I have not experienced that personally. Not sure if troubleshooting via the YT comment section is the best approach… if you don’t know the history of the car then checking/replacing the basic maintenance items would be a great start. Spark plugs and wires, air filter, fuel filter and yeah maybe even fuel pump. My fuel filter was pretty old and crusty and recently caused an issue while at an autocross event. It’s a super easy change and inexpensive thing to swap out along with the rest of the items (maybe the fuel pump being the toughest?) and changing those things out at least gets you to a known good state on them then you can further troubleshoot from there if necessary. Hope that helps, good luck!
Oh that’s interesting. I don’t have any experience with that but I will say that you could easily find a replacement shift lever at a junk yard or online for pretty cheap so you could just replace the whole thing. Depending on how old the car is you could take the opportunity to rebuild the internals at the same time. Sorry I don’t have any other advice!
Makes me want one! Great video!
Thanks!
9:14 best part😂
Haha right?!?
I have a 99 with a cutout at on WOT at about 5500- 6000 rpm, Im assuming its a fuel pump. Do you have any experience with this?

Still the absolute best mod I’ve done so far. It’s fantastic.
Does the short shifter need a Self-centering spring like other Brands offer?
The one for the Miata does not, not sure about other models.
