A great piece from Lines In Sand that examines and shines light on the existence of such theories without forcing such theories upon us or trying to change any existing perspectives we may have on. Yet, at the same time, it keeps our minds open to not just one narrative of how things may be. It's truly wonderfully done. Great channel.

If someone wants to claim any Egyptian pyramid is 12.000 years old, they better be ready to provide a mountain of evidence. So far, every single proponent has failed to do so, while at the same time ignoring the existing scientific data that shows us otherwise.

How can it be proven that the pyramids were, indeed, burial structures?
It's easy to discredit alternative theories without providing convincing evidence of your own.
How they were built, their true purpose, etc..
Its all speculation and very little evidence proves otherwise

The two pyramids at Dahshur are associated with Snefru because his name has been found on multiple stones (some of them casing stones, including the date they have been set in to place).
As for the Bent Pyramid not being a failure, the engineer Peter James (from the book Saving the Pyramids) claims some of its corbel vaults are too wide. Let's not forget one of the chambers was braced with logs that are still in place and they tried to create a second chamber above it (as a plan B, after the chamber was unusable) by cutting the corbelled walls. This shows that it was at least a partial failure.

@@Andystuff800 I did. It's definitely an interesting video, but it didn't really addressed the log bracing, wide corbels and the cutting of corbels in order to create a new chamber.
The question of Snefru's pyramids is quite the puzzle.

It seems highly plausible that the builders would've used stars as an aid in constructing diagonal shafts. Thus it is also plausible we can use them together with earth's axial precession to determine approximate dates of construction. Why not focus on this alone and not extend the theory into ridiculous proporsions? Just because stars were used, does not mean everything was about the stars. Can't we take this type of thinking to the extreme, and say the pyramids were all about gravity?
Then there's pi. It feels like most people coming up with these theories have zero practical experience actually contructing anything. You'd be hard-pressed NOT to use pi while constructing something. It's just a god-damn circle - of course pi is going to appear everywhere. Look up straightedge and compass construction, and you'd get a reastic insight into the likely planning stage of a pyramid.
Instead of thinking of the builders as some kind of ubermench, its much better to think of them as engineers solving problems while trying to keep things looking neat and symmetrical. Looking at the world, the same solutions has been invented many times over.. because they inevitably end up demonstrating they're the best, or simply the only practical solution, to solving a common problem. Much like the eye evolved in many species separately, as unlikely as it may seem to us, yet it is true.
You're being very open-minded and fair in your reading and interpretation though, which is commendable. Great video, hope to see you tackle book 2, even though I think I refer your dedicated stuff on the pyramids. 👍

Could the steep angle of the bottom half of the Bent Pyramid have been the same as the angle of the Meidum Pyramid? That would suggest there's a actually a connection between these pyramids and the Red Pyramid that would not only be based on the 'theory' that they were built for Snefru.

This is the fourth deep dive I’ve done on the channel of this nature, so I’m not really sure why people are upset about this one in particular 😄 There’s a lot of “alternative” thinking around the pyramids and if someone is going so far as to write an entire paper or book on a theory, I’m more than happy to read it and pull it apart and see what’s inside.
