  • Why I think the Oz Machine Rosie is the EDC GOAT and why it makes sense that there will be a Rosie Large in the future.

The gold putter is my favorite, but this finish looks very nice. I would take this for sure. Can i order one from them custom?

I don’t think they’re taking any custom orders right now from what I’ve seen

I do have to say though, I’ve heard so many people say that a large Rosie with a 3.25-3.5” blade would be killer. Over the last year, not needing a blade like my SmF or even the xm18, a 3.25” blade has been my go to. So a slightly larger than original Rosie would probably be one of the best sellers for them. The 3” is a goat already. I’m curious if they will even bother with a second design like Koenig and Grimsmo. Dial in the first design, then do the same for a second. They already have the flagship.

Agree. They prob don’t have to come out with anything else and will still kill it in the knife market but seeing how Oz is really in tune with the knife community, I’m sure they’ll come out with a Large at some point.

A Rosie is next on my list. I was looking for a holt a couple of weeks ago and actually scored a killer haptic for $600 from a busy that’s now my work user lol. So the Rosie will be my out of work carry.

That’s a great deal on the Haptic! Yeah I’ve had the haptic and the Rosie and I personally love the Rosie a bit more for EDC, but can’t go wrong with either!

That's what I like about it. It's different.

Yeah I personally love the square silhouette of the knife but the blade shape itself isn’t as attractive to me but. It doesn’t take away from how awesome this knife is in every other way.

CRK, Hinderer and strider aren’t even close to the level of these. That’s why the xm is half the price. It’s literally half as nice. Nowhere near the level of fit and finish as the oz Rosie, holts, lamia, etc.

I can see your point and for sure these top tier companies are doing that extra work and care to bring us these amazing knives.

Those look way too expensive for design and what it is. It’s not like a custom knife it’s just a high end production knife is it not?! I feel like this should be no more than 500 or 600 and that’s being generous.
Have people forgotten or are unaware of what’s out there?
CRK, Strider, Hinderer, ZT 0777 lol. A Chavez or any of the thousands of ti high end frame locks that could be had for 500-800. A Kirby lambert. God I could go on but today there’s a lot of hype knives that are ugly and not performers that are eaten by the masses such as these oz Rosie, Lamia SPK, Koenig etc.
Not my money. If you like it man and you got the dough.

To me the Rosie lives up to the hype. Its is an absolute dream in the hand. Its is by far the most comfortable knife I’ve ever owned. And I’ve had many many knives

You’re way off here lol. They are cnc semi customs. You aren’t quite grasping the amount of hand finishing done on these. They don’t come off the cnc mill smooth. There’s hires of work that needs done on each one to get this kind of finish. I’m a cnc operator by profession so I can say this for a fact.

Chavez are made in China by reate. These are American made. People that buy them have the dough. For sure. ZT and Spyderco make great knives that are probably more what you're looking to spend.

Appreciate your opinions and I can see your point but I also know that I don’t know the work and expense it takes to manufacture a knife in America so for me, buying this knife wasn’t so much of trying to find the most affordable knife but supporting a knife company I believe in. In person though, using this knife, I’ve come to experience how well built it is, the thoughtful design choices, and continues to excel in everything a knife should excel in (cutting performance, comfort in hand, carriability, solid lockup). Yes, for sure I can get alll this in a Spyderco for $100 but I’m at a point in my knife journey where I appreciate these higher end stuff. Kinda like when you go from a Toyota Prius to a Lamborghini. Both do the same thing essentially but the person who buys the Lambo most likely has a little more appreciation for the mechanics and details of a fine driving machine.
