Interesting! I can kinda see how that would work. I wonder though, will it work for my purposes? I'm trying to restore the threads on a VCR's roller guides. I'd think this would cause too much misalignment
I have another video where I use solder braid for the same thing. This would be less likely to cause misalignment as you could use less. (Just enough to get some bite for the screw) You would just have to be careful that no braid could get loose and caused electrical problems.
@Easy Console Fixes I saw that video! I ended up going that route and it worked too The VCR has some other issue too though, wish me luck with further repairs!
