I love the song. I should not mention it, but Amy Lee's voice, although pretty and perfectly on tune, is too delicate. She is overwhelmed by her own piano playing, and the band is even more dominating. Whet we need here is a Grace Slick or Patsy Cline to really sing this.

I loved that moment when Amy playing the piano and the crowd just screamed their hearts out loud and she whisphered "wow.." like she still does not realize how great of an artist she is!
Interestingly, when I saw them live a while before this recording was made, she struggled with this song. This setup however really works, and the song is beautifull. The ever humble Amy, seen looking back at her band at around 1.33 on the video can be seen looking back an mouthing “WOW”. Seems she underestimated how much her music and lyrics touch us all.
My best friend was killed in a traumatic car accident at 19 on April 7, 2004. This song came out in Dec 2003, but the first time I heard it was in the weeks after she passed. She was a fan of Evanescence and she had this album, but I had not heard it before. The beauty of Amy’s voice and the power of the lyrics found me at the exact moment I needed them. ❤

Amy's voice is like coming from the depths of the deepest darkest part of the underworld slowly rising to the top and opening the heavenly gates revealing a spectacle of lights and colors bursting with life.
Amy has such a way of conveying sooo much emotion through not only her performance on the piano, not just with her singing, but the full on Feeling behind it all. This song reached so many people and you can see it on some of the fans faces, singing along to every word and pain that they've carried with them, coming out during the full-band breakdown. Thank god we have music. At some point in all of our lives, it's really helped a lot of us through heavy times. Keep your head up, know your worth. You matter & you belong here.
Mohammad is right. I lost my dad to suicide when I was just at the ripe age of 11 years old. I’m 19 now. Being older doesn’t make you exclusive to loss and pain.
Such a powerful song for anyone.... I can think of no other elation than to hear the fans sing the absolute joy of one of your songs in the fullest throats. A truly iconic song. Thanks, Amy.
I went to the same tour and yes she was amazing. Remember she came out to sing with her then boyfriend Shaun to sing Broken. OMG, she was amazing, see when she sat on that piano, you get goosebumps
I came here tonight in remembrance of my deceased wife. She passed away on March 16th of 2017 and ever so often I need to be reminded of her and this is one of the songs she loved so very well. HEATHER YOU'RE ALWAYS LOVED NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!! I miss you so damn bad
Ramsey Daugherty I have cancer (multiple myeloma) and will die. I will leave my partner behind. I hope he will listen to a song and remember me, just as you remember your Heather.
I've had the privilege of seeing them perform this song live in New Zealand. It was pitch black except her and the piano, and when the band came in and the stage lit up, you could feel it under your feet and you could feel it in your soul. Gives me goosebumps every time I think about it
My gosh she is so talented ! Such a beautiful, angelic, peaceful, yet powerful voice she naturally has, is out of this world! I felt this all the way to my soul ! AMAZING!
The most powerful and comfortable voice in female singers! Amy I hope there is never an end to hearing you sing, hopefully I can experience live and in person! Beautiful vocalist, and a kind heart. God bless you Amy! Oh, and the band evanescence is good as well lol.
One of the best ballads ever created, if not the best. The lyrics with a meaning sang by an angelic voice. Also respect to Amy letting the crowd sing by themselves
Hah, I'm not sure if you're trying to do one on me, or you're just that, out of reach, stupid! When Vevo uploaded the video, they've multisampled and altered with the audio for it to sound more clean and cutthrough.
I'm here in march 2020 when the deadly virus COVID-19 is sweeping the UK and many many parts of our beautiful world. I work right on the frontline in the fight against it and thank you Amy as a tribute to everyone who have lost family members, children, parents, husbands and wives through this. This song keeps us going thank you
Mike, are you OK now after six months? I have a relative on the front line, some others barely made it and whatnot. And we have had it nowhere near as bad as you did, except for that infamous June/July strain. Hope you are OK.
