My new fatty sng aluminum is hydraulic glass like open on the slow roll. I have a sng MEFP g10 that flies out smooth and fast but different than the aluminum. These are new version of sng of which I have had many in the past. I’d say they are more refined today. You can get 20cv or 3v on the sng and even magnacut. No stick on mine. But I know they can be like that. I have an OG 08 Original pivot Umnumzaan and with an updated Magnacut blade. I prefer CRK’s pre Idaho marked and or certainly at least one that was produced while Chris Reeve was still with the company. I remember having some Hinderer’s before and I liked them but they didn’t cut as well I know different knife for different role. But like today one thing I noticed is that striders behind the edge are thinner than they used to be. Hinderer perhaps has put out thinner edges lately as well. My grail I own which is like beating the video game. After years of many knives I have few like 12 but I got the best knife I’ve ever had in a custom Strider SMF nightmare grind with cracked ice flats, and a titanium handle that looks like tree bark (groot finish).
I don’t own any striders, but I have handled a few. I would take a CRK or hindered over a strider any day. I like to customize my knives, so I would choose hindered if I could only have one.
Dated knives that were not even good back then, frame lock is hoky. I love the SNG but carry a Protech version. Open construction sucks too, i carried an XM 24 tip down in my pocket for awhile and the blade sliced up my pocket. A simple Buck 110 wasbetter then these knives and now with the tri ad shark lock and i love the scorpion lock whats really the point of a stupid frame lock. I hate the detent blade retention as well how if it pops open your screwed. Stupid yupie knives. I used to carry Emersons 15 years ago bit i wouldnt buy one now, maybe one for nostalga and i kind of want a ZT 0393 but just to have one.
If you carried anything 15 years ago, that must be an old picture of you. Lol. Even Shiro and Herman use frame lock. Also Holt, Koenig and Oz. They all sell like hot cakes. Frame lock isn't my favorite, but what's so bad about them?
Just got my first CRK Large Inkosi in black micarta today.
Awesome! One of my favorites! Enjoy!

Sounds like an awesome collection!

What are thouse gloves please ?
First tactical gloves. I think I got them on Amazon.
@@POVKnives thank you
Can't even get a strider....have to pay secondary market prices. The other 2 brands can get anywhere.....
Striders are tough. Try steel addiction. I tend to get mine there.
