YOUR COUNTRY IS SO PRISTINE, NO LITTER, NOT CROWDED, ANIMALS CONTENT, SKY BLUE, OCEAN WAVES KISSING THE BEACH, ENDING WAS AWESOME, OLD ROW HOMES SO WELL KEPT, PAINTED DIFFERENT HUES...SO MANY STEPS, FENCES MADE BY HARD WORK OF CITIZENS PROUD OF THE RESULT WE SEE DECADES, CENTURIES LATER!!!THANK YOU!!
I think the same! Where I live in the US some of the trails have litter and poop bags. So bad for the wildlife. IDK what's wrong with some of us. :( The few ruin it for the nature lovers.
Such a lovely walk. Thank you for sharing this with us. I’m ecstatic that there is no verbal commentary and no music blasting me! Just a nice walk, which I can accomplish in small increments or all at once, as my body dictates. Again, much appreciated! 😊
Great video mate! I live in the fake Whitby located in Canada which was named after this Whitby. The Whitby here in Canada is flat, boring, lifeless and car infested with asphalt as far as the eye can see. A true car-centric suburban hellhole. I never knew that England was so picturesque and beautiful! If only Canada was charming and walkable like England. Whitby does reminds of a town called New Brightwater from the video game Sudeki!
I wish I was born in USA instead of UK Bruce ,zion, monument valley grand canyon ,horseshoe bend, goblin valley, lake powell, page ,yellowstone,Yosemite been to them all some several times love hiking in the warm desert !
A really great and interesting walk on a very beautiful day and I enjoyed the walk path along the pasture with nice sunny sky above you this was a very and the magnificent view from the cliff of the sea was so very breathtakingly amazing to see as well as the sheep, this was a really great tour here and a great video as well Thank You very much and have a great week.🤠👌🇬🇧📱📹
@@DavesWalks I'll be 59 next month and the only way I can see this beautiful countryside and scenery is in videos like yours or on Street View on Google Earth Maps, Thank You for your great videos and take care friend.🤠👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
My most favorite video ever!!! How wonderful Dave. Im 77 now and not able to walk the trails and certainly not the distance but ill use my tread mill with your videos. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Had a holiday here last year, we went in October when the church yard & the 199 steps were lit up for Halloween, lots of goths walking around and people dressed like vampires, then the fireworks over the ruins, great holiday would love to go back again, before I get too old to tackle the steps !🧛🏻♂️
Congratulations on your 164th. I'm so glad I found your channel. It is the best. When I think a walk is more stunning than the last, you take us to somewhere even more beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful country with us.
I’d love to know how many steps you do on a filming day, especially this one! You must be pretty fit Dave. Not so much as a puff on camera even after a hill climb. 😄
Wow...very extraordinary, this is the longest walk film i have ever seen, and the end of your three hour walking it's look like a sea pier and residential areas, I'm from Bali Indonesia I love walking along the beach, but the sea view in your country is look very different. I love the wide expanse of green grass and the livestock eating grass comfortably. Very beautiful and amazing universe. Thank you so much to sharing this. Have a great day.
Do the COTSWOLD WAY it's a 101 MILE TREK through THE COTSWOLDS and the path brings you through some awesome MEDIEVAL VILLAGES with 500+ year old THATCHED COTTAGES its outstandingly beautiful place and you finish in THE CITY of BATH which was an OLD ROMAN CITY with hot thermal springs. But you could just do as many miles as you want really it's up to you I'm doing it next month so look it up on TH-cam if your intrested and cant wait to go but knowing me I'll do 1000 meters and say thats it I'm finished😂👍 no I'll do it all takes 8-11 days depending how fast you walk really 😊
yes, I was watching! a beautiful walk. I enjoyed every minute. in places the swathes of green looked like velvet, whether grass or shrubs. lovely colours and a gorgeous sea at the beginning. thanks so much for walking this walk.
an absolutely epic walk!!! from the fluffy white sheep in their black stockings, to the haunting cathedral ruins, and all the land, sea, and sky in between - it was glorious. and church bells, too! thank you, dave. ❤❤❤
I always loved Robin Hood, Maid Miriam, he was a hero and she was so pretty, growing up in California! Of course the Disney animated movie, the older movie with Errol Flynn, the books. Every place you showed is beautiful and pretty. It also reminds me where I lived on the central California coast. I lived in Cambria, CA across from a small local park and on the other side, a long beach and the Pacific Ocean were my views from my home for eight years, I can hear and see the ocean everyday. The central California coast line has a lot of walking trails, very green grass and flowers. People going on long hikes up and down the hills with their family and their dogs. There’s a few places were one of two park benches several feet away from each other so you can sit and watch the ocean in peace. There’s cliffs that high or higher, especially in Big Sur, CA. Going up Highway 1 to Monterey and Carmel. I miss it there but the cost of living by the ocean in a nice home just got too expensive. Good thing we can drive to the coast anytime. My husband’s niece lives in Chippenham, hopefully we’ll be able to visit her and her family soon and see the beautiful U.K. and all it has to offer to see. Thank you so much for sharing with us. 😁🩷
Beautiful and the coastline continues to be just as pretty north of there up into Northumberland! My gorgeous homeland that I get to enjoy from the US thanks to you and other walkers ❤🇬🇧
This has to be the most magical place I have ever seen but I think I'd get lost every time I stepped out my door. It's nice to know that such amazing places really do exist. Thank you Dave.
hi dave. I like english nature and small towns. thanks to your walks, it’s as if I’m walking through these places myself. these places are cozy, calm, sunny, peaceful, making me smile. If I had several lives, I would spend one of them living in an english port city)
I went here 10 years ago love this village it was like stepping back into the passed had fish and chips bread and butter and tea lovely day bought a Jet necklace for my son set in a Celtic cross all the little houses some are still the same and hundreds of years old ❤️
Superb!! The bucolic pastures on your left flank with the sea ever to your right. And the breeze making it all so much more real for viewers. You did so well in framing stunning views of cliffs and sea with varied sorts of plant growth framing the foreground...but, honestly Dave, how did you choreograph a sheep on a bench and scampering cows? This one is on my growing list of Dave's adventures to watch again during the long days of winter ahead.
It took many takes, but eventually the sheep and cows cooperated with me to deliver these shots, and they did me proud. The deer however was having non of it, totally refused to be on camera. 😅👍
It is truly an epic walk. Just the thing for a rainy Sunday morning when you can't go out yourself ... or don't want to. Brilliant! Thanks, Dave 👌😃
It is a pleasure to share it with you Heike!

Trust me it’s crowded but we do have some quieter spots if you’re lucky. The South West coast/Cornwall gets so busy in the summer

I just found your channel and I love it. I do have a question. Does the path cross private property?
Beautiful nice great country good for relaxing thank you
@@LupitaPolit-ng5pf I was just concerned about the possibility of trespassing.
many public paths do cross private land, it is perfectly fine to walk the paths as long as you don't stray away from the path.
@@melissamills9307trespassing is not illegal in england. If youre on someones property and they ask you to leave just go and youre okay

Nice walk. Great ruin and graveyard. No wonder the Goths go there, iconic place. You can't not write Dracula after seeing that. Best wishes.
I'll admit, I skipped to the end part, but what a spectacular view of the town! Amazing!
There is a video which explores the a lot of the Town of Whitby, includes going up and down those steps and with plenty more views :)
I did this walk 21 years ago with 2 kids in a double pushchair. It nearly killed me as I didn't reckon on the steps, gates, bridges etc..never again.
That is no mean feat! Glad you survived!
