You have made a really interesting game, and it feels very original as well because of how long and time consuming games usually are, it feels like a breath of fresh air!
I played Magic Archery before this video, it reminded me of the flash game era; a simple but entertaining game that can be finished in an afternoon or less
super fun little game! wish there was more of it. but on the other side it feels good to finally finish an idle game

"Money gain is the weakest link right now" so let's NOT use the magic points to increase the money gain by 200%.
His allocation and reasoning for magic was frustrating. Hoarding points for portal should probably be last right? Using the points scale everything instead of just one thing.

@@feinne7652 It would've been a good strategy if the portal arrow attack gain was multiplicative
but it's actually additive so it's just linear growth so what's the point in having more than 10 magic points at any given time
Also, "We lost so mutch dps" going from 4.7 mil to 4 mil is not that mutch in my book. The scaling of the upgrades are gonna nullify it in the next 2 mins

It’s absolutely frustrating me to extreme levels that you’re just refusing to spend you magic points to increase 20 different things, as if they don’t come back. You max out the tree, increase all kinds of things, and it will just eventually keep going up and up. Why would holding onto them for 10% gain for 1 thing, overrule 100s of % for 10 other things! Then just going back to 10% for that 1 thing!!! I’m so insanly aggravated I can’t even make sense of my typing!!!

It's not as dumb an idea as it first seems. He increases his DPS by holding the magic points (due to the portal arrow gaining damage from unspent magic points) instead of spending them on things he may not need immediately, and by increasing his DPS that means more XP, and more XP means more scaling. I just had a run where I didn't hold magic points and it took 49 mins 50 something seconds which is 1 min 50 seconds slower to finish the game than Sifd, so even if it didn't help him to hold them it didn't hinder that much either.

I suspect, mathematically, upgrading your targets actually slows down how fast you gain exp.
It takes longer to kill the target the higher the level of it is. This can result in you losing out on how quickly you gain exp.
I would guess the upgraded targets give enough extra XP to make it worth it, otherwise that would be a silly upgrade.
@@Bluhbear when you conscider how much slower it is to kill the targets, i would think that breaking the previous teir of targets faster until it caps, and then shifting to the higher teir of targets.
there is a lot of places where optimization can happen.
Nah cuz after awhile the portal arrow kicks in and just one shots everything, plus you get so much more XP from the upgraded targets

My current fastest time is 46:11, barely under your time as you posted this video a day ago. While your strat is pretty much fine...your stratagy has value, but not as much as you put into it. If this game goes endless? It is /by far/ the best skill. But otherwise, it requires a little bit more thinking to actually spend them.
I reccomend gold, accuracy exp boost, and vitality exp boost since that's where I struggled...maybe investing so hard into Strength was a terrible idea, since I mostly did strength and EXP boosting the EXP boosting skill.

45:15 it's multiplicative, going from an x2 to x3 is a 50% higher multiplier just like the numbers showed

Did you level up magic affinity? It says it speeds up magic exp gain.
Just wanted to remind people, that they probably got a lot of pain killers going through their system right now and maybe they are not making the absolute best decisions they could be :D
i followed this dev after i saw they releaced this free so they could get used to releacing games
Ok I don't want to like sound rude and mean this is honest advice.
I think maybe you should try moving your channel in a more rougelike way now if you dont want to do that that's okay and I understand but most youtubers stick to like a niche 0f games and it seems like your rougelike games outperform your other vods.
But again this is your channel and your stuff so I will just support anything you do put out thank you for the cool content mister❤