Isn't it wonderful seeing people with lighters instead of fucking cellphones in the video? And people who are actually ENJOYING the concert and singing along, as opposed to seeing all the audience recording with their phone camera. Sweet 2004, when life was still normal in so many ways. I am to be a Millennial that was born early enough to have enjoyed the end of the 90's and the beginning of the 2000's in the music industry.
Couldn't agree more - cell phones every where - such a a powerful song and people now would spend so much time trying to record it, they wouldn't get lost in it.................. My .02 cents :)

me too
Me too
Best Song ever! ❤️❤️❤️
@@niijaa7 I love this song so much it means so much to me it reminds me of Blanca I am really missing her ...
Me, too! Her voice is so beautiful!
Her voice is so hauntingly beautiful 😭❤
Amy has such a way of conveying sooo much emotion through not only her performance on the piano, not just with her singing, but the full on Feeling behind it all. This song reached so many people and you can see it on some of the fans faces, singing along to every word and pain that they've carried with them, coming out during the full-band breakdown. Thank god we have music. At some point in all of our lives, it's really helped a lot of us through heavy times. Keep your head up, know your worth. You matter & you belong here.
Absolutely beautiful. This song inspired a playlist for only music you belt out as loud as humanly possible. 100%
One of the only songs that you can listen too a million times and still get chills like it's the first time u heard it!
Amy's voice melts my heart
Her vocal range and voice control is a symphony of sweeping perfection ❤️❤️❤️
When the rest of the band joins in….chills!! So powerful!
Dope
2022 and still here listening..
This song will be forever!
First time listening to Amy Lee , and being an empath I'm in tears
Foda aqui de manaus curtindo
Same!
I recommend listening to "Good Enough", it's a different kind of ballad but her chord progressions are beautiful
Always when I hear crying since childhood
So many young people in the crowd that had no idea how these lyrics would effect them once they got older. Once they experienced loss.
some of them have already experienced loss. Loss and tragedy are sadly not tied with age.
Wonder what the writer was going through. He wrote a truly haunting song
Mohammad is right. I lost my dad to suicide when I was just at the ripe age of 11 years old. I’m 19 now. Being older doesn’t make you exclusive to loss and pain.
@@queen_dawg I wish you the best in your life. Much strength, precious.
Being young does not shield you from loss. Everyone can relate to the feeling of loss and sadness in some form.
Such a powerful song for anyone.... I lost my mother when I was only 12 due to cardiac arrest, every time I here this song I think of her and how she did all of these things.. if anybody has lost a closed loved one you will all understand how deep of a meaning this song has.. thank u Amy for coming out with such a beautiful song.. it may be 2017 but she needs a lot of credit for this song❤️
I can think of no other elation than to hear the fans sing the absolute joy of one of your songs in the fullest throats.
A truly iconic song.
Thanks, Amy.
I miss talented people like this. I can only imagine how amazing this show was.
My tunnel ends when I'm 27. I hope I can live longer than that. God bless to all our souls.
@@gigielliot834 I certainly hope so. A day hasn't passed where I haven't thought of my sweet Heather
This song so reminds me of my mom and stepdad, when my mom passed. That was 2003 and I still can't make it through this song without sobbing.
I’m sorry for your loss, stay strong love. 💙
Amy Lee's voice is the closest thing to perfection that I know.
Brendon Urie is another.
Simone Simons also makes it to the short list.
She's a national treasure!!
@@joehynes5452 what are you smoking. A national treasure.
This is the music pitch perfect needed
I've had the privilege of seeing them perform this song live in New Zealand. It was pitch black except her and the piano, and when the band came in and the stage lit up, you could feel it under your feet and you could feel it in your soul. Gives me goosebumps every time I think about it
My gosh she is so talented ! Such a beautiful, angelic, peaceful, yet powerful voice she naturally has, is out of this world! I felt this all the way to my soul ! AMAZING!
True
I got the chills when the crowd started singing!
me too, awesome crowd
Already got chills from the moment she started playing. Amazing song.

me to and i love her reaction..its wow..
