupidly powerful, im not sure how normal Imperial soldiers and even regular space marines are going to take them down even without plot armor -Lucious and his stupid losing ability -Kharn being evil immortal doomguy -Typhus who controls a trillion flies and demonic plagues that turn entire planets to zombies while being tanky AF -OR Mr Ahriman the guy who soloed an entire eldar strike force by turning half of them harmless animals with a snap of his finger and then killing them and the using lightning bolts/fire/all sorts of magic bs to kill the other half I think they would win a large portion of death battles with characters from other universes
I love typhus and kharn but the powers of the emperor n malcador really shows us that sorcery is extremely overpowered n he is probably the most powerful because of it, being able to destroy a planet and change reality through the warp is insane.
Ahriman, for sure. From everything I've read about the others, Typhus seems like he could be second cause he seemed really strong in the Dark Imperium series.
I personally LOVE Lucius, he is hilarious and he is constantly trying to find his way to the spotlight and finding out he's just the most powerful pawn around.

Ahriman then says to let Ctesias go, leave us alone and answer a question. Be’lakor begrudgingly agrees, as ahriman could, with the help of the other sorcerers there and dire cost to all involved, bind be'lakor to ctesias and trap him.
@@kelakogreenaddict1888 Damn, threatening to trap the first Daemon Prince to keep one of his brothers from falling is really cool.
Hey Majorkill, I think a vid on the different type of chaos corrupted space marines would be cool. (Noise marines, Khorne berserkers, Plague marines etc). Maybe a similar "which is the most powerful" style video?

Noise Marines would have an edge - how are you supposed to dodge or block constant waves of destructive sound?
@@indrickboreale7381 I feel similar about plague marines. Bits I've read about regular humans dealing with them are completely horrifying, just a massive aura of miasma that makes you retch and feel like you're bleeding from every orifice.

Sharrowkyn stomping Lucius is definitely in my top 10 Horus Heresy moments.
Raven Guard was my favourite legion so knowing an awesome swordsman was out there clapping cheeks was great
Lucius has so many tramp-stamps plastered all over his body ahahaha
Hard to gauge, personally I feel Ahriman is packing the most power. Although Lucious’s gimmick is stupidly OP.
Ahriman kills Lucious. Lucious takes over Ahriman. Tcheench and Slaanesh go to court over custody.
i think that the other 3 champions have killed so much shit to the point that they won't get satisfaction from killing Lucius. Kharn would probably when he was still "normal" but the guy has since turned to the very definition of "killing machine" that the only thing that could satisfy him is killing the biggest psychers out there like Magnus and the Emperor

Video idea: which of the stealth legions is the best? Night Lords, Ravenguard, and Alpha legion are all stealthy but in different ways. So in a three way war who comes out on top?
Alpha Legion pretending to be Ravenguard attacking Nightlords while also pretending to be Nightlords and attacking Alpha Legion while also pretending to be Alpha Legion to attack Alpha Legion.
Probably Raven Guard. They would be the most pragmatic about it.
The Alpha Legion would hurt themselves from trying to act smart, the Nightlords are all insane, Raven Guard would actually be coordinated and adapt to changing tactics.
Video idea, the warp entities used to create the primarchs were Heroic Archetypes from Old Earth legends.
Bravo👏👏👏👏
Are you saying gulliman is Julius Caesar/Augustus/Trajan getting another chance at playing intergalactic Rome 😂 I’m so down with that idea
@usurparemagnus Not only that. G-man the Roman Archetype. Sanguinius is the Vampire (Dracula/Alucard). Russ if the Beowulf archetype. The Lion is the Arthurian archetype. Vulkan is the Promethius archetype. Angron is the Templar Crusader archetype. Alpharius/Omegon were the Faceless Doppleganger. Etc etc etc. They all have a source material in the psyches of man, and those legends created the warp presences that the Emperor used.
I very much like this headcannon, bravo brother.
Thats actually the best theory Ive ever heard
Love it and completely agree.
On a side note, Ahrimans strengths have always been the esoteric. And yes, we've seen him lose melee fights, but mostly to experts like Sanakht (who beat Lucius). But in the Thousand Sons novel he chastised his peers, saying, "One day we'll have to fight as mere Astartes," so I'm sure he keeps his martial skills honed. (At least as much as possible when you wield a shephards crook lmao😂
Nah, this all tracks
Typhus in Dark Imperium: Plague War got pushed back and technically "beaten" by a mixture of Nova Marine terminators and Grey Knights. With the Grey Knights keeping the worst of the warp born diseases from harming anyone fighting typhus until he used his psychic bullshittery.
Ahirman is as powerful as at least like 10 unnamed Grey Knights so it makes sense.
My bets on ahraman. Don't know how to spell it but it's tzeench it probably changes every few minutes
His feats are crazy. I don't really see anyone beating him.
The image of Kharn running after Ahriman round and round an arena trying to catch him is fucking hilarious
Actually kharn could just use an enhanced jetpack to reach ahriman
Then once he's close to ahriman, we know the next scene
Ahriman is the G.O.A.T. One of the best characters pre/heresy and still getting up to absolute shenanigans. I always thought Lucius being a punching bag was super fitting, in all the disgusting ways you can imagine.
Typed this out towards the intros for the champions, 100% agree obviously. All is dust.
Majorkill, can you please do a tier list on the performance of each primarch during the Horus Heresy
10/10
We know about the Horus Heresy and the Badab war, but are there any more civil wars? Did loyalists ever fight other loyalists on other occasions? Or does infighting happen quite often? Interesting topic I think
Goge Vandire's Reign of Blood was kinda
The Mechanicus had a civil war in M35.
Kronus Crusade and Kauravan Crusade (From Dawn of War games, which are canon and so are Blood Ravens), where Space Marines, Sisters of Battle (Kaurava system only) and Imperial Guard fought against each other

