I had my honeymoon in Costa Rica for 11 days a back in November and we explored parts of the country and went horseback riding in the mountains next to Nicaragua... I know the country has its problems, every country does but the people there all around were so much nicer and happier to interact with than 90% of people I talk to here in the states. The produce tasted so much better, especially the fruits. Beautiful country. Even the locals who live in the problems that the country has, say they could never see themselves living somewhere else.
Thanks for your comments to our country. I travel a lot for work and pleasure, I love to, but as you said, I’ll never leave Costa Rica besides the problems we have in here. I love my country, its people and the way we protect our environment. You and all the tourists are always welcome in our country! Pura vida!
So happy for you Leon and your family living the dream. Its a big world out there and plenty of room for us all to explore. I wish you the best best mate. So good to see your face back here.
So exciting, so inspiring, so brave, so jealous 😂. Oh if I had my time over how things would be different. Can’t wait to watch you grow. Love and peace
Emigrating is hard and expensive - done it myself and 3 years in - wouldn’t look back and totally worth it. Took me 2 years to settle and to understand a new system. Well done on escaping the grey and grim old England. Love watching your journey Leon. All the best X
Wow, what an unexpected but delightful surprise! 100% with you on the schooling part, I have a 15 month old and put him in (what I call) the hippie version of Montessori lol
Bienvenidos!! Pura Vida. If you like sporting challenges, you could participate in the Chirripo Race "Carrera Chirripo" at Chirripo National Park. I wish you the best of Costa Rica
Interestingly, you made this make the big jump, I'm currently in Chile with my girlfriend(wife-to-be) she is Chilean herself and we debate the idea of either settling in the UK or Chile. i spent a month last year i am now here for 2 months with her family and to be honest I m liken it more now and am getting more for South America. So this video has given food for thought
Is the channel going to be just Leon now? Not a bad thing. But the interaction between the two of you was what first brought me to your channel and eventually the podcast when you guys got that going.
l certainly don't view it that way but l totally understand what you mean. The channel isn't just mine, it's ours so if JC wants to upload he will, much like myself. It is always a choice. There has been times whereby only JC had uploaded for months and visa versa so it doesn't really' matter too much to us. But l will be honest and say that if l do end up just posting content all the time about CR and living here etc, l will just create another channel down the line as it doesn't make sense to just fill it with my moving process
This is so insanely inspiring 🤩 Thank you so much for sharing! Can I ask where you looked for your rental place? When we did our digital nomad journey, we were using Airbnb, but it’s SO expensive! X
How??!! HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THE NOMAD VISA ETC?! How did you know this country provides these visas? Countries only let people stay forever if they marry someone from that country or they have a degree and work experience in a field that country needs workers in. Please explain how you did this. Please list all your income sources from highest source to lowest
Regarding clothes, there is a chain of shops called Arenas, they do skate and surf brands, probably your best bet. I guess the hardest thing about amazon would be your address, as I'm guessing it's something like, the blue house 100m east of the pulperia by the tree 😂. I lived in Samara for 1 month and Heredia for 3 years. Enjoy your time, Pura Vida mae.
Well done, live the dream!!!! I have one question - You say it's expensive but roughly how much per month would you say you spend? (Rent, food, education, everything) I know it can vary massively but I'm interested in a ball park figure as we also want to try other areas of the world to live.
I own property in Costa Rica and I've been asking myself a question. Why move to a 3rd (2nd) world country if it is expensive? So, I was wondering what you thought on the subject.

Does John still post on TH-cam? If so, what is his channel named?
Your decision was astute.

Sorry if you've already answered this but are you going to continue the TLM podcast? I really enjoyed listening to that 😊
This is so insanely inspiring 🤩 Thank you so much for sharing! Can I ask where you looked for your rental place? When we did our digital nomad journey, we were using Airbnb, but it’s SO expensive! X
Love the idea for your daughters education not starting “formal learning” doesn’t start for a few more years there it’s so much better

Hi! Can you elaborate on how did you relocate your french bulldog to CR please? 😊
Well done, live the dream!!!!

Well, considering everything happening in the world and future, u made a great choice, and i dont say that because i am tico
what about you and Jc? how is it gnna work?
What part of Costa Rica are you in?
How much is the rent?
I own property in Costa Rica and I've been asking myself a question. Why move to a 3rd (2nd) world country if it is expensive? So, I was wondering what you thought on the subject.
