Thanks for watching guys just a reminder that this structure is in context with clients who do not have a lot of weight or fat to lose, they might be heading towards that 6 pack or flat tummy area. But for everyone watching this the point is to understand that in 99% of cases it will take longer than we hope or expect and that's fine so don't get frustrated.

There are three components to fat reduction - exercise, diet, and motivation.
One plan I found which succeeds in merging these is the Triple trim formula (google it if you're interested) definately the most helpful diet i've seen.
Check out the before and after photos and great testimonials.

From what I’ve learned over the years, different methods work better or worse for different people. But there are some methods that will work for everybody it’s just about consistency and honesty with yourself

just watched the video and have to say - it bought home a few truths for sure.
I am a shift worker, and whilst I have managed to make changes and lose around 46lbs since july last year, Im now on a plateau - shifting that body fat that realllllly doesnt want to go. Having to tighten up on the clean food with a family that isnt too bothered about consuming whatever they want, and neither are too fussed about training.
Thanks for re-enforcing to me that Ill see the changes at some point, just got to plod along slowly and surely.
16 weeks seems like a lifetime right now :) and all i want are those summer abs lol
new subscriber - nice to see a down to earth channel without unrealistic bodytypes presenting it... thanks

This is probably the most accurate video on this topic that I've seen online. I used to always try to hit ridiculous goals within 30 days, but as soon as I missed a 'Go Hard Or Go Home' gym session, I'd quit 😂😂😂. Being realistic, consistent to ONE program at a time and commiting to lifestyle changes is so much more beneficial. Weight just falls off and muscles builds as a side effect 🙌🙌🙌

  • @jessicarobertson3453

First time I lost weight I was a single mum with a 3 month old who didn’t sleep. Studied full time but was going through some crap and the gym and nutrition was the only thing I could control. I lost 50kg. Cue: new boyfriend who is now my husband, my son is now 6 years old. I put back on 35kg. It’s taken me 6 months to lose 15kg which is a lot slower than before but circumstances are entirely different. I’m much more confident and content in my body. I’m happy working out for fun and I eat well. We do go out for meals more often now and I don’t say no. Life is made for living and I finally love my life! The last 20kg will come off eventually 😉 plus, I’ve been doing CrossFit for a few months now and feel strong AF!

    • @TheLeanMachines
      @TheLeanMachines  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

thank you so much for sharing your journey Jessica and what a journey it's been. From everything you have put l think the key point is the fact that your training and nutrition is now a positive choise made and fitted into your lifestyle now whereas before, like you say it was the only form of control you had. I see this relationship with people and their training/body very often and it can be very distructive but it sounds like you are in a whole different space now and kicking butt so well done and keep on cracking!!!

This is a great video..very realistic and helpful. Could you make something similar about proper rest and recovery. I'm not just a shift worker..but 56. Seems like I need more recovery time..but not sure what is realistic. What does each group actually need to recover?

I'm the second and last. And can tell you...it's discipline. Saying no, and be almost authistic. It works for me. It's almost being in survivalmode, see it as a journey and your Indiana Jones Looking for the magic six pack.

Over 40, 1 year old baby, partner doesn’t train, 21 pounds lost in 13 weeks (6ft 5 - 191 to 170). Oh and this is healthy loss, good foods and three workouts a week, as soon as I consider myself lean I will switch up the calories and try for a bit of muscle, should of done this at 20! If someone cant lose 6 pounds in 6 weeks they need to get better at counting their calories.

    • @James-rg5gh

great work! It gets harder to lose weight as you start to weigh less, at the end stage, you would require exponential amount of effort to lose the same percentage of fat to hit the weight targets

28% body fat. Parent, in a relationship with a non-training partner, work 9-5, on a hyper balanced calories-restricteddiet, row 1h a day every day since 20 weeks. Still 28% body fat.
    Epic dedeat

For a while I was over estimating cals on exercise and under estimating on food, maybe check that? For instance I use Strava and I take 70% of cals burned as I feel it was too high, also started double checking on my fitness pal and weigh EVERYTHING, at least until you get to know what a portion looks like, dont give up!