Good Lord!!! I've been listening to Evanescence from jump, but Amy's voice still gives me goosebumps!!!
she sounds just like her recorded song even in a live performance. thats how uk shes actually a good singer and doesnt autotune
wth are you saying! she's even better in live versions than in recorded! :D
VEVO edit the shit out of videos like this - making them more clear.
Morten Mighty yeah because VEVO existed back in 2004 right... smh
Hah, I'm not sure if you're trying to do one on me, or you're just that, out of reach, stupid! When Vevo uploaded the video, they've multisampled and altered with the audio for it to sound more clean and cutthrough.
I have got the single, since 2003, with a live version and it plays as good as this !
Pure talent no auto tune just pure power ❤
I'm here in march 2020 when the deadly virus COVID-19 is sweeping the UK and many many parts of our beautiful world. I work right on the frontline in the fight against it and thank you Amy as a tribute to everyone who have lost family members, children, parents, husbands and wives through this. This song keeps us going thank you
let's stay strong 🙌🏼
Thanks for your service!
Covid-19 is fake
@@beautifulbliss5883 it does exist but it isn't as deadly as they are making it to be.
Mike, are you OK now after six months? I have a relative on the front line, some others barely made it and whatnot. And we have had it nowhere near as bad as you did, except for that infamous June/July strain. Hope you are OK.
R.I.P. for the pig that got slaughtered at 1:36
This comment made my day😂😂😂😂
+PinkEnder 101 omg my day too
I cant breath XD XD XD XD XD XD
same here :D
+Harun Karabulut LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
+Harun Karabulut HAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA IM DEAD
Imagine that feeling of thousands singing your words. God the energy would have been so unbelievable.
Beautiful voice on the album and live!
1:32 is fun: She discreetly mouths "wow!" to her band, cause even she's amazed at the audience response.
mano a mano excellently spotted, lovely moment! 😘
Lol spot on good call u rock
mano a mano so sharp man.. haha
Она-Легенда...Уважаю до глубины души.Спасибо за мою молодость, дискотеки....Эванесенс
I feel you. and im just 15
Good thing they're putting those fancy phone camera disruptors on the stage.
I agree with you, totally right about old times, the bad is time is passing so fast. When we see....boom! these days are not good as before. :/
Couldn't agree more - cell phones every where - such a a powerful song and people now would spend so much time trying to record it, they wouldn't get lost in it.................. My .02 cents :)
that's right! why spend time recording something which maybe never may saw? we need just live!
My Immortal will always be immortal. This amazingly beautiful masterpiece came out this day and month in 2004. It will continue to live in the hearts and minds of music connoisseurs worldwide for the next twenty years and beyond!
She has one of the most perfect and haunting voices I've ever heard.
Tarja have much better voice.
MEXEROS X Tarja is good , really good . But I still prefer Amy . I don't like Tajra's accent . I know that she is Finnish , but still .
OMG!!! When the audience start singing at 0:55 with her is soooo AWESOME and BEAUTIFUL they all hit the same tune, best live performance and crowd ever 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My god, her voice has actually gotten better with time.
But this is from 2004
Высшее исполнение, поклон группе. Создали эталон... Спасибо.
No phones anywhere. Just enjoying it.
you can't blame ppl for wanting to have something to remember the moment
Oh please... Just put that fuckin phone down and let everyone enjoy the view for which they paid as you did.
cyn salas i feel bad for the people who doesn’t enjoy the moment in real life,
It’s like watching ed sheeran singing thinking out loud with your bae wanting to dance besides and u say FUCK UUFFF
@@cynthiasalas9892 hearing and enjoying this live is worth remembering than filming it and watching it over your phone.what do you want to choose your memory or your phone's memory of this live performance.
@@jinkonic9777 for you sweetie, not every person is the same we all different some ppl want to record and some ppl want to see the show there's nothing wrong w neither of both
Back when music touches ur soul
so beautiful making me cry with the audience singing
i know, wish i had this natural voice
Best singers are always better live than a recording album. So many details combined. Bravo 🙌
the most beautiful song in the world .
Lucas Medeiros 1000% agree with you....awesomeeee song....
