Hi Chris. Yes, we love it around there! I'd forgotten all about the YHA there until we'd dropped down to it. I guess it gets a good bit of trade from the Cleveland Way. Wild camping options looked few and far between along that stretch! Cheers for watching👍
Hey guys, great to see you back out with Maria 😉😊 very lovely. The sky and weather looks better then it has been, roll on the beginnings of spring 😊 great walk guys
Hi there! Yes we got lucky with the weather apart from the day we arrived 😁 It did make for a stunning walk! Hope you are both keeping well. Take care👍😊
Hi Aggy. Yes, the weather was a real surprise after driving up there in the tail end of Eunice. Pretty windy, as Franklin soon took up the reins, but at least he forgot the rains! 😉
It was lovely to join you today. Great weather for a walk (a tad windy!). The beach was stunning and we enjoyed the town too. The path looks great, really clear. Thanks for sharing 🍻
Hi there! Yes, it was great walking weather. Nice to see the back of the rain for a few days! Glad you enjoyed joining us👍 The area around Robin Hood's Bay holds loads of great memories for us, so it was great visit again! All the best & catch you soon👍😊
The coastal views were amazing and the old gunner station so interesting. What a great sunny day. I know what you mean about railway tracks. But this one was beautiful
Hello Nicole! We really enjoyed the walk, and it was lovely to get some blue sky after all the storms we've had recently! 😁 That railway must have given the passengers some stunning views when it was open! I can imagine Victorian ladies looking out as they travelled from Scarborough to Whitby to buy a piece of Whitby jet jewellery 😁 Thanks for watching & have a great weekend👍😊
Robin Hood's Bay is beautiful. Love the great path and the views of the bay. The cave would be cool to see. It looked a bit muddy. That's a lot of steps. That gun bunker was pretty cool. Great arches on those bridges.
Hi Bill & DeAnna! We should have another video up next week exploring the little village of Robin Hood's Bay. It really is a special little place! 😁 We had a lovely walk, and the weather was great after all the recent storms! Hope you are both keeping well. Take care👍😊
Hi Anthony. It was a lovely walk, with fantastic views! That must have been a very scenic train journey, and even the bridges were like individual works of art! Glad you enjoyed watching👍
Thanks for taking us along des. I enjoyed the coastal settlements and the bunker surprised me - I mean how much of it was disappearing. Time stands still for nobody. That rail line was another highlight for me. Loved the gorse bushes and the bridges. Good going - Nice walk. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark! We really enjoyed the walk. The bunker was interesting, but I wonder how many more storms before the rest of it slides down the cliff? That must have been one very scenic train ride back in the day! It was great to see all the bridges, as each one seemed to have a completely different design and construction. Real craftsmanship! Hope all is well with you👍 Really appreciate you watching!👍😊
Beautiful sunny day! I always love the place names too, Robin Hood’s Bay sounds very exciting and it’s very pretty! I hadn’t known about the Cleveland Way before, nice to hear about it and see some too. Gorgeous views and nice planning to have a flat stretch to finish up! 👍🥾🥾
Hi Jennifer! We did get lucky with the weather for our stay! It was horrendous storms all week before we went and when we were driving up there. I think the Cleveland Way is around 110 miles, and covers some beautiful countryside across the Yorkshire Moors before cutting around to the coast. Maria definitely gave the nice flat return track her seal of approval! 😁 Thanks very much for watching! Take care & see you soon👍😊

I walked from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay last summer on a glorious sunny day and had a brilliant time and you are right about RHB, it's a real gem, which I intended to film but just as I got there, I saw a bus back to Whitby was about to pull out and the lure of Whitby fish n chips proved too much! I had to lo then you mentioned Boggle Hole as we went on a group walk to there from RHB and the forecast said a slight chance of an afternoon shower, yet we were hit by an absolute monsoon, thunder and lightening, never seen anything like it, poor Mrs Metalman was like a drown rat by the time we got back to the car. Looked and sounded a right windy walk but good to see you kept dry and saw the sun all day. The Cinder Track back is a much better track back as the coastal path there is notoriously muddy even in the summer.