The lion since at the time they had a very wide arsenal during the heresy. Straight up illegal stuff. But in a duel my money is on sangy

Ahriman could honeslty have a kind of sick redemption arc. His whole thing is “fuck Tzeentch” and he wants to redeem his legion and take back the rubric. I know it’s far fetched, but there could be something like guilliman or lion, or fuck even the emperors voice impacting Ahriman and he fucks up magnus.
Ahriman could also turn the ground in quick sand, make the gravity too strong or too weak for Kharn to move, jamm his weapons and it can also boost his strenght and durability to is a master biomancer and also have divination and diviners are described in the canonn as "unbeatable in combat" for obvious reasons how Konrad Curst was also having divination.
I don’t think it would work. Khorne’s blessing don’t just protect spell cast against you, they also stop magic around you generally, to keep your fights fair. So I think any magic against him just wouldn’t work.

good lordy this new lighting setup is like a 100x better. nice work majorkill!
It was him and kairos tbf
To be a Lucius fan is to be in a constant state of pain.
Isn't that not slannesh in a nutshell
I am agree with your comparisons, about who wins is well described but of course depends of the nature of the scenario and many other things as well. Anyways pretty well described these characters are really well written each of them and like them all , but my favorite are Arhiman because he knows a lot and he can be used to bring context as was did in the last novels. Also his background and power is amazingly useful anytime.
You know a lot of the time when you do these things I can't agree but this time I think you nailed it
I put them into tiers with kharn and Ahriman tier 1 typhus tier 2 and Lucius tier 14
What would happen if the old heros and villains were replaced, not all at once but over time, would the setting still be just as good?
I figure a fight involving Lucious and Arhiman results in somehow Arhiman sending Lucious to the Labyrinth of Tzeench and being like "I'm not falling for your reincarnation bullshit, and Tzeench has far too much intrest it me to just let the Labrynth kill you, so I may as well use what will likely be my far worse fate than killing you."
Hey MajorKill, so when are making a video about the centurion power armor and it's variants?

Two Giga Chads duking it out at the end sounds about right haha.
Essentially just a huge version of Red vs Blue.
Pretty much how I would guess it would/could go. Kharn would plow through both Lucius and Typhus. Ahriman would do the same but when its down Ahriman and Kharn, this is a genuine toss up as either side could legitimately win.
I will say I like both Ahriman and Kharn a whole lot more then the other two. When they show up its just a fun time reading them.
Nothing more enjoyable than a character that loves themselves too much.
@@claytonthegrubkiller6430
Well, Sigismund managed to do it.
(except Typhus for Nurgle since he is his official Herald, even Mortarion can't really command him.)
Khârn is a beast, yes, among the bests, true.
Increase the volume a bit and add some more overall and front lit light to the setup. Great work, keep it up, you bamf
Crack me up every time I watch Ur vids man started getting into Warhammer recently so find Ur vids helpful keep the good work up geeza
Nice video idea, never getting tired of a good ol' "Fuck Lucius"! 😎
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULLTHRONE!!!
Best part of Lucius’s story was getting his nose broken by loken
Two quick points that should get a mention. Ahriman would definitely best Typhus as a sorceror because he knows a fuck ton of Nurgle sorcery, i think due to his staff somehow absorbing the knowledge of a nurgle sorceror.
Kharn though i think actively negates sorcery to an extent rather than just being resistant to it. Much as i love Ahriman, Kharn may stand a better chance than initially thought.
Kharn would only notice his kill count go up by one when he mulches Lucius.
5:48 reminds me of:
"Is guilliman the greatest primarch?"
"He isn´t even the greatest Ultramarine"
So all we need is a necron warrior to kill Lucius...?
Video idea: Blood Pact explained.
Why is abbadon not considered a champion? Is it because he has all 4 blessings?
How come no one ever mentions Saul Tarvitz when talking about Lucius most satisfying defeats. It’s one of my favorite moments of the entire heresy.
Man i just know when majorkill uploads it's gonne be a great fkn time
Doesn’t Typhus also have like a weird warp bug colony inside him that attack people for him as well as being the only chaos champion in Terminator plate, I think he’s got a good chance at taking it though that depends on if the warp bugs attacks count as psychic attacks, and also if Ahriman has the power to disintegrate Typhus or not
I love your videos Majorkill and this one made my day by your insane ability to get me hyped for all these legendary characters in 40k. I hope you have a great day and Lucius the eternal is the greatest to ever exist 👍
God damn the lighting has gotten so much better its insane
I mean they are all stupidly powerful, im not sure how normal Imperial soldiers and even regular space marines are going to take them down even without plot armor
-Lucious and his stupid losing ability
-Kharn being evil immortal doomguy
-Typhus who controls a trillion flies and demonic plagues that turn entire planets to zombies while being tanky AF
-OR Mr Ahriman the guy who soloed an entire eldar strike force by turning half of them harmless animals with a snap of his finger and then killing them and the using lightning bolts/fire/all sorts of magic bs to kill the other half
I think they would win a large portion of death battles with characters from other universes
I love typhus and kharn but the powers of the emperor n malcador really shows us that sorcery is extremely overpowered n he is probably the most powerful because of it, being able to destroy a planet and change reality through the warp is insane.
Agreed. Kind of funny that the list of favourites is the same as the rankings in a duel.
