  • These crispy Korean fried chicken wings deliver a sweet and spicy flavor that we think you will consider one of the best chicken wings you have ever had!
I am a chicken wing lover. I love all types of wings. I love grilled wings, smoked wings and smoke-fried wings. I like all different types of flavor profiles from Japanese BBQ Wings to Garlic Parmesan Wings. I am always on the hunt for new methods and flavors.
In this recipe we follow what we think is the best way to make CRISPY chicken wings; our Ultimate Crispy Chicken Wing (video on this channel) double fry method. After the final fry we will toss these in a super tasty sweet and spicy Asian sauce. BTW, this sauce could be substituted for any flavor profile.

These were a huge hit for the big game yesterday. 'Oven fried' them using 2 tsp of baking powder instead of corn starch but followed the sauce to a T. Definitely going into the rotation.

Matt - GameChanger for these wings is using potato starch instead of corn starch. Makes a huge difference in texture of crunch.

Matt, tried your frying method today; 20 minutes at 220F, 15 minute rest, and 2 minutes at 400F. Did not make your Korean sauce asI eat Keto, but they were the best wings I’ve ever made. Thank you very much. Darlington, South Carolina

Whoever came up with double-frying the wings is a food genius. Tried it this weekend and the wings were covered in glaze yet still earth-shatteringly crispy, probably the best wings I've ever made and everyone who was over that night could not get enough of them.

This sauce is pretty awesome. I had to sub habaneros as the chili pepper and they turned out fantastic. My first time to do the double fry method. I did a couple of BBQ flavors as well (I have some people with VERY low tolerance for spice heat in the family) and the response was they were the best wings they'd ever had. Lot of time involved, but well worth the result!

Gave this a shot and although a lot of work it’s worth it. The crispness from the double fry is incredible and the sauce was great. I also when out of the box and did a honey hog batch with a honey buffalo sauce that turned out great too. Great stuff per usual Mr. Pittman, keep ‘em comin.

I made these wings today and crispy doesn't do them justice, they are CRUNCHY and amazing! The sauce is just spicy enough and yes it takes the crunch down a bit but no big deal. They truly are the best wings I've ever had.
I'm going to try the sauce on the next batch of general tso chicken I make. The color and heat level will be perfect if you like general tso chicken. 👍👍👏👏

1.) to control the ingredients in my food and reduce pre-packaged chemicals
2.) to control the flavors and heat to my liking
3.) to practice cooking and improve my kitchen skills and learn new techniques
but there aint nothing wrong with using your favorite sauce, rub, or spice mix of the store shelf to get what you want without all the hassle
If you aint got much time or maybe you got people to entertain you can keep things simple and enjoy yourself
